My mother loved this song. She died unexpectedly in her sleep. After the funeral my brother, his family and mine drove up to the Grand Canyon to scatter her ashes after we were done and started to drive out of the park my wife says "We should have played her favorite song as you guys scattered her ashes, what was it? Wild Horses by The Rolling Stones I replied. We had some small talk for a few minutes then she turned on the radio and Wild horses started to play. Me, my wife and our two teenagers started to sob uncontrollably so much so that I had to pull over. My brother who was following in the car behind us must have thought that I wanted to say something so he pulls up next to my vehicle rolls down his passenger window but before he could say a word I just turned the radio up. I'll never forget the look of pure anguish he had, You've never seen two grown men cry as hard as we did.We all felt her in that moment she was saying good bye.
I'm crying too. My first husband to be and myself were still in high-school and I remembered that song in particular cause when he'd meet me at the bus stop and he in his car he always had Wild Horses playing on the 8 track . In memory of you Terrell Glynn Rogers RIP and there you have it. The perfect ending after all.
Played this song at my dear Wife's funeral. She died at the young age of 60 years from cancer. The most beautiful person and soul in the World for me. She's my soul mate. . We will be together again!!❤❤❤❤❤
This is one of my wife's favorite songs too, she used to sing it at karaoke. I'm sitting with her now at the hospital, just watching her. Cancer I feel your pain.
This is one of the most powerful songs I’ve ever heard in my life. 🥺 Life is full of heartaches and pain but each day we have to wake up and realize we are here for a reason. I’m praying for anyone who is going through their own battles and struggles.🙏🏽For one day may we all be set free from all this pain. 2023 here.💯
This song reminds me of my mom, who loved it. She died on March 27th, 2023 of heart failure alone in her bed. We didn't expect it at all. She hadn't told us that her aorta was 90% clogged. She raised my two siblings and I alone. I've been a mama's girl for over 40 years. We just had her celebration of life the day before last. I miss her very much. 😢
So sorry for your loss I lost my mom a yr ago and my only sibling my baby brother 2 mo ago they both passed in my livingroom 😢 I miss them so much and my dad I was with him when he took his last breath 58yrs old my bro was 54yrs old and mommy was 80yrs old I feel so alone 😢 I love this song and so did my bro I can't wait to see them again ❤
To me, this is a song not only about the bittersweetness of a mortal life with the ones we love, but about the mistakes we make, the time we take for granted, the innocence of imperfection, the strength and depth of hope in the face of a life bound to test us, fuck us up and ultimately undo us. It's a song about the things that remain, even after desecration, separation and death. Immortality, and mortality, woven together in this beautiful song. It gently speaks of the bonds of love that stay, even though time together will end. It seems to talk about the whole world, yet always feels so profoundly personal to whoever listens to it.
I'm not crying, your crying....lol But thank you! You are extremely wise and balanced. That was absolutely beautiful!💞 ....and yes, It did make me cry...but a sweet beautiful cry...

Just a brilliant song, I’ve been loving the stones for 60 years and seen them 7 times from Hyde park in 69 to Hyde park in 22 , and this can move me to tears every time.
Thank God they removed the dislike count. Maybe I won't have to see this kind of comment anymore that demands that _every single person in the world_ appreciates the same thing as they do. There's nearly 32 *million* views on this video, and you get your panties in a twist over 7 thousand of them (roughly 2 in ten thousand), many of whom maybe didn't even hit the button they were looking for, or were too young to understand, or demented or whatever. Your perspective (or lack of it) is quite insane.
The most beautiful song the Rolling Stones ever wrote....I love them and this song came straight from their hearts. God Bless you all and have a good day......
I used to hear this song and love it so much, then one day, I played it really loud in my room and my mother ran in and said : “THAT WAS MY DAD’S FAVOURITE SONGS ! This song has so much more emotion for me now ❤
My dad passed away almost 4 months ago. This is his favorite rolling stones song. I'm so glad both of my parents were older when I was born. I got to listen to all of there favorite songs growing up. Boomers had the best music of all time. Rest in peace dad❤

I spent the night with a lady that had a few years on me and it was one of those times you don’t forget and I remember waking up in the morning and this was playing. It’s probably one of those things I’ll never forget.
This is a song that i would hear as a kid. My dad would play it and hearing it now brings back so much of him. He passed in 2016 at 57 years young. Was my best friend!! But songs like this playing while i close my eyes brings be back to those times and im grateful.

It' strange, some of the best songs that come from some of the 60's & 70's bands came out when they where the most strung out. God bless the ones who are still w/us!
+John Toothill Jr. I agree! Today's music is loud, hard and a lot of it is yelled with no true meaning or feeling. (my opinion) Bands like The Stones, Zepplin, Doors, Kansas, Heart, Journey, Boston, Alan Parson's, Santana....they ALL gave use great music. Songs with words that made sense and could be felt by the heart! lol We went from that music to head banging, heavy metal, rap, etc... I got NO feeling for any of that! lol
+John Toothill Jr. I agree completely! Music today are just not from the heart, and generally lack inspiration. As a former junkie, I know the worlds drugs can open up your minds to. They are a known creative impetus. They later bring hell. But this is a masterpiece." God bless the ones who are still with us " amen!
Childhood living Is easy to do The things you wanted I bought them for you Graceless lady You know who I am You know I can't let you Slide through my hands Wild horses Couldn't drag me away Wild, wild horses Couldn't drag me away I watched you suffer A dull aching pain Now you've decided To show me the same No sweeping exit Or offstage lines Could make me feel bitter Or treat you unkind Wild horses Couldn't drag me away Wild, wild horses Couldn't drag me away I know I've dreamed you A sin and a lie I have my freedom But I don't have much time Faith has been broken Tears must be cried Let's do some living After we die Wild horses Couldn't drag me away Wild, wild horses We'll ride them some day Wild horses Couldn't drag me away Wild, wild horses We'll ride them some day

