The female singer is Lisa Edwards, she’s been a friend and back up singer for a long time to Farnsey. Thanks for the reaction. You should check out John Farnham singing a duet with the late Olivia Newtown John “please don’t ask me” live main event 1998
Thanks for reacting to John, he does indeed have a great voice! So much more to see of him - people love this one, I don't mind it, but there are definitely performances that show what he can do far better. Hope to see you do some more :) A couple of suggestions to get you started - 'Help!' with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, "You're The Voice" with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, "Playing To Win" from chain reaction concert.
There is no 's' at the end of Lindsay's name, it's just 'Field'. Plus it's Venetta. Both amazing backup singers and incredible in their own right. I fully agree Amazing Grace is extremely good.
WELCOME from AUSTRALIA. If you want a more uptempo live performance of JOHN FARNHAMS must review a song called " IN YOUR HANDS". Insane drums and guitar work.If you YOU TUBE search the following you will find it. John gives 110% of himself and his positive energy infectious. YOU TUBE SEARCH >>>>. John Farnham - In Your Hands (High Quality)
He can be a really funny fella. always trying to get Lisa to loose it. But shes a pro and knkws his little tricks ...haha btw Farnham was active at least 5 or 6 years before Steve Perry, even though they are the same age. Farnham started out at 16 and had his first number 1 hit at 18. So if anything you might say, Perry sounded a bit like Farnham. But I personally don't think they sound very alike anyway. Other than that they both have powerful voices. John has way more range, texture and agility. A better comparison would be to Robert Plant
Lisa Edwards has been with him sonce the beginning i think. She also had her own career before and during joining The John Farnham Band. She is amazingly powerful and keeps up with him easily as can be seen in this song. Lisa Edwards, Venetta Fields and Lindsey Field (no relation) are all legends in their own right and John has mafe sure they all have shared the spotlight.
Please stop talking through the actual singing. If you must comment during the performance, please wait until the music breaks. I appreciate that you enjoyed the performance, but I think that you would have enjoyed it more if had heard every word.
Thanks for the critique. We’ve tried all sorts of different ways to do our reactions. We’ve learned (the hard way) that we can’t make everyone happy so we’ve decided it’s best, and the most fun for us, when we’re just being ourselves. We understand that’s not for everyone. You haven't heard John until you've heard him sing "Help" live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Put simply, the best live vocal ever performed.
Thank you for your suggestion!
Agree Help live with the Melbourne symphony orchestra is one of the best vocal performances ever you have to check it out …..please ❤
Thank🙏you for this suggestion!
Also Gethsemane and a few others.
Lisa is one of his long term backup singers. John always acknowledges his musos and backup.
True gentleman
That’s fantastic. Good man!

Oh wow! I bet that’s wonderful
@@neighborsue yeah it’s phenomenal.
Added to our list! Thank you!
Thank you!
I love this version of the song. A simple arrangement and the muted trumpet is the chefs kiss.
Chef’s kiss what a great expression!
John's voice is unique. I can't think of anyone who sounds like him.
You forgot one of his former band members (as well as his own band and solo), Irwin Thomas/Jack Jones. He had quite a similar tone to John.

Thank you for the insight and suggestions!
He does amazing grace with other back up singers venetta fields and Lindsay fields
Thank you for this suggestion! We’ll add it to our list. We’re enjoying his music and the positive vibes he radiates
@@secondhandreactions all good many songs to listern to from him with others as well
Yep, that's beautiful. Also, his Carols by Candlelight performance of Mary's Boy Child and You'll Never Walk Alone, with Lisa, Lindsay and Venetta.
Greatest singer ever, John Farnham. He can and did sing anything.
Enjoying his music
Beautiful song, I love this one.. especially with the fooling around at the start 😂❤
Silly stuff 😁❤
See how strong his voice is as he has to lower his mike so John doesn’t over power her voice.
Powerful with control, just outstanding
The attachment of the trumpet is called a mute
Lisa Edwards is one of John’s backing singers.
Very talented!
Have a look at Amazing Grace sung with two other backing singers Vannetta Fields and Lindsay Fields. You'll love it!

Love his duets, especially my favourite is the One with Olivia Newton Jon- Please Don’t Ask Me, the chemistry is 🔥 in that One.
Sounds great! A couple folks suggesting this one - we’ll add it to our list
She was wonderful too!!!
Aussie legends ❤

Ahhh - so the humor was him trying to get Lisa to break! That’s hysterical!!! He seems like such a good guy
Look for his black Dog sound check, no video, a techie pushed a button, and we can all hear that, so good.
He has a fantastic character!!!
There is a clip around, where she does it to him, and he is laughing so hard he can't sing.@@secondhandreactions
