I deep condition if my hair needs it, which is rarely. I wash my hair twice a week and use quality products including a rinse out conditioner. Your hair is gorgeous.
Thank you Ms Ossie! You keep your hair moisturized by washing it twice. Wash day is when you get MAXIMUM MOISTURE! As I always say...if it ain't broke don't fix it! When I started graying I started deep conditioning more, prior to that I did it occasionally but it has made a world of difference in my hair.
Hi Ms. Karen. I really need to improve my Deep Conditioning regimen. I don't do it frequently enough. Thanks for more great tips! Your hair is gorgeous!
Hey Ms. Antoinette! Good to hear from you! Thank you so much! Yes. Deep conditioning is great for the hair -- steaming is another level! I will discuss that one in more detail soon!
Hi Ms. Karen new follower here. How do you feel about DIYs deep conditioning? Thank you for educating many of us on how to care for our hair. God bless you❤🙏
Hi Kaleema! Go for it! DIYs in general are great if you choose to do them. Everything doesn't have to do store bought. Most small business owned hair care lines started in the kitchen anyway. 🤗. I think the key is understanding the ingredients you are using and their purpose. For example, many people will create a DIY conditioner using eggs as a protein treatment; eggs can be used in a DIY but they not a protein treatment as the molecular structure of egg protein is too large to penetrate the strand. This is just an example. Are you using a specific conditioning treatment?
@@KarenofCurlHouse Thank you for responding! I’m actually using a mayonnaise deep conditioner called organics Africans best. I haven’t started a DIY but thought of making something similar to the brand I use on my hair. I notice many use mayonnaise and eggs combined with olive oil. 😊
Thank you so much for your channel. I am totally gray now and I do condition, but not once a week. However I will start. I have heating cap, is this ok? Does it matter what kind of steamer to purchase?
You sure can!!! That's an oil treatment which is excellent for hair as well. However, still condition your hair first, rinse out, then do the oil treatment under the dryer.

Hello there! A steam cap is great! Definitely use it! I am working on a video for steaming and will make some recommendations.
Can the Curl House conditioner be used for this purpose?
ABSOLUTELY!!!
Is it okay to deep condition 2x a week? Wash once a week and deep conditioner 2x a week
Hello there! Do you mean deep condition 2x per month? So wash once a week and deep condition every other week?
Can you just use avocado oil and plastic cap to deep condition?
You sure can!!! That's an oil treatment which is excellent for hair as well. However, still condition your hair first, rinse out, then do the oil treatment under the dryer.
