    If you have old thread, put it in your freezer for a couple of days. This will put moisture back into the fiber and cause less breakage.

    Hi Joanna, I made a similar thing with old t-shirts cut into stripes (I didn't know the clothesline works tool) and for a final touch, I gave the basket a "sugar Bath" and let it dry. The whole thing becomes the shape you choose to let it dry in. Hope this helps 🙂

    Hey Joanna! What a nice basket for your butt-ton of apples! hehehe, love that! 😂
    Probably could even cut the potholder into whatever shape you want - heart, oval, etc.
    Maybe even try a lattice style - small finger size holes all throughout.

    This is a great idea. Where do you get a 16 needle for doing this?

      I was purchasing them at Walmart but now my Walmart did a reconstruction and took all their fabric stuff out except for a few fat quarters and pre-cuts. This totally makes me sad. I can get them at Hobby lobby or I can find them cheaper at Amazon. I have a link in my description box For my store and I have them listed in the sewing.

    Is that a heavy-duty duty machine, and if so, what brand? Thank-you.😊

    • @JoannasDIYLife
      @JoannasDIYLife  4 месяца назад +1

      It is a singer heritage. It’s a replica of an old Timey machine. They are kind of expensive. They do make a gray singer, heavy duty. They sell sometimes at Walmart and you can get them on Amazon pretty decently priced.

    What Is your stitch length ?

    • @JoannasDIYLife
      @JoannasDIYLife  4 месяца назад

      Mine was a little long. I’ve found out that the shorter you go can help firm the bowl. Also since all machines vary it’s better to do a test stitch on something first to set your stitch length and width.
