The long awaited winner of the ONR Giveway: Congratulations Tesla Treasures you are the winner. Yeahhhh. You will love the product. I will message you about shipping of your bottle of ONR. Enjoy!
Good video. In Hawaii, the only dirt you have is road dirt or bird droppings, but for those in colder climates know all to well the road salt challenge. It would be nice to see a video on using ONR on a heavy salted car in the midwest. We can't escape it, we just have to deal with it. And the fact when it is cold, we have few washing options. Thank you!
Aloha from Molokai, Really digging your channel, headed over to O'ahu this afternoon to pick up my 2020 Lexus UX250h F Sport from Matson, take it to get tinted, and get it on Young Bros for the trip to Molokai. Different car but many of the same materials and maintenance processes, it was in Alaska over the winter and wasn't able to be maintained very well so it's going to need a full blown detail and paint correction, plus it will be covered in salt spray from the trip on Young Bros. Keep adding to your channel cause I enjoy your humor and your approach to car care. Aloha Nui Loa
ONR is amazing guys! in encapsulates and emulsifies the dirt. Some Tips, you can use it in your steamer to help make it run better, you can clean your windows with it better than any glass cleaner, you can use it as a clay lube agent, and of course all through out your interior as well! It's amazing how little like a half ounce in a bottle can get you! And it smells amazing too!
Hawaii Tesla & Detailing I watched your pressure washer set up video awhile ago and ordered the same setup. I got it installed and posted a pic online. About 50 people asked me how I got a grey karcher pressure washer, lol. ( I painted mine like yours, great idea btw.) I sent them a link to your video. Keep up the good videos!
Great video, it was nice to see all three methods demo'd on one video. ONR and Bead Maker ate a killer combo. I have recently taken to TRC Ultra Black Sponge for both rinless and full contact washes, I like Auto fibers. 16 x 16 Dreadnought drying towels. Have you tried McKee's 37 N-914 Rinseless Wash? It is not polymer based.
@@HawaiiDetailing I like it better, I feel there is a little more lubrication, especially noticeable when drying with no drying aid. There chemicals are all designed by the same chemist so they are compatible, I like to use thier 10 minute paint sealant or one if thier soray waxes for a drying aid. N-914 is really great to use gir a panel wipe after compounding or polishing. With all that said, ONR is a great product, and slightly cheaper depending on the sale. Also Mckee"s products just started being sold at Advanced Auto.
I like the pretreat method and either go straight to the BRS and dry with beadmaker or if very dirty use the pressure washer to blast the pretreated dirt first then wash. Works great! THanks!
I would really like to see a rinseless wash video where the car is covered in fine mud from heavy construction dirt on road and the mess that's created when water trucks and sweepers are running all day......what most videos show is lightweight dirt. Downtown Toronto near waterfront is a construction nightmare.....2 trips and my paint colour is unrecognizable below the windows. I have to pressure wash....then pre-soak .... then pressure again ....then rinseless. This winter in going to have to go through a touchless wash when sub zero.....that thought is concerning but I'll limit those visits
That’s some tough no rinse conditions. It can be done but I would use about 12 microfiber towels in the buck and only wipe small sections and grab a new towel. The dirtier the more towels. I also would make sure that you have a really durable protection on the paint to make the dirt come off easy. Also use a high quality drying aid to keep that surface slick for the next wash. I would go for it. Let me know how it goes. Sorry I don’t have those conditions here or I would make a vid about it.
The reality is I'd prefer to do foam but can't due to city environmental laws. Currently using Turtle graphene flex wax but see the benifits of ceramic coatings. I do like the multi rag system👍
I like the #2 and #3 method depending on how lazy I am and using the pressure washer. I like how you use several mf towels to eliminate the chance of rubbing any dirt on the paint. The ONR is great for encapsulating dirt but why risk your paint to any dirty water. I think one of the best things about using a rinseless wash is eliminating water spots.
Nice video. I use the black soft foam sponge from the rag company. My issue with microfibres is they hold onto dirt which is a moot point as you never put the dirty rag back into the onr! The black foam has lots of cuts in it which releases the dirt as soon as you dunk it in the bucket. But the main reason l prefer the sponge is less washing of towels! Keep it up and nice pressure washer setup!
I can wash up to 10 cars with one gallon of ONR mix! WOW! I use one gallon of distilled water, add 1/2 oz. of ONR, mix. Yes, I do a modified version of Gary Dean method. I only put clean microfibers into mix, then wipe each dirty section, then dry with clean microfiber. Depending how dirty a car is, depends how many microfibers? I can wash my car 500 times for about $20.00, WOW! HAPPY CAR CLEANING!
Hey, I was curious about doing a rinse less wheel/tire cleaning if it was possible? It’s something I’ve been curious about. Could I hit my wheels and tires with some Adams then come in and ONR and finish off with some bead maker? I really appreciate any help and all your videos!
Yes I have. The company says it not necessary but it surely can’t hurt. I have not had any water spots or problems from using regular water. I generally use my pressure washer to rinse the panels when the car is super dirty. Thanks for commenting.
With the right nozzle it would work. The rinse step is not required for sure. I would do it if there is dirt or contamination visible on the paint that could be shot off with water. Thanks for watching
Awesome video! Do you have to use distilled water with this product? I've seen other videos where they recommend using distilled water. I live in an apartment and I don't have access to a hose. I was just wondering if I can just use regular tap water. Thxs!
I still like rinseless and it has its place in the lineup. Light mid week cleanups, spot cleaning etc. It s a great all around product to have for sure. I have been doing a higher PH touch less was lately as my in between wash. I also like the rinseless for an in the air conditioned garage with no mess wash.
I saw you used Mckees 37 N-914 no rinse when using as a clay bar lubricant for the windshield. As an overall rinse less wash would you prefer there ONR or the Mckees? Thanks
You can do any of those three methods. I recommended using this type of product when the car is not super dirty. If it really dirty do a traditional bucket wash. Thanks for watching
Does the number of GSM of the micro fiber towel matter? I have a 10 pack of 350 GSM micro fiber towels and wondering if that's enough. Also, how many towels (avg) do you use per car?
I would not use apc the same as ONR. ONR encapsulates the dirt so there is no scratching. If it needs APC then do a traditional bucket wash. Thanks for watching
@@HawaiiDetailing I think since you have to wash, you usually pre-wash, too. So as that stage, why not pre-spray with apc, like the method 3 (if you have some water available). And to save time, I wonder if you can mix onr with apc in the backet and pre-soak with the sprayer.
@@flowinthrou yeah anything is possible but I am just not sure how those chemicals will react with each other. I always want a really good rinse after using APC on the paint as it’s a alkaline cleaner.
Honestly I use number 2 most of the year and number 3 in summer with the hose hooked up. And usually 3 wash mitts with older mf towels for the wheels and very low portion of the car. Our cars take a beating in Canada during winter, normally it’s best to do a clay bar, polish and wax of it’s a daily 😂
Super cool video! Thanks for sharing. What about a non-coated car? I'm a, "weekend cleaner". Any suggestions with regard to how to proceed with ONR in my case?
If the vehicle is so dirty that you can only use a section of the towel , then you need to wash it properly. Otherwise, you can just use the one towel to wash the vehicle, until it does get too dirty to continue. I'll pass on the free bottle of Optimum No Rinse, as I already discovered its formula (I work at ta soap company.)

