3:33 spamming fukyo after clone seems high risk low reward, as the enemy can still spam 5p for exemple and break the command grab, leaving you with a lot of blood and often pop When I try to do this in game, like multiple fukyos, I always get punished for that, I asked someone who I think is a pretty good player, and he told me I shouldn't do more than 1 fukyo after clone because it's useless (the enemy will have time to recover from the clone and punish you)
@@Lopuzal yeh your not supposed to use this full screen and then command grab for that reason. I find that closing the gap from a further distance is fine when you go for a CS or another poke tool but if you are looking for command grab specifically, start this from 1-2 fukyo away. It’s all about spacing urself that correct distance for what you want to follow this string up with. Hope this helps
newbie here. with Nago, other than using my blue burst, when I'm facing an enemy with fast attacks and they've pushed me to the edge of the screen, how do I fight back? what are my options?
Yeh being in the corner as nago is pain. You can yellow Roman cancel which is when someone hits you, you press any three attack buttons and it gets them off you and makes it your turn. In terms of moves. I like to use 2K to poke because it’s quick and low. So you can go 2K,2D,623h for wasureyuki which can start a combo from the corner.
No you cannot. Even if you theoretically could, it would be useless since grabs can't be combo'd into. You might be thinking of shizuryuki, which shares the same 623 motion. This can be useful to hit after beyblade for follow ups or just straight up more damage
assuming you're on a dpad, roll or slide your thumb quickly from the forward button to the down button and back. it takes a long time before it's muscle memory! but you just gotta keep doing it. 100% you can do it. search "How to use a D pad Controller - Fighting Game" from JoyStickNY, he has a great demonstration of it.
I really like nago because you can either become a mashing meathead until your blood gauge stops you or be the most technical player in the lobby masterfully stretching combos using ALL of your resources and they both work (gotta be carefull with that last one, real dangerous if it goes wrong). Playng like a well behaved person doesn't work? Just become an ape and mash quarters and buttons
I've been trying this combo and I'm usually unable to land the 2nd f.s (cs, fs, fs, 214h, 623h, 236k, cs, and then the fs misses here). Is there something I'm missing? Or is it just tightening up the timing?
Hi! maybe I'm a bit late but I'm having some trouble landing the first combo (follow up stage) I can do it up to the 63236h but then I can't land the 5k after the 236k, is it because I'm doing it too slow? also, thanks for the video, as a new player it's been really useful! Edit: nvm, I was able to land it right after I asked, I was doing it too slow 😅
A few quick corrections that I noticed in your notation for some of the strings (im relatively new to this game so let me know if this is wrong): 1) nago doesnt have a 6s, instead he only has 5s. That means the rekja combo is 5s->5s->5s, although 6s also works. It even works with a back input(4s), but there is no reason to do that one. Doing 5s instead if 6s can make follow up inputs easier depending on what you're following up with (namely fukyo and beyblade) 2) the dp input for bloodsucking universe and shizuriyuki is not 63236p and 63236h respectively, but they are instead just 623p and 623h, again respectively. You can get away with doing 6323 which can make the input easier but the 6 at the end is unnecessary and can make follow ups harder. 3) you said Nago's normal overdrive is both half circle forwards(41236s), and half circle back flick forward(632146s) at different points in the video. Just for clarification, it is 632146s. This input is shared with the blood overdrive, the only change being that is uses heavy slash instead of slash. Other than these few notation errors great vid. Also i know that i sound like a massive nerd here but i want to make sure people dont get confused by this video due to a small error
You could just say forwarded back down-back etc and not use confusing numbers which in games like Tekken are used for attack buttons and so in fact cannot be universally understood. You could just speak English so it is understood by everyone instead of numpad but hey be a pretentious expert. Why not. Who cares if it is actual easy to understand. Uncles your using a number pad this system is more complicated check it out, a Phoenix smashed in Tekken is performed by pressing d,df,f or qcf rp or qcf 2. See how you can use English and still shorten inputs, plus neutral is just N not 5 which is f ing confusing. As in Not an input or No input N. Not anymore difficult to write inputs or communicate. It’s just to sound like you play gg not to make things easier. Don’t lie to yourself. You could say push forward to go forward and back to go back with Fukiyo instead of intentionally avoiding obvious English. No just say press the direction you want to go so you don’t have to admit forward goes forward and that your number system actually makes everything more complicated. Ok never mind. Don’t want to take way the nerd points from a GG player.
Yo, here's some information so you can learn. Do a bit of reading on this www.dustloop.com/w/Notation Every fighting game uses numpad notation Its a universal way of explaining how to input a move across any controller that keeps it short and concise. Works the same way as the letter, but just uses numbers instead... D=2 DF=3 F=6 etc. Some people understand 3 better than FD yk? Also the difference between 5 and N is really not that difficult to grasp. They are both one character long... GG normally uses the Numerical system Tekken normally uses the alphabetical system Its awesome if you can learn both. 00:20 into the video there is a small section explaining the numerical numpad notation system. I'd recommend watching it again. Hope this helps. Spend some more time learning and you will become better
It really is universal,.I come from several fighters like mortal Kombat, injustice and dragon ball fighterz, and all of them use this form of numpad notation, it's Tekken really that's the odd one out Either way it's alot better for throwing up combos on screen and it's just a more efficient way of communicating, like texting abbreviations or how you would use standard form in maths to express big numbers

3:33 spamming fukyo after clone seems high risk low reward, as the enemy can still spam 5p for exemple and break the command grab, leaving you with a lot of blood and often pop
When I try to do this in game, like multiple fukyos, I always get punished for that, I asked someone who I think is a pretty good player, and he told me I shouldn't do more than 1 fukyo after clone because it's useless (the enemy will have time to recover from the clone and punish you)
@@Lopuzal yeh your not supposed to use this full screen and then command grab for that reason. I find that closing the gap from a further distance is fine when you go for a CS or another poke tool but if you are looking for command grab specifically, start this from 1-2 fukyo away. It’s all about spacing urself that correct distance for what you want to follow this string up with. Hope this helps
Wait, you can hold fukyo???
