Watched the replay and loved how the glass/remote holder came out. Always enjoy your videos. Really like the fact that you don’t hesitate to take something apart. Your videos are greatly appreciated. Wish I could catch them live.
Laura, I just found your channel, and I"m enjoying it so much and learning a lot. I ordered some clothes line this morning, and can't wait to get started making some baskets. Thank you so much for your tutorials. I will be using my Pfaff machine. One question, what are your zig-zag settings? width and length. I like when you use your Brother machine because it's much quieter, and I can hear your instructions better. Thank you.
Just go slow and see your needle go into the middle of each rope as you sew. I would try a coaster first and a color thread to see where your stitch is. I use a jean needle also.
On my phaff machine I have to turn the wheel back to disengage the needle so I can wind bobbins… then after it’s wound I have to re tighten the wheel thing.. ( the wheel on the right side)
I read on another channel that some people are buying their rope from TEMU. I don't use that app but I thought I heard u state that u did - so it might be a better deal for you.
What size is your zig zag stitch? I tried to make one of these and I kept missing the rope. I thought they were a cool idea. I had embroidered in the bottom. Thanks for your help :-)
The bottom/beginning of my rope bowls are never flat. I’m using rope from Micheal’s - is it just too flimsy or something else? Of course I’m not angling the bowl to make the sides, I’m TRYING to keep them flat. I even go back over the completed bottom with straight stitches across the diameter of the base like a pizza, but the bases are always conical. Help.
The remote, yes perfect. I just made one for my cousin for his phone but for my remote which is always lost did not occur to me. You are so clever.
thank you
Love watching you Laurel...such good info and directions
oh. thank you
Wish I could find eyeglasses like that. I have made a few bowls with material, but have learned so much from you to incorporate different things.
Thank you

Great design. Love the glasses and floss! I’m voting for the Palm Tree dangle.
Thank you
That is a cool bowl.
This came out great! I like that extra cross-thread detail.
Thank you
Love it! ❤
Thank you
You should have a needle down position. That keeps your needle in the right spot when you stop to turn
Yes one of first things I learned. Needle down in fabric then turn!
Love your ideas Laurel.
thank you
Really cute

thank you. yes this one is a fun one.

Would it work if you dipped the end in wax or school glue to tame the fly aways & stop the frey?

Yes sounds like it’s the soft rope. Wish I was there to maybe help.
Maybe the stitches are too tight? @andreacatura3382
