Absolutely LOVE your videos ! After using the ceramic coat, is a waxing the next step--or is it not needed due to the ceramic protection? If waxing is needed, do I do it immediately or wait the 24 hour wash curing time? Thank you for the great work you do !
Not sure the point of this comparison if you weren’t going to do the 24hr cure on the turtle wax ceramic. It’s kind of unfair as it seemed predictable that the ceramic will fail against washing without the cure.
Hey pan quick question, should I out on a sealant and then put the seal and shine. Or is it possible to only use seal and shine have protection. Protection matters to me alot so, I feel like i can use a sealant first then apply seal and shine. Lemme know what you think!
Hi! Thanks for watching. With 24h of curing time, Ceramic Spray Coating is as resistant if not more compared to Seal N Shine. I spoke about that in my dedicated Ceramic Spray Coating review. In this video, I purposefully didn’t follow the instructions of Ceramic Spray Coating that state one has to wait 24h of curing time before washing, to prove how important it is to follow the instructions, as most people typically don’t read the instructions. It was also in response to my viewers who wrote to me asking a real world test with no curing time just to see the results.
Pan, fully understand your thought process, however I would like to see the test after following the instructions on both. Would just be nice to see. Thanks,
So please delete this test, make it fair and let it cure for 24 hours (both to be fair) and run the test again that is the only way you can make a comparison between these 2. Hope you will revise :) keep these kind of tests coming
Says right in the description he wanted to see how the new ceramic spray would fare against immediate washing and chemical exposure.... I'm sure the test you're looking for is coming soon.
I'm starting to think this product is not worth it. 24 hours and it's not too tier? The ice and shield is good for budget, but I would rather use something else that takes less time to cure and offers better results.
Funky.Ass.Breakz I understand if you are washing these videos on a smart TV you don’t see the description..... Purely based on the subject that you see her you would assume it is a direct comparison between the two but apparently it is not, which is fine of course but again to truly make a comparison allow the product to cure otherwise you cannot compare durability
Wow: I’m shocked by how many people are whining about the ceramic cure time. Do the rest of us ADULTs a favor; read the title, do a google search to answer your own question, or go whine someplace else if you don’t have an intelligent comment or relevant question. This guy put time and effort into making this video, not to mention buying the product. How about some appreciation? Pan - Thanks for the video. I’m sure most of your subscribers appreciate and understand the relevance ( including me ) of this video.
Ice & seal is the winner! My other option is to use TW ceramic spray coating first & let it cure for 72 hours then spray a coating of I&S for a longer lasting protection for m6 car. Anyway Pan, you showed us another amazing live proof video. Thanks man! Cheers.
Agree with others, try this later and follow the recommended cure time. But as a test, it is just a perfect validation of why something might fail or perform to expectations. I am glad to see this type of test, it shows a failure!

Whilst the comments about requiring 24hrs cure time are correct its important to note that this doesnt invalidate the test in any way. If you are not able to allows 24hrs cure time, then the better product is clearly "ICE SEAL N SHINE". So likely will be better choice for 90+% of end users. For the enthusiast and perhaps professionals offering a lower tier car valeting option I agree that the test would need to be carried out, this time allowing 24hrs cure time, to be of any real informative value. Hope your able to do this!

Great video Pan! Very surprised at the results. Looks like Ice is the better product. But to be fair, you should have waited the 24 hours for the ceramic spray to cure as directed.

Excellent demonstration as Always. I was surprised that the Seal N Shine did so well and in my opinion, way out performed the Ceramic Spray. Unless the 24 hour cure is the key for the ceramic spray, then I would go with the Seal N Shine. Thanks as always. Would like to see that test again with a 24 hour wait period, just to see if it makes a difference. FYI... Yes the key for Ceramic Spray Coating is 24 hours. Once it fully cures, it performs equally to Seal N Shine in torture tests. And thanks for the kind words Shon! @@rolandvencel4256 Not in my books. I personally don't have time for curing time so Seal N Shine will work better for most users. It's the ease that you can apply it and drive and not be worried about a curing time. If you do have the time, the best to you. For how minuscule the difference was for all that 24 hour curing time, it's not worth it for users like myself.

