I was in Utah pumping fuel at a truck stop about 15 yrs ago . I saw a pack of wild horses running in the distance leaving a cloud of dust, what a beautiful sight to see ! Beautiful line this song ❤
The more the music industry these days produces ersatz crap the more I turn to absolute classics like this. Real musicians playing real music. Excellent stuff!
Billy Walkabout I was just fussing with my grandsons yesterday about a song they wanted to blast on the radio yesterday. Years ago that song wouldn’t have even been allowed on the radio with all the profanity. They couldn’t understand why I called it garbage music. Then, I was upset with myself because I couldn’t get them to understand.
When I first listened this song , I was 26... In 2006... Year is now 2023 , I am 43 and still same feelings... This song touches somewhere in my sould , a deep and dark corner of my pain...
My humble opinion, not only one of the most beautiful songs, but one of the most beautiful videos. Would love to have been in that studio. Rolling Stones at there very best. Awesome 👌
My mom passed last Monday we had this song played at her funeral. Carolyn was the biggest Rolling Stones and I was lucky enough to get to see them with her four times. Some of the most wonderful memories I have of me and my mom. It was such a fitting tribute to her. How I’m going to miss her.
We will lose family members over the course of our lives; the only connection well have will be music like these that captured memories that will always last in our minds. As a nurse, I work closely with Alzheimer patients and music brings back many memories and to see their faces lift is another level of human intimacy that was once lost. My hope in life is the freedoms we have to help others, simply smiling even helps. Our spirits seems not to fully be tamed for the wild horses within us seems to always drag us away. 🎼🎶
Never seen Mick in a recording situation....a different man when so intensely into the song without audience......I love this song .....so many memories from 80's.... once again, tears fall
I can fully relate to that. For many Stones fan this is the soundtrack of atleast an important part of their youth. For some this can be a never answered love. For me it's the remembrance of a time when I lived my life to the fullest, together with my beloved little sister who introduced me to the Rolling Stones. She died unexpectedly 3 years ago at the age of 47 (she turned 47 just a month before). I just can't get over that. Not only were we brother and sister..., we were also soulmates and best friends. Therefore the song 'Wild Horses' will always bring me back to the best times we shared together and that's how I so desperately want to remember her, but at the same time that's exactly what breaks me everytime I hear this song. I just can't help myself from crying.
The acoustic guitars are so perfect, subtle, controlled, and not over done. Bass and drums hold it all up perfectly. Singing by Jagger is perfection and comes from the soul. These guys are awesome! Can't get this song out of my head ... This has to be one of the best songs of all time.
I love this song so much, and seeing them perform it this way is just so awesome. Probably one of my favorite songs from them, and the harmonies gave me chills. 😍😍
❤This song moved me. I have always loved horses, riding them, being with them.Sharing a Native pear with Dolly; the Quarter horse I rode from age 5 to 15. She was my pal.
Fascinating to see Mick singing with his eyes closed , totally into the song and lyrics. Keith and Ron are fabulous guitarists. I love the bassist also,
First listened to this when I found the Sticky Fingers 8 track behind the bar at my parents pub, this is the only track I can recall, need to listen to the whole album again, sadly the 8 track has long gone.
My best friend, my father, was living in Texas with my sister. At the time he was visiting here so for a little while he could see me and his beautiful granddaughter, my daughter Aurora whom she loved her papà more than anything, he was driving to the air port to go back to live in Texas, I was in the back following him and this was always our song🎵 Both of us called each other and started crying and singing the words (rather quite loudly I might add) not only because this was just our father daughter song together but it came on at the exact the same time while he was leaving. There was just always a connection with me and him with this song 🎵 and this band period. I will be a stones fan for life and if I could have just one dance to this song with him one more time. It would be something I would hold the closest to my heart forever & ever. He’s been gone a year, but it feels like a life time. Thank you @rollingstones for writing this song it means soooo much to me as I’m sure it still does to my daddy. We will be riding horses together one day daddy. 🎵👅
The best version of this timeless classic. People know Keith Richards as an electric guitar virtuoso, but the guy is simply amazing on acoustic guitar, too.
