- In this video, I cover the details of how how to conduct and interpret the results of an independent sample t-test in SPSS. You'll learn how to compare the mean/average of a variable across two groups of responses. For example, you could compare the mean age of men vs. women in a dataset. I'll cover topics like Levene's Test for Equality of Variance, when to assume equal variance and when not to, how to report the results of a t-test, and give you a chance to try it yourself.
This SPSS tutorial series is designed to teach you the basics of how to analyze and interpret the results of data using SPSS. I will cover everything from the very basics of the main windows within SPSS, to manipulating data, to running and interpreting meaningful analyses like t-tests, ANOVA, regression, and many more, and visualizing results.

How can you compare the mean difference between two groups? Say, comparing the mean percentage reduction of blood pressure (from pre- & post- tests) between intervention 1 & intervention 2?
Awsome....Where I can get those Excel template?
Very good
I want to test, for example, if women are more impulsive in buying than men. I did exactly like you and it turned out that there are differences. I could say from the start according to the hypothesis that women are more impulsive or should I have a table somewhere to show this exactly? or the test type is not good. As for gender, I only have women and men.
What about normality? Can't you only rely on mean comparison if the data is normally distributed?
Thanks