Fr tho
Dude what a revelation! You can literally just press 4 and 6 back and forth and see him zoom!
Not only that, you can do clone>hold6+k to fukyo behind the clone instead of doing both movements... Didn't know that that's way easier
@@seess8251 that's probably just the input reader being generous
236S~K is how you represent that in Anime Notation
newbie here. with Nago, other than using my blue burst, when I'm facing an enemy with fast attacks and they've pushed me to the edge of the screen, how do I fight back? what are my options?
Yeh being in the corner as nago is pain.
You can yellow Roman cancel which is when someone hits you, you press any three attack buttons and it gets them off you and makes it your turn.
In terms of moves. I like to use 2K to poke because it’s quick and low.
So you can go 2K,2D,623h for wasureyuki which can start a combo from the corner.
great vid
I might be wrong or just bad but I don’t believe I can’t cancel from bayblade to bloodsucking universe?
No you cannot. Even if you theoretically could, it would be useless since grabs can't be combo'd into. You might be thinking of shizuryuki, which shares the same 623 motion. This can be useful to hit after beyblade for follow ups or just straight up more damage
as a new player i dontunderstand the number like 236 k or something what is that what does the number mean?
he explained at the begin to imagine ur joystick as numbers and even showed what are the positions of each number
4:41 can grab after whirl, 4:49, 5:51
Some times it doesn’t land for me
Need a season 4 one please
is 3:30 possible anymore?
yes i also had this problem you can try basicly pressing them at exatcly the same moment
Which song is in the background?
Bit late but its probably crawl, sounds like the instrumental tho
So, am I missing something with the command grab, or did it change recently? Or is that just how the 623 is actually done?
some characters such as sol, may, and nago have their command grab tied to the dp or 623 input, think it’s always been that way for him
Do you have any tips to do the dragon punch / shizuriyuki movement
assuming you're on a dpad, roll or slide your thumb quickly from the forward button to the down button and back. it takes a long time before it's muscle memory! but you just gotta keep doing it. 100% you can do it.
search "How to use a D pad Controller - Fighting Game" from JoyStickNY, he has a great demonstration of it.
what i normaly do for dragon punch is 6323 then press the button. but im new at the game so i dont know much
I really like nago because you can either become a mashing meathead until your blood gauge stops you or be the most technical player in the lobby masterfully stretching combos using ALL of your resources and they both work (gotta be carefull with that last one, real dangerous if it goes wrong). Playng like a well behaved person doesn't work? Just become an ape and mash quarters and buttons
At present, I’m basically a mashing monkey. But, I am learning to rely less on that and work on my skills.
Does this still work?
BIG VID SEE YOU ON CELESTIAL
I've been trying this combo and I'm usually unable to land the 2nd f.s (cs, fs, fs, 214h, 623h, 236k, cs, and then the fs misses here). Is there something I'm missing? Or is it just tightening up the timing?
After the c.s wait like half a second and then press s again for the f.s. You have to wait rather than try and do it as quick as possible
Hi! maybe I'm a bit late but I'm having some trouble landing the first combo (follow up stage) I can do it up to the 63236h but then I can't land the 5k after the 236k, is it because I'm doing it too slow? also, thanks for the video, as a new player it's been really useful!
Edit: nvm, I was able to land it right after I asked, I was doing it too slow 😅
Haha, yeh u have to be quick with it. I’m glad it helped :))
Just to be clear, you don't need to do a full 63236h, you only need to do 623, but 6323 is very common and also works. It can make follow ups easier
shizuriyuki > Kamuriyuki > Shizuriyuki > Kamuriyuki
DPs are only 623 not 6236
🤩👏🏼
i cant do command grab
Do a Z then punch 😂
Basically forward then do a fire ball then press punch
gold
"for new players"
bro i lose all hope in myself when i see that and realise my own incompitence and lack of patience
u gotta keep up the grind, it'll click after some practice. Good luck, u got this :))
@@BLANK_OW_ I kept up the grind!
I'm surpriced by how fast i've learned in just about 100 hours of playing the game and going on dustloop
@@SebastianPanteon huge. Well done man :))
Do a bit of reading on this
www.dustloop.com/w/Notation
Every fighting game uses numpad notation
Its a universal way of explaining how to input a move across any controller that keeps it short and concise. Works the same way as the letter, but just uses numbers instead... D=2 DF=3 F=6 etc. Some people understand 3 better than FD yk? Also the difference between 5 and N is really not that difficult to grasp. They are both one character long...
GG normally uses the Numerical system
Tekken normally uses the alphabetical system
Its awesome if you can learn both.
00:20 into the video there is a small section explaining the numerical numpad notation system. I'd recommend watching it again.
Hope this helps. Spend some more time learning and you will become better
It really is universal,.I come from several fighters like mortal Kombat, injustice and dragon ball fighterz, and all of them use this form of numpad notation, it's Tekken really that's the odd one out
Either way it's alot better for throwing up combos on screen and it's just a more efficient way of communicating, like texting abbreviations or how you would use standard form in maths to express big numbers
whats the music on backround? would like to listen to it while practicing your combos