I use both products. If I'm in a hurry I use spray and shine, when I have the time to let it cure I use the ceramic spray. When the ceramic spray is fully cured it beats spray and shine in durability and shine. Both are extremely good products for reasonable prices!
Interesting...would be good to see how the Spray Ceramic worked after a 24 hour cure and potential second coat. Right now, I’d not be convinced to stop using the Seal and Shine. Looks to be more durable and still cheaper by the bottle!

Seal and shine seems to be quite an amazing product. Besides a full blown ceramic coating it seems to hold up better than almost every other product. I would have liked to see you wait 24 hours for a proper comparison but without the wait time it held up just as well as any other ceramic spray coating on the market which isn’t great considering the higher cost for some of the other brands with Sio2 built in.
The real test for me is the duribility of these products after 1-3 months and applied as the directions on the bottle say. I was a big fan of the seal & shine after watching similar tests and appling the product myself. Not seeing anything that would change my mind from this test, especialyl since the Hybrid Solution is 1/2 again more for that product.
Seal n Shine hands down. Jimbo did the torture test as well allowing the 24 hour curing time and same results...Seal n Shine held up better than the hybrid.

Lol at the comments telling him to redo the test and he needs to let the ceramic cure. I'm pretty sure Pan understands that. Pre order your own bottle and test it yourself how you like. Point of this test was to see how it performed without the cure time, which according to turtle wax it only needs before you wash or apply a second coat. I think the ceramic held up pretty good considering. Whose gonna use an APC and strip wash to wash their vehicle everytime?
@Pan TheOrganizer no worries man. I thought the video was good for exactly what you said you were doing. Lol love the videos, keep up the good work. PS, I think for me it's still seal and shine🤷♂️

Obviously, not allowing the ceramic to cure, it was not really a fair test. It would be good to give it the 24 hours to see if its durability matches the seal n shine. Sorry, Pan, but this demands a do over.
I think it was cool to do it this way too even if it was not fair shows how fast one gives your results and shows difference between the 2. Now with a second review applying both and 24+ hours later same steps repeated could show IF there is a difference at all after all they claim "curing" time is necessary. So true, lets repeat this with following the recommended application.

@@PanTheOrganizer Yes you stated that no cure time was given and wrote this also in the description. However I believe users mainly interested in comparing this new product with the older SealNShine when both are properly used. As this is a brand new member of the TW family and because the rational buyer is sceptical to say at least it would be nice to see a real "battle" between these 2 products. I think no one questions what happened here and you were absolutely correct, it is simply just most of use wish to see the real difference between the 2. So it was nice to see the potential weakness of the missused application but I personally at least would be certainly more interested to see the strenghts and benefits of the ceramic edition as this was only shown on promotion videos where you see the beeding and sheeting of water right after fresh application (and to be honest, any hydrophobic material can do that right after the application at least for 5 minutes).

pan, any idea if you have to discard the microfiber towel after application or can it be thrown in wash and re-used? i am asking for both seal n shine and their ceramic sio2 spray. thanks.
No. They’re actually very clear on it. No curing time needed if you’re driving off in the elements. 24h curing time needed if you’re applying a 2nd coat or if you plan on washing the car. This video proves the point about washing immediately after application.
Even though the 24 hr curing time wasn't given to the turtle spray, this was still a great detailed process showing the abuse that the sprays can go through before you would think about re-applying. I just bought the Turtle and am excited to put on my new car this weekend! Doesn't seem like the casual consumer would miss out by using either one of these!
Correct. Both are very good products. If you follow the instructions properly for the Ceramic Spray Coating, it actually lasts twice as long in my testing compared to Seal N Shine.
@@PanTheOrganizer Hey pan can I later these products!? Can I first apply a coating of Ceramic spray and then use seal and shine every 2 or 3months to maintain it apart from washing with a ph neutral shampoo!?

