Hey Karen! Loved The Video, Super Useful And Helpful Tips For Me! Just A Question! Can I Prepoo With The Steamer Method, Wait The 8 Hours Or So, Then Wash, Then Deep Condition Under The Hooded Dryer? Just Wondering If This Is A Good Idea!
Thank you for your channel. I relate better to your channel beacause I am 50+ The gray hair and menopause videos are great. Questions: 1) When I stretch my hair, it is to the middle of my back, but shrinkage struggle is real. My hair draws up to my chin. Any suggestions for styles? 2) Will you post links to the cute hair accessories you wear? 3) I have a "conditioning" cap that is warmed up in the microwsve. It produces "moist heat" so is this equal to "steaming" or is it a "deep conditioner" bc it is a cap? Thanks for reading my long comment.
Hey there! Thanks a bunch! You absolutely can add a carrier oil to a moisturizing conditioning treatment especially now as it cold 🥶 outside so the extra punch of oil will help lubricate your hair. The video I posted today actually makes this recommendation 🤗 However, I would NOT add oil to protein treatments in general as you undermine the benefits of the protein.
I am already on it and jas been doing Bone Broth Collagen for years now. It does have some benefits physically for me, thank God. This video is awesome and I will follow your advice. Be blessed. Time for a hair wash since I missed it Friday.
@KarenofCurlHouse I use a brand called, "Ancient Nutrition." By Josh Ruben and Dr. Axe. I saw them both on TBN and hear his testimony. This man was on the brink of Death.

Thank you Karen, for all of the great suggestions! I plan to incorporate bone broth in my hair treatment plan. You are the BEST! Thanks again for sharing and I look forward to your new product line! 😊
Thank you for your videos, please I would like to ask if the pre poo should be done after taking down protective style and before using a detangling conditioner ?
Thank you so much for the tips, Karen! This last time I lost a lot of hair in the shower, because I spent so much time detangling my hair each time I washed my hair. I used my fingers to datangle, but I still lost a lot because I just can't keep my hair tangle free when I wash it. Plus my sensitive skin is prone to eczema and psoriasis, which is on my neck now, so shampoo running down my neck really burns lately. I am going to treat myself to salon visits for a while. And I was always interested in bone broth! I will try it! 😊😊😊♥️♥️♥️
Hey there Ms Luwana! Always good to hear from you. And the suggestion about applying vaseline to the neck on wash day was a great one. It reminds me on when we would use petroleum on the scalp before applying a relaxer. I have tried pre-pooing yet?
@@KarenofCurlHouse Hi Karen! Yes, I always prepoo, but oils don't work for me. I use a special prepoo cream from the company Mane Choice called Heavenly Halo

@@CharlotteMasonTT hey there! No it’s not damaging at all. 2x per week is just fine but make sure you incorporate deep conditioning treatments at least 2x per month as well.
Hi Karen! Thanks for this update. Question. I don't eat red meat. Fish [certain], turkey, and chicken are my proteins here ....as well as known vegetables. Will broth from the proteins I incorporate above here work to help with collagen? Please advise.
Hello there! I recommend detangling with RINSE OUT CONDITIONER in your hair. Rinse out gives a lot of slip and makes it easier to detangle. I have created a few videos on this ... here's a few: ruclips.net/video/iUTFjdrH3gI/видео.html ruclips.net/video/DXlC7YIv2XA/видео.html

Hey there! In general, grease is fine when straightening the hair BUT keep the grease a few inches away from the scalp as it can heat up and burn the scalp -- resulting in alopecia which is in part why don't recommend grease for straightening the hair.. Grease is a sealant so will block out moisture from the air keeping the hair straighter for a longer period of time. If using grease, less is more.
You say put about a tablespoon of oil in your conditioner when you’re doing deep condition I put a lot like maybe 3-4 tablespoons is that too much? Lol😂😂😂
