  • In this video we paint up an operative from the Manticor Bors Group. I use The Army Painter Speed Paints to achieve an effective look while being very efficient.

Since these guys will be my first minis I’ve ever painted, I greatly appreciate this video. Thank you MgM!

Nice! Best of luck. I try to make it as easy as possible for new painters.

Oooooh, I really like the Iraqi Sand dry-brush. Been trying to figure a way to give a sandy sort of feel and that'll help a ton, thanks much.

It's a great looking job, I can't decide if I want to paint my teams with speed paints or acrylics. They have so much texture that speed paints do so much of the work already. Really looking forward to seeing some physical battle reports too.

Right on! I find that using speed paints helps me not use a shade or wash on the model which takes time to dry. So efficiency gains there for me.

@@MiniatureGameMontage I think I'll end up painting Manticor with acrylics, and Harlow with speed paints. Got to wait for my models to make it across the Atlantic first lol.

Rattlecan or brush varnish and what brand?

I have only used rattle can varnish. Here in the US I just use Krylon. I’ve also used Citadel and Testors Dullcote.
