In my opinion it is not cool you had to restart your series because it was already good. But this one is looking good.

Honestly, love this series. And hope to see Bowser fleshed out more in this than in the games. We're told a number of times about Bowser's magical talents, like when he cursed the toads into bricks or when he revives himself. Heck, in the Mario & Luigi games, he had a circle of fire magic summoned above his hands for a minion assisted attack. And in his Skylanders variant, though technically empowered by a Rift Engine magically bonded to him, he was able to user greater fire and summoning magics. And that doesn't even cover the number of magical artifacts he's gained and wielded over the years, like that champion belt thing in one of the mario parties.
Despite all that magical prowess, he typically rarely shows it.
He's shown in some games, like Bowser's Inside Story, he is actually a natural genius strategist at times. He's just a bit too reckless, foolhardy, and upfront. He just prefers fighting in non-deceptive battles. Power. That's what his strategies focus on. But that's just it. He's not as big of an idiot as he's often made out to be. He's dang brilliant when he wants to be, even if he's not the type to use lying type strategies, and a bit foolhardy to the point of not thinking up back-up plans due to his pride.
Though, his view of 'not-deceptive' is also kind of a hindsight thing. Could see him holding back his forces and consider it as 'waiting to strike at the right moment' and not viewing it as it really is: 'not letting his opponent know the full scale of his forces'. Or view 'leading opponent into a trap' as 'sending an extra attack when his foe is distracted'. He may be straightforward, but there's always the matter of perspective.
Though, that's just how I see things. I do hope to see more of Bowser's potential in this, in a series not limited by the games. But, that's just my personal hope.^^ In either case, I am loving how you're characterizing the characters in this so far. Fits them so dang well, and nice choice on the announcer. Very fitting.

Bowser has always been one of my favorite fictional characters of all time, as I spent a lot of time as a kid playing Bowser's Inside Story and in general just a lot of Mario. It's really nice to see someone who has as much enthusiasm for the character as I do!
@@gtbruhmoment4220 It's just a shame that the creators themselves often forget aspects of Bowser's from some of the games, aspects that could be further explored. Like, for example, how in Mario RPG, he could not only use drill claws, but could also wield his own minions in his hands as weapons.
@@joshuana5132 He can totally do way more than what they let him do nowadays, but it is what it is. We'll just have to hope he gets more exploration in time!
Bowser is actually a genius
He’s devised successful plans of invading even worlds, he made the galaxy generator, he even claims to have an IQ of 9800
He lacks common sense and he’s short-tempered, but he’s still definitely smart

Smashinity must've took inspirations from Sonic X, with which minion to use to destroy his foes and use Bowser to hold card with his own minions like peety piranha, big bully, giant goomba, etc.

This Wario and Waluigi fight scene is way more satisfying even if Wario and Waluigi lost. They still put up a good fight and made Mario and Luigi work for the win.
I always hated how Luigi basically broke the rules in Mark's version. This loss feels way more legitimate.
I also really really adore how this acknowledges not only Wario's speed but also his rolling attack.

Not speaking badly about the video(it looks incredible btw), but I wonder if this "Super Mario Bros Z feelings series" will get a full season with a finale, etc. I'm a little tired of seeing lots of people who make sprite animations doing those type of series and watching the similar beginning over and over again...
@Teetune 07 i think the problem is that theres no episodes continuing or ending the series. Like watching an anime, stop in the middle ajd restarting over and over without seeing the ending
Smasher's was actually getting episodes out but some people said he copy others still don't think he did when he livestreamed before showing the work but whatever. Just glad the series is back
i certainly hope he finishes this it would put my faith back in sprite animators.

Both dialogue and animations were identical in many places back then.
As for _this_ attempt, well.. I noticed a few similar dialogues still hanging around
(and several typos). As for the animations, I'll leave that to more knowledgeable people.
And I'm tired to see Sonic and Mario with the same goal of get the chaos emeralds and fight Metal Sonic. Like how about to use the others Nintendo characters (or Capcom, Namco and others one) instead to always use the Sonic characters? That begin to be bored to see the same thing again and again...

After watching this now I know why I got an sudden power boost.
A fantastic introduction Smashinity to what is definitely turning out to be one unique, sprite series.
With this one episode, it sets up so much and had me hyped for more, Mecha Sonic obviously being the ultimate evil, looking for his gems of Unlimted power. Bowser seeks to settle the status quo(with a possible new power), and Mario and his friends are the only ones who can save the day...again. I really hope this comment explains how much I really enjoyed this video as well as the overall series so far as a whole looking forward to Blast from the past.

I know this is 2 years old but this was awesome, I can't wait to see more of this and glad I found it, the animation is clean, the story seems to have a lot of potential, and that ending was so nice using the M&L sprites along with the classic sonic ones, definitely will keep watching the series.

It's always nice to come back and watch these animations, and I have to say, I love your Super Mario Bros. DX series. I honestly find this more fulfilling to watch than Alvin's if only from a story perspective. You including more of the Sonic Cast into this universe opens up a lot more ways to tell the story. Well, I guess the subplot with Fawful giving people gems that make them more powerful is kind of like what Phantom does with the Spirits, but that kind of set-up could be applicable to any magical girl anime if you think about it.

Just looking at the opening credits, I am intrigued: a spiritual successor to Super Mario Bros Z? One that replaces Shadow, whom I never really liked, with Sonic's most iconic partners of Tails and Knuckles? A hint that other Sonic characters either survived Metal Sonic's rampage or will be brought back over the series? Oh, yes, color me interested!

Funny that in the Super Mario Bros Z stories Mecha Sonic is the upgraded version of Metal Sonic since its kind of the opposite in the video games.