Chicago Auto Pros had such a video--March 4, 2021. Believe it or not, they used a steam cleaner to get the really caked on salt out.
I just bought a gallon of this stuff today based on your video. Just watching it one more time before I give it a shot.
It’s good stuff. Very versatile product. Thanks for watching
Yes we did it we got first!!!
thanks for always checking in first.
That’s exactly how I do it. Multiple towels then in another bucket they go. Works like a champ
That’s the best way to make sure you are not dragging dirt around the car. Thanks for watching.

What are the name or where did you get the Stainless Steel shelves that you are storing product in? The ones in the background above the workbench.
David Dolezal Pitt posse is the name of the manufacturer.
I hope there is some cheaper Chinese branded polymer rinseless washes to buy soon
This is pretty economical
This is over a year later, but I was wondering if you still recommend the ONR or the McKees? Thank you
They are both good. I plan to do a review of mkees soon. Thanks for watching

It’s a good one. A classic.
I would use the low water method, since I don't have access to water near my Tesla
DustyTheRealtor yeah than that method would work really well for you.
Can you use more onr as a drying aid instead of beadmaker?
Yeah it just won’t have the slick surface after.

My objection to multiple towel washing and using less water is now you have more washing that uses more water.
And the new ONR “improved formula “ is now available with more lubricity!
Thanks will have to check it out.
N-914 is still king