@@PanTheOrganizer I really enjoy your videos but this one would have been that much better if you had included the 24-hour cure and retested the chemical resistance. Seal N Shine all the way. Who has the time to wait 24hrs to cure, Seal N shine does the job straight away without the hassle. Still my pick, love that product.
Hey there! Luckily during this 24 hour curing time you are allowed to drive right out into the elements! You simply can not wash or apply a second layer during this time.
I have a 2023 Colorado picked up last year. Keep it in pretty good condition. Haven’t had to do any type of claim to it yet, but I did do a IPC wash and the product work great 👍🏽
Great video Pan, exactly what I tough would happen. With the proper curing time as you mentioned, probably hybrid will raise on top. Both good products, still for me I don’t care to much about durability since I clean my cars often and dry them using BM, I love the gloss and slickness of it,and how the car looks, still durable enough for what I want. Great video again Pan 👍👌
Hi Pan, I'm very impressed after watch your video about those product. my car has DIY ceramic coated, and I use ceramic gloss as well for drying aid. my question is Can I also use TW ice n seal & TW pure shine, what Pros and Cons by doing that? thank you Pan🙏🙏
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you Mr Pan. In your opinion, how would you say the overall longevity/effectiveness of the new formula, compares with the Spray Ceramic Coating?
Seal N Shine as good as it is, for what it is, is still in the lower tier ICE line. It lasts 4-6 months on average. The Ceramic Spray Coating is in the top tier Hybrid Solution line. If you apply two layers as recommended (24 hrs between layers) it can last 8-9 months. Even better than both is the more recent Graphene Flex Wax which I tested here: ruclips.net/video/b5BjDzItlr8/видео.htmlsi=yADE7ojYFqCAV181
It works perfectly after 24h. I just felt it was cool to see how both might perform without waiting 24h. It also shows how good Seal N Shine is right out of the bottle without any curing. And to be fair, Ceramic Spray Coating also resists chemicals right away without curing, the only thing that kills it oddly is washing it right away like I did in the video to remove residue between tests. So the shampoo is doing something. It’s always interesting to me to try off label use sometimes. Chemists learn a lot through these real world tests when some of us RUclipsrs try things they might not have expected.
im so excited for turtle wax high end ceramic spray. I love seal and shine on my black bmw, the gloss and durability is amazing. I even used it again yesterday so that way i have none left by the time Turtle Wax Ceramic gets shipped to me.

Testing is a process. So it takes times to test. Many cars, paints and kilemeters done in a normal usability of the car - then we can say all about the product. In this test we see that CERAMIC SPRAY COATING has a very poor durability on the chemicals and on 11:15 we see it died totally. In this particular test ICE is a winner.
You need to retest with the 24 hour cure time to see the true durability of the product. I'm a big fan of yours and this test was unfair. I use Seal N Shine, I really want to see a fair test.

This is really unfair Pan. I agree with most commenters here. Thanks Pan for the Vid. I have used seal and shine and I am pleased with the results. Does the seal and shine contain UV protection? In my area UV protection is very important. If seal and shine does not contain UV then i will move to the new ceramic spray.
No. Don't mix regular waxes with silica based coatings or sealants. After using Ceramic Spray Coating, you have one of three options to maintain the finish: 1) Use Turtle Wax Ceramic Wash N Wax shampoo during maintenance washes : amzn.to/2VswO8v 2) Use Turtle Wax Ceramic Wet Wax as a drying aid after your washed your car: amzn.to/3ihkzpa 3) Use Turtle Wax Ceramic 3-in-1 Detail Spray as a quick detailer : amzn.to/38fLTiM
TURTLE WAX ICE SEAL N SHINE leaves marks that are hard to buff, which is annoying. I have to use a mix of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle to get rid of them when buffing.
I'm using a lot of the Seal and Shine at my shop. I've tested it on my truck and must say I'm impressed with it's durability so I'll continue to use it as my go to spray sealant.
Love the seal and shine, but please do another and let it cure. Not really fair to the new product to do a comparison test without following the application directions of both in my opinion.
Hahahaha I pre ordered mines but have to cancel now. Didn’t they say the new ceramic spray would be better than seal and shine and it would be on steroids? 💪

Absolutely LOVE your videos ! After using the ceramic coat, is a waxing the next step--or is it not needed due to the ceramic protection? If waxing is needed, do I do it immediately or wait the 24 hour wash curing time? Thank you for the great work you do !
Great job doing this very informative videos about car care and they will help starting my new car detailing business 👍🏽
Not sure the point of this comparison if you weren’t going to do the 24hr cure on the turtle wax ceramic. It’s kind of unfair as it seemed predictable that the ceramic will fail against washing without the cure.
What car is that?
Hey pan quick question, should I out on a sealant and then put the seal and shine. Or is it possible to only use seal and shine have protection. Protection matters to me alot so, I feel like i can use a sealant first then apply seal and shine. Lemme know what you think!

