First of all, the Sigma platform was exclusive to Cadillac. (CTS, STS, SRX) It had nothing to do with Buick. Secondly, the 3.6 V6 was not the "more reliable option". The Northstar V8's were made almost bulletproof by 2004. I have a 2004 Seville and 2006 STS with Northstars and both are awesome. On the other hand, the 3.6 was a time bomb regarding timing chains, oil and coolant leaks, etc. I hope you are selling this rust bucket for cheap.
I have 2 of these, an 07 v6 at 113k and an 07 v8 at 98k. They are great cars! I need to do the timing chain on the STSV as routine maintenance but they are very easy keepers. They are also fun to drive and the suspensions in them are incredible. I ride in a new Toyota and newish Honda all the time and it feels like popcorn compared to my STS. Mine are in way better shape than this one though. This one was not taken care of too great imo.
we don't get Cadillac in Europe anymore except through highly specialised dealers, but if I ever move to the middle east as I want to work there I plan on getting this car. ive heard the V8 is a pig on gas
Noob, the Northstar from 2007 has the headgasket problem fixed. And the 2007 northstar is the most reliable Part of this car. Everything else just fails. So this car overall is just crap, but the northstar is amazing.

As a 3.6 owner with 1 replaced timing chain, water pump, aux water pump, and burning oil, I second this.
@@dacrispy5268 , yeah, it's odd how there is so much love / hate for both engines!

Why would you get an old dogged out car to review? Not helpful.
The car…it’s bad 👎
