I absolutely love the detail that the Koopa Bros use each of the Ninja Turtles' Voice Clips from 'TMNT Smash Up'. Black being Raph, Yellow being Mikey, Red being Leo, and Green being Donnie.

The Knuckles vs Black segment was my favorite part of the fight.
It was like the gamma 2 vs orange piccolo for what they did
Black there is like TMNT's Raphael, but it's a pretty good detail that the team's heavy hitters are squaring up 😆

Man, Sprite animations get me so pumped up before a fight scene happens. It reminds me how much I enjoyed watching Battle of Sprites 1-3.

GODDAMN! I never thought we see Shadow’s intentions on why he would go get help from Fawful on getting the Emeralds and his anger towards Sonic. You have definitely gotten me more invested
Yeah, it's actually a pretty solid motivation. He feels guilt because his recklessness lead to him indirectly killing Rouge, then he had to put down Omega or else he'd do even more damage. He wants revenge on Metal Sonic for his power boost leading to Omega's corruption, and feels anger at Sonic for his recklessness leading to Metal Sonic's power boost.
It might be kinda edgy, but it makes sense why he's doing what he's currently doing.

Episode 6 looks like it will be a more chill episode compared to 5 and thats alright, can't wait for it.

@hassanediallo2822 I'm not entirely sure that Team Dark is gonna stay dead. My prediction: once the Mecha Sonic thing is over, Sonic and co return to their world. Once back, Tails patches up Omega, and Shadow gives Rouge a 1-up mushroom.
Please don't let this series die please my childhood memories can be revived

What an episode i love how you are writing shadow to not be just an edgy asshole (looking at you forces) his anger against sonic is justicefied the first half of the koopa bros fight was fire with the tekken 8 music in the background looking forward to seeing the next episode

I've watched all the episodes so far and I'm loving it! I kinda feel weird seeing Shadow acting like a villain in this version as in most other versions of Super Mario Bros Z or animations in that style he is always an ally of Sonic and company but I must say that everything is of high quality, the story, the animations, the special effects, the audios, the fight choreography, you're doing a great job, seeing people doing their versions of Super Mario Bros Z makes me wonder what it would be like if SEGA and Nintendo made a crossover game between both franchises other than sports, with other genres like RPG, Action RPG, fighting, Hack N' Slash and etc. because the potential is great like Sonic's crossover with Megaman in Worlds Collide and Worlds United in Archie comics
This was better then the last eps. Favorite fight was knuckles vs the black KOOPA. I Wonder how knuckles is gonna be able to handle someone with an amor ability

First of this episode was amazing also at 21:12 was a reference from dinosaur king Ninja attack witch I also loved. Great job man

Like, my God 😭🙏. Shadow was lit as fuck and that was sad. Bless Rouge and Omega, and now I know why he's so angry. But for real, though, "Chaos Punishment," someone's been doing their homework.
And don't get me started on Koopa Bros vs. Team Sonmario 🤯.
Music choice was just top notch, and the fight choreography mixes well with the music. ❤ Especially when Koopa Bros was approaching them in the shift of the song 😭👏👏👏 My Gawd. I ate this up good.
SMB DX is just different. The animation, the storytelling, the dedication to show off every character possible. Thumbs up to you bro, this was well made. Just as good if not, dare I say, better than Super Mario Bros Z.
I can't wait to see Ep.7. That's gonna be straight fire to see. 😁

That was another awesome episode! Man, these battles were 🔥, all the combos, sideswipes, and special abilities were very well executed. 10/10 episode, really looking forward to the next part!
To all SMBDX fans, I hope you enjoyed the episode. It goes without saying coming up with the Koopa Bros. Koopajutsu was my favorite part. Putting my bias as the co-writer aside, my favorite was Koopa Red's Power Strike.
Here are some ideas for part 7:
- Base Sonic < Turbo Mode Yellow < Lightspeed Sonic
- Luigi could maybe counter Doppel-Gang-Up by activating Dream Mode and using his Luiginary Clones
- Mario and Knuckles swap opponents
- Knuckles can keep up with Power Strike Red
- Adamant Armor helps against physical strikes, but not against energy attacks
And for the general series:
- It is revealed (in Shadow's presence) that during the Phantom Ruby Event, Metal Sonic had full control and deliberately targeted Omega to take out Shadow and his team. As a result, Shadow somewhat forgives Sonic (maybe after 2 more hard punches as payback), but between him and Mecha Sonic, it gets very, VERY personal.
- Upon learning that Rouge and Omega are dead, Peach proposes talking with Dreambert and using the Dreamstone to revive them. Rouge and Omega then join the fight, as well as Dreambert and maybe some other Pi'illo Island characters (maybe even including Antasma joining forces with Metal Sonic).
- Fawful's scheme being developed further. Maybe using those power boost gems fuels some dark energy that leads to the reawakening of the Shadow Queen or a similar entity? Would also be a neat easter egg if, when Sonic sees someone use that gem, he first mistakes it for a Sol Emerald.
It's been a while since I watched the last episode but I surely missed these Sprite Animations like this. You have done a great job. Looking for episode 7. 🎉❤

It bugs me that Shadow didn't go and actually _check on_ Rouge after beating Omega. Omega getting smashed isn't _too_ concerning because he's been wrecked before and since he's a machine he can be repaired somewhat easily, but Rouge is flesh and blood meaning if she _did_ survive Shadow's attack it might've just put her in a critical condition and she might be able to survive if she gets to a hospital in time.
P.S. I just want to say this series is incredible and it's definitely worth the long wait for each episode.
Also as a major Sonic fan I refuse to call that attack Chaos Blast because Chaos Blast is in the Shadow the Hedgehog game and that's not how it works. It would've been more appropriate to call it Chaos Lance. Granted I don't think there's an actual _voice line_ for that, but that's not the point. Honestly though I am kinda surprised that he actually used the Chaos Boost technique. Most people forget about that one.
Now the Koopa Bros are actually tough, and not Reliant on the Chaos Emeralds.
The hand drawn animation on Shadow is pretty stellar. Nice work!

I think I found my new favorite episode, and new favorite fight scene; that being the Koopa Bros fight (sorry "Sonic VS Shadow" from Episode 3 XD)
Jokes aside, I really enjoyed this one, but I wish it didn't have to cut so short... tho it does make me even more intrigued to see Episode 7 in the future! Nice work, Smash!
What I don’t understand is why does Shadow blame Sonic for Omega’s corruption which led to his and Rouge’s death? Shadow has known Sonic long enough to know that he would never do something like that. At least not intentionally. If anything, he should be angry at Metal and want to aid Sonic in taking down Metal to get his revenge since it was Metal’s fault the Phantom Ruby corrupted Omega and made him go on a rampage. It just seems out of character for Shadow.
That part don 't make any sense,he see sonic & tails messing with the computer?so wath?how they would be responsible for omega rampage?

I really gotta give it to you man, how you wrote the Koopa Bros. (imo Ninjakoopas sounds catchier but you do you) gives me so much happiness because it really just gives them this TMNT vibe to it. Well, if they were to be bad guys anyway.
Wrecking a city while acting like a bunch of kids while doing it, just bad enough to want them to be taken down, but just fun enough to absolutely enjoy them on screen! And the music that played when they pulled up was straight up fire I love them sm

Nice touch adding the Shredder's Revenge boss theme in the Koopa Bros intro.
Personally, I would've swapped Green and Black's abilities, since... well, Shadow Clones, duh... as for the Green color, it feels like it'd fit a defense buff way better than a trick-type technique... also, shadow clones would've been a harder matchup for Knuckles, as being a heavy hitter won't help much if you can't hit the real deal.