Exactly!
I'm starting to think this product is not worth it. 24 hours and it's not too tier? The ice and shield is good for budget, but I would rather use something else that takes less time to cure and offers better results.
I totally agree

I do want to thank you for your time and hard work..

I’ll stick to Seal n Shine. Works great and super cheap.
Seal n Shine hands down. Jimbo did the torture test as well allowing the 24 hour curing time and same results...Seal n Shine held up better than the hybrid.

3rd 3/4 hybrid 1/4 spray wax.

Very bad idea
Obviously, not allowing the ceramic to cure, it was not really a fair test. It would be good to give it the 24 hours to see if its durability matches the seal n shine. Sorry, Pan, but this demands a do over.
psa110 i totally agree.. ☹️
I think it was cool to do it this way too even if it was not fair shows how fast one gives your results and shows difference between the 2.
Now with a second review applying both and 24+ hours later same steps repeated could show IF there is a difference at all after all they claim "curing" time is necessary.
So true, lets repeat this with following the recommended application.
psa110 I would agree, if a supposed ceramic product loses out to a wax product then IMO something is definitely wrong!

Yes to test claims and limits. Sometimes you learn a lot with off label use.
@@PanTheOrganizer Claim has just had a reality shock! TW should have known better!
Thanks for understanding the purpose of the video. 👍🏻. Yes after curing Ceramic Spray Coating is equal or better to Seal N Shine.
Seal & Shine still the best product.
Seal and shine for win If it ain’t broke don’t fix it
I like seal and shine cuz there is no 'curing' time.
Yea...it even holds on when its drizzling rain...believe me i found out...be happy with the 1st app.it sticks.
To be fair, why on earth did you not give the ceramic coating 24 hrs? Of course the ceramic lost...
To prove what happens when you don’t follow instructions.
i would love to see that Turtle Wax Hybrid ceramic being compared with Meguair's Hybrid Ceramic wax too.
Altruistic I would love to see that too !!
Seal and shine for the win lol
*too bad there's not an UP TO DATE video of this...*
*Seeing as there a NEW FORMULA for the Seal n Shine.*
I made a video for the updated SNS here: ruclips.net/video/49DtbUBHMpg/видео.htmlsi=TrxMMujxvGVWHmbw
Pan you should of waited 24hrs for test to be fair. Need a stand alone test now sorry
It just shows that for the average man like myself and who doesn't have a garage, that hybrid sealant (seal and shine) is the best option.
im so excited for turtle wax high end ceramic spray. I love seal and shine on my black bmw, the gloss and durability is amazing. I even used it again yesterday so that way i have none left by the time Turtle Wax Ceramic gets shipped to me.
I think a lot of people are missing the point that there is no actual 'cure' required for either product, simply advises against washing within 24 hours! This is an excellent real world test. High-quality content put out in such a timely manner as always. Thanks, Pan. Keep killing it!
Yeah, it's clear that TW is misrepresenting the truth and should have tipped Pan off about it!
Thanks Paul. You fully understood the purpose of this video! 👍🏻
Waste of time if one product needs 24 hours curing time Pan.
Why so mad ray
@@cristianguerra78 What makes you think I was mad? Just making a comment on the products.
Hey bud please do another test with the 24 hour curing time so we can see if that dose make a difference love your videos many thanks for your time
After a full curing time, Ceramic Spray Coating does offer relatively the same chemical resistance as Seal N Shine.
Ceramic needed to be cured. I had 3 ordered on amazon but I just canceled them

Cool thanks for the clarification!! Il re order 🤘🤘🤘. Also pretty cool you actually respond to your viewers
@@caseywilson3302 My pleasure Casey. It seems viewers didn't fully understand my message here.. Ceramic Spray Coating is still freaking amazing! I even prefer it to Seal N Shine. When it's fully cured, it's as resistant chemically so no worries there. And yes I take my channel very seriously and I always try to interact with my viewers, even as I'm getting close to 400K subscribers. It's not easy keeping up with everyone, but I try my best!
@@PanTheOrganizer thanks
Hi Pan, I purchased the Ceramic spray coating and spent time to apply it on my SUV. Was a lot of work, but well worth it. The car's body has never shined this much. Thanks for your video for the inspiration. Here in South Africa we get Turtle wax products from Europe and the prices are good. So glad it is not over expensive.
Thanks for the feedback Synth! Cheers from Canada! What’s your favourite video on my channel so far by the way?
Kind of wish the new ceramic spray had cured for 24 hrs as would of made it a fairer test. Think I’m leaning more towards the ice after seeing this though
I think every car waxes / sealant need 24 Hours of cure.
But the ice seal n shine durability really impressive.

