Finally a well made Chipp combo video. Having a slow version of the combo, before having the regular speed really helps in case you're making a mistake, and need to pay attention to each specific hit. Thanks for the video.

Plus I love the idea if introducing a new simple combo, then showing some extensions into longer combos, but then going back to another shorter combo to start a new combo path (where as most tutorials just do a linear progression of difficulty). Brilliant!

While labbing some of these, I've come across a really nice combo! (see 3:55 for reference) Instead of landing and doing far slash, air dash right after the jumping K connects and use jumping HS! The timing is pretty tight c.S, 2S, 2HS, 214K, j.K (airdash) j.HS let me know if it helps :)
What I discovered here, is that after the diagonal AB, instead of j.K you can do j.S to downwards diagonal AB. Looks pretty cool in a match, and when done near the corner, the whole combo causes wall stick, so you can finish off with OD if you so desire :) EDIT: Actually, looks like that was a one-time occurence with a specific distance from the wall, usually the last AB will cause a wall break because it hits twice (towards the wall, and then away from the wall)
finally a beginner combo video that's actually for beginners. i just started playing guilty gear and Chipp looks super fun so this was super helpful, thanks!

I guess the game has changed. The combo at 0:51 no longer works. You can't chain from sweep into the next move like that, sweep's recovery takes way longer than what's displayed here.
This is beautiful, and the way King of Fighters should have looked. It is also definitely how I'd want the game, of the comic I am working on to look like. Though the first game would play more like Castlevania Symphony of the Night, and Metroid.. The second game would play more like Guardian Heroes. Though there are many great fighters, with the big classics being Street Fighter, (SNK fighters), Soul Calibur.. Guilty Gear, when I had first seen it, became my most favorite of all time. The world to me looked like the world I had seen, and somewhat drew as a kid in my little comics, come to life (which were influenced by Heavy Metal, Battle Angel Alita, and Bastard. As well as music from Fear Factory, and games like Dark Savior, movies like Blade Runner, Terminator, and Universal Soldier), and oh man the music did it even more. I remember being so damn excited, I nearly passed out lol When my friend who started working with me on the whole project, was killed by a drunk driver in 2010, I basically completely left the project alone, became more depressed about 3 years later, when a close friend was killed in Iraq, even stopped drawing. Recently after an interesting time in the hospital, and coming out of that. I want to finish the project. I had decided to put both of them in the game/comic. I had used Final Fantasy XV, to make the main character, which actually made doing his designs in 2D easier.. It was pretty cool, and weird seeing the character I created when I was 15 like that lol.

So new to GG, Do I just have to input combos ridiculously fast or am I doing something wrong cuz I can't consitantly land the last hit of the first punch combo, Even tho I play Fighting games pretty often, Is the window in GG just super small?
normally you imput the normals fast, when the normal string is done, you imput the special moves remember to roman cancel quickly after you see the move hit and the rest will work itself out
I'm having trouble hitting people with Chipp's 236K after a 2S or 2H, like I input it almost immediately but it never connects. Is there a specific timing I need to get the hang of or am I just not inputting fast enough?
Im new too, i also want to main chipp and i heard that it is hard,but just play with the character that is mote appealing to you, dont care about tier list and difficulty imo
It would be a good idea i think to put some sort of indicator on screen to show if combo only works with a counter hit starter, nice vids though very helpful

3:12 ending combo that way is horrible damage. substitute it with 6Hs or just finish the rekka with 236K edit: I actually fixed a lot of enders to the video, but forgot to actually post it. the combos are pretty good and practical, just use common sense to fix the enders of these combos. Usually ends up being a rekka finish or a simple 6Hs
@@Lynx21k number pad notation. Look at the number pad on your computer and you’ll notice that 5 would be neutral, 6 is forward, 4 is backwards, 2 is down, ect
I genuinely don't understand how you move so fast sometimes. I got messed up on like the 3rd combo, where while trying to do the inputs as fast as possible It just doesn't do it fast enough to combo
Muscle memory work on doing combos in pieces and you naturally develop ability to combo like him. When he is doing the combo he isnt consciously thinking about it considering he knows most of the starters for his combos are the same
anyone else have some troubles trying the 1:26 combo? because i really can't do el animation cancael after the 6hs to do the 2s and the rest of the combo, idk if i;m really slow or something

Thats what makes him fun. Its like playing with Dan in older SF games. You need to work super fucking hard to win. But when you win yoy know you fucking earned it. Its a fucking flex to do well with Chip.
guys, chipp main here. I just need to heal from time to time. Getting blown up everytime something boops you on the nose is hard. But i totally get the flex after you win thing

A 21-hit full meter combo that doesn't even take away half the opponent's health is so unfortunate for Chipp :-(

Yeah you have to go into training settings et then in the opponent settings you'll see counter under the AI's level, set it to forced, there you go