I’m really starting to understand that in life, you just got to except things. I can’t let every little inconvenience make me feel like the worlds over. I’m learning to focus on & appreciate what I do have, instead of worrying about the bs. There’s still a lot I have to work over, but things are OK. Just gotta keep going.
i've been dealing with major health issues for a very long time now. what gets me through ,is acceptance but more importantly a focus on gratitude and being genuinely thankful even on those bad days. life is good and remembering that humbly will serve you well! peace!
Rob man I'm so sorry for your loss. I'll be praying for you and I'm sure she is in a better place. Wild horses can not drag her away from the feet of Jesus or from your memory
God I love music... Undescribable feelings, emotions... All the goosebumps these bands have given me, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, The Stones, there's just simply no replacement...
My parents love the Rolling Stones I grew up listening to them and it's a band that hits my heart, it hits the core of me. I guess I came on here to vent out my emotions because life can get rough at times and I'm having a bad week. reading some of the comments gave me comfort to know I'm not the only human being who feels this way right now. This is for any human being who may be feeling the same way I do. Love yourself because nobody else will. Find beauty in the little things. Some day...
me too. i didnt even realize it becuz my mind was clouded by the gangsta rap era of the 80s and 90s. which i still enjoy, but boy i missed alot of yrs of actually hearing rock n roll, i grew up with my dad which is a classic rock all the way, and the stones, floyd, 3 dog night and lynard skynard and of course the few main great bands. was always feed rock n roll growing up so i already had a love for it i didnt realize til probably 25. im 35 in april. sitting in the truck after a late night gym session jamming when i should probably have my ass in bed. lol

I have listened to Wild Horses every day in the car for years and every time I'm on YT at home, which is quite a lot at the moment. Thank you, Charlie Watts, for your impeccable timing, your wonderful musicianship, your humbleness, your down to earthness and the antithesis of a "Rolling Stone" as it was you, SIR, that has kept the wonder of the Rolling Stones together. So many people love and respect you. And you will NEVER be forgotten. RIP
What an incredibly sustainable song this is. The Rolling Stones Goats Head Soup, is the first Album that I ever bought, and now 45 years later, I have to listen to this cut like it is the first time that I heard it. I'm saddened by all of those in the comment section who have lost their Loved ones, but at least they see the beauty and tranquility that this song brings to them. What a beautiful avenue for healing that music is.
@@martinnewtonholmes You are absolutely correct sir, it is from Sticky Fingers recorded in the summer ( here in Australia) of 69 and released in 70, Goats Head Soup was released in 73 and arguably my all time favourite Stones album certainly my most played......

How can near 7 thousand people dislike this classic all time song is beyond me?? One of the best songs of all time.
Because they were dragged away by a hamster
wtf
Thank God they removed the dislike count. Maybe I won't have to see this kind of comment anymore that demands that _every single person in the world_ appreciates the same thing as they do. There's nearly 32 *million* views on this video, and you get your panties in a twist over 7 thousand of them (roughly 2 in ten thousand), many of whom maybe didn't even hit the button they were looking for, or were too young to understand, or demented or whatever. Your perspective (or lack of it) is quite insane.
Bcuz the performance sucks. They wrote an amazing song. They shouldn't have performed it.
@@missybosa8488 well why you on here listening to it then if it sucks 🤔

Nostalgia is that ache in your heart for a place that no longer exists. This song captures that painfully delicious sound.

I got NO feeling for any of that! lol
Kind of weird hu, my father said that about that when i was young about our music!
+Bonnie Posey Stop spreading juvenoia. Open your mind. Theres some amazing music out every day.
+The Legend of Seph YOU Make Me Little CREEP! YOU want attention???? Go somewhere else and get it. Nobody wants you here. dumb ass
I sang this song to my partner at night when he was dying of cancer. It calmed him so he could sleep. I am touched by this song.
I used to sing this to my Mom towards the end of her life.
Peace to you.🌷
Sorry for your losses
Childhood living
Is easy to do
The things you wanted
I bought them for you
Graceless lady
You know who I am
You know I can't let you
Slide through my hands
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
I watched you suffer
A dull aching pain
Now you've decided
To show me the same
No sweeping exit
Or offstage lines
Could make me feel bitter
Or treat you unkind
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
I know I've dreamed you
A sin and a lie
I have my freedom
But I don't have much time
Faith has been broken
Tears must be cried
Let's do some living
After we die
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
We'll ride them some day
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
We'll ride them some day
Thx
Thank for writing this song
Well done

I’m really starting to understand that in life, you just got to except things. I can’t let every little inconvenience make me feel like the worlds over.
