Not to be that guy, but this is just the scene in Mario bros the legendary warrior where Mario is slammed to the ground. Only difference is that it’s sprites instead of hand drawn. Complete with Mario’s pupils disappearing when he gets slammed on his chest.

I actually never thought someone would use DBD sound effects outside of the game for anything, much more a sprite animation. The Jigsaw Box fail for Bowser Jr.’s toys, Oni’s growl for Bowser’s Oni form (yeah I caught that). Can’t wait to see what the rest of this series has in store!

Just some food for thought, personally I would've made the crystal bowser used a Chaos Emerald instead, since he found it presumably after the Emeralds had been transported to the Mushroom Kingdom. Good execution though man! Really loving the direction you're taking this time around.😁

Words cannot describe how absolutely epic and good this episode was. I loved the comedy (especially the Luigi scream) and the Mario/Super Star Mario vs Oni Bowser fight was amazing! The Yoshi and Luigi vs jr fight was epic as well. 10/10. Cant wait for the next episode. This was worth the wait.
He made a mistake in one of the dialogue’s. When Bowser said “But now it’s time for to defeat you!” I think it was meant to say “But now it’s time for me to defeat you
This was so awesome, the Oni Bowser form was pretty cool, and the fight was intense from start to finish

Another wonderful, episode to the series, Smashinity this episode is what got me sold on this series. I really loved the amount of work you put into this episode! The highlights for me really were the fights, as the brawl between Mario and Bowser really felt like it had more weight and meaning behind it. Mario's fighting to save the princess, and stop his nemesis but, Bowser's fighting to literally end their feud right here and now! No matter what, then we have the Oni and Super Star forms, Oni felt like a rageing beast that had been caged up for too long, which in all honesty you made feel more believable. Finally, Sonic and tail's introduction as well as Mecha sonic continuing his search for the McGuffin gems really lets us know there's a looming threat and I loved it :)
Dude, you have outdone yourself. This episode was filled to the brim with action. I also like how both Mario and Bowser legit go super saiyan. Awesome job. Keep up the great work. I can't wait for episode 3.

This is amazing mate, I started watching now, couldn't catch to the beginning of the premiere but what matters is that we all watching and even more that you acomplished this and I want to say congrats. I don't know what's exactly your dream but if it is animation, we all start somewhere and we improve little by little, and we keep improving if we put the hard work in it, this is well worth the wait, don't let those one that rush get in your head, because is better to have more time and do something well done, take your time. so again I want to say congrats

I guess, for Mario's new form, I guess it may be a side-effect from using so many power-ups all the time? Maybe crafted as after-effects left-behind, eventually culminating into this? At least, that's the only explanation I can think of for that, epic as it was.
I figured it was Mario taping into the star inside him. He IS one of the seven star children after all.
@@HeroTen10 ...that is also a fair point. We were never clarified whether that title was literal or prophetical in nature, so that's also a possibility. But, that means he's not the only one with that potential. And... wasn't Bowser also one? Not sure I recall right.
@@joshuana5132 Yup, Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, Wario, and DK were the star children. I always figured this was why these characters seemed to be so much stronger than normal people.
Bowser, I assumed, was most in touch with the power which is why he could do crazy things like becoming a galactic conqueror. Peach's odd abilities also probably stem from this.

That could possibly mean Peach, Bowser, DK and Wario probably have Superstar Forms as well.
Yo when Oni Bowser started giving Mario the Broly treatment i could not stop laughing, the animation is so crisp. I had so much fun watching this

I just found this series and it has the most "Screw it, I'll make one myself" vibe I have ever seen, and yeah I'm here for it. Can't wait to see where this goes.
This is a really good product, it's pleasing for the eyes, but if I may say, I think there is a power scaling problem here. By that I mean that the powers, the fights, the abilities being unlocked feel really OP, and you're just at the second episode. Assuming that Mecha sonic is way more powerful that the main cast, Bowser included, it would mean that his abilties are gonna be even more insane. One of the things that made the original Super Mario Bros Z so interesting is how the powers and combat levels were balanced, a cast that evolved bit by bit, with an ultimate power that both sides were longing for which were the 7 chaos emeralds, and that was the limit, that something to walk towards. Here with your work, in my humble opinion, you're setting the bar too high already, with abilities and fighting skills already way too complicated. Aside from this opinion of mine, I find your work really valid, congratulations on the second episode
I agree this episode was cool and all but all these powers this early is going to now make him work harder in order to surpass Oni Bowser and Super Star Mario in forms abilities and fight scenes
thankfully neither of them were given as actual stable powerups so it can easily be dialed back and have many fights without that high of a bar. In fact, that was done in this very episode, as the final beatdown was in their base forms and still managed to do something quite intricate with it.

At least the RUclips algorithm worked well, this was in my recommendations for one week straight, and that's why I ended up seeing this and I'm already loving this! I saw SMBGT first and I was confused with this because the story was almost the same, then I realized you also made that one lol.
I liked this chapter so much! I was terrified because it seemed to end everytime, but I'm glad it didn't! The animation is so sick and you are doing a pretty good story, keep it up, dude! Take all the time you need!
So the episode is pretty good, my only issue is that the grammar is off in places. It's not that big of an issue, but it does get distracting at times, like when Eldstar is trying to explain why Mario's going Super Star at 23:03, and he says "He feels the sadness and anger of largest ever.", but it doesn't really make sense in context. Is he talking about Mario's sadness and anger, the world's sadness and anger? It just seems like the dialogue could be touched up in places.
Other than that, I thought it was pretty good.