Just ordered the Ceramic spray. Love listening to all the reviews. My guess is you wash your car then apply. You can drive in in the rain, snow and heat but just don't wash it for 24 hours. If people can't wait 24 hours to wash your car again then maybe you need to get a life!!!!! Great video as always. 30 years of detailing and love how it has evolved to making it easier each time to maintain your car...
Exactly John. You fully understood. You will love Ceramic Spray Coating, just as much as I did in my official review video. :)
Love the video exactly the question I asked myself. I do hope they don’t change the formula of the ice range to make hybrid look better. May buy loads of bottle just in case. One thing I would appreciate you looking into (John said he might do it but it’s not on his channel yet) is why does the ice range smear particularly on glass
Conclusive proof that following the product instructions makes a comparison video worth watching.
Exactly Stuart! Thank you! I don’t understand why many comments were negative in this video... I purposefully did not wait 24h to prove a point. You clearly understood that.

The least you could have done is to frame the video as « here is why it’s important to read the instructions » and compare maybe the Ceramic with curing vs no curing. This test is completely worthless when you acknowledge yourself it needed to cure before washing.

@@PanTheOrganizer I hear you Pan, and I think it's a valid kind of test too, but I wish you had taken the time, right off the bat, to say you will NOT follow the instructions to "mimick real world usage" and at least mention it in the title. I'm sure you saw Jimbo's video where he compares 48h curing, S&S and Ceramic with no curing. This seems much more informative and less disingenuous. Really Just my 2cents there and judging by all the comments and the number of times you had to explain the purprose of this video, it could probably have been better conveyed. hi pan , good test but I think leave for 24hrs then see what happens but looks like seal & shine wins with beading. I use meguiars ultimate quick wax very good beading seems to last longer than sealant hydrophobic wax im from the uk. whats the best alloy wheel cleaner to use ? . my Mercedes e220 amg line w213 has been done with diamond bright which is not that good to be fair if you have heard of diamondbright in the uk.
Hey Pan just bought the Seal and Shine here in Ontario for $14. Just found out there's an improved formula agghh. I did have some streaking.I have all kinds of products...Adams...Chemical guys....Last Coat 2. I still fibd the Adams Ceramic Spray my favourite. Looking at the Adams Graphene Ceramic coating...Ive seen mixed rviews in durablity..what are you thoughts. Thanks.
You should change the title of this video to "What happens if you don't follow directions". The title suggests that you are putting one product up against the other but that really isn't accurate. If you're not careful the Turtle Wax people are going to send you a bill for that free flight to Arizona!
Tried the hybrid ceramic last week before a road trip. More difficult to remove (buff) than Seal N Shine, really had a hard time. I prefer the easy and cheap way and will buy a new bottle of SNS, lost 40 CAD....Who wants a free bottle of Hybrid Ceramic in MTL ?
Thanks Pan for the Vid. I have used seal and shine and I am pleased with the results. Does the seal and shine contain UV protection? In my area UV protection is very important. If seal and shine does not contain UV then i will move to the new ceramic spray.
Wanted to know this Pan
Thanks Pan, great vid. Can/Should I still wax my car after using this ceramic coating?
No. Don't mix regular waxes with silica based coatings or sealants. After using Ceramic Spray Coating, you have one of three options to maintain the finish:
1) Use Turtle Wax Ceramic Wash N Wax shampoo during maintenance washes : amzn.to/2VswO8v
2) Use Turtle Wax Ceramic Wet Wax as a drying aid after your washed your car: amzn.to/3ihkzpa
3) Use Turtle Wax Ceramic 3-in-1 Detail Spray as a quick detailer : amzn.to/38fLTiM
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks a lot for the tip. Do you reckon Turtle Wax Wax It Wet works?
Give that to seal and shine. I just picked up the first seal and shine that they had out and that works awesome.