NothingMaster I can recommend Keith's autobiography "LIFE" - a great read and some secrets of Keith's guitar work into the bargain. e.g. Did you notice that Keith's guitar on this has the bottom string removed? Open G tuning?
Best of Version of this Song , Love it . This song always reminds me of my soul brother Franky. May the wind always fill your sails and carry you to your destination.
My personal anthem Mick, Keith and the lads! Always loved horsing around! RIP Charlie riding that big white stallion into the everlasting light....a true gent!

Is this the greatest rock song or the greatest country song of all time? It has to be on a top 10 list in one of those categories. It’s an absolutely exquisite song.
Only recently realised that although I've heard some amazing covers of this song, I'd never heard the Stones' original. Excellent, and so good to see them all playing in such a mellow mood.
every once and a while I will be driving on some mission and THIS song comes on the Radio and I am stoned on the rolling memories that still hold breath in my past and flood moments of my present.... I will always appreciate this Band and this work of art...... Thank you Gents
One of my favorites of anyone's . The one I want dearly. Let's not compare bands but the quality of the lyrical performing. Can't live without this song. And this acoustic excellence. Let the critics flout.
I was asked to go to Maui Hawaii to help out as a tow truck driver so ,I was there in 2018 I played a lot of music this song I was there in Lahaina and I played this a lot every time I play this song now I think of Maui, Lahaina strong...
In my huble opinon, their 2nd best song..A true classic...Sticky Fingers and Let It Bleed where my first 2 Stones I got way back in 1974..Still listening to this day..Nothing better..
Every cell of my body tingles, my emotions fill to the brim as the guitars sound like an orchestra. Sometimes the masterful interplay of instruments is beyond description. Over 50 years old. Thank God for The Rolling Stones.
Thank you for posting, Mr Richards. I really like this this clip - no nonsense studio live version. Jagger and Richards' lyrics very fine. It's interesting that the line transcribed as, "Let's do some living after we die" is actually sung at about 4:11 as "Let's do some living after love dies," which makes more sense to me. People don't "live" after they die, except with religious faith in an afterlife. But we sure can try to enjoy life after love dies. First, we can move on to another partner. Or we can reconcile with the person we used to love, before loving became difficult. With "childhood living," everything goes sugar and spice, everything nice, until real adult experience notices things wrong with the other person, arguments, money difficulties, etc. Then love ain't so sweet. If you really love your partner in a full mature sense and commit yourself, then "wild horses couldn't drag you away." Really good song, but makes no sense unless the line is "Let's do some living after love dies."
Wow, so good. Been a moderate Stones fan forever but this vid hits me in the feels, and gets me stoked on the whole band. So much soul poured into this rendition.
I love the rolliing stones because.they are so.talented and have written the best songs ever like this beautiful song wild horses sung so beautifully by mick jagger so may you rock on forever beautiful mick and the boys and all beautiful people who have love in their hearts for one another and our animal freinds as well and remember that we.really don't get old we just get better, from carolyn grace and my mom and my cat shadow,
the longevity of this band amazes me. especially keith richards and how far medical science has come in preserving bodies withered and weakened from addiction and global touring. even though I don't find this band anywhere near as cool as I did in high school, they'll always resonate a popular rock and roll nostalgic melody somewhere in my heart/memory.
I've made the same comment on YT before, but when these guys get together, magic happens. They seem to really enjoy playing together more than ever. Yes,they are past their best, but savour them while you can. There will never be another act like them who will last as long and bring so much pleasure,to do many people 😋
I believe that somewhere in the world, there are still people who feel the same deep and sincere emotions that I feel when I listen to this song.

Hearing Keith's voice just cutting through is amazing, absolutely stunning.
He wrote the song with mick.
