- Using the New Optimum No Rinse today. It’s a waterless/rinseless wash that is good for interior and exterior. Check out the video for more info.
The all time "KING" of the rinseless washes! ONR to rinseless washing is like what the old green can of Turtle Wax was to waxes back in the day. King of the mountain!
😂
N914 is significantly better
@@1209MArky I totally agree with you as I have N914 myself along with about 15 other types of rinseless washes I have been testing over the past two years. Another really good one for deep cleansing with a rinseless wash is FEYNLAB Pure Rinseless. VERY good product. Without a doubt the most powerful of the rinseless washes.
Try DIY Detail's Rinseless. Yvan's latest creation. Surfactants let you get a sleight foam out of it as well if you prefer foaming. Leaves N914, ONR & Absolute behind IMO.
As one of the first coating companies in North America (maybe the first?), I really respect Optimum's no hype approach to detailing. They keep it simple and don't offer a million different products just to make $. One wax, one consumer coating and the rest are professional level.
I agree
In my shop, ONR is a must! In the Hartland, we experience salt, road grime and other winter factors, weekly washes with ONR is AWESOME! In the winter, temps can be 0 degrees or lower, washing with soaps and hose, is not possible. But with ONR. you can wash your car all winter long! For about $20.00, you can wash your car 500 times, WOW! ONR is a game changer!!!!
Haha, glad I don’t live in the cold. Brrrr
Love onr, I’m going to pickup a big bottle soon when I’m out, even though I have water easily available it’s just so convenient going over the car once a week with onr in a bucket
Oh definitely, that’s what I do.
ONR was a game changer for me. One of my all time favorite products.
For sure
I honestly can’t tell the difference between the updated ONR and N-914. I did a side by side and let both of them dry on the panel, they both wiped away the same. Both have good lubricity as far as I can tell. Another great video!
Ya, pretty similar
Bro save yourself from the early onset arthritis.
Walmart has a pump sprayer with the extended nozzle and you can get the 1 gallon for $10 or the 2 gallon for $15.
I picked up 2 and they're solid, but they really really shine when doing a waterless wash or pre-treating with a rinseless wash.
Just go to the garden area and look for a black/red/clear sprayer that says eliminator on it. The Vegas Wal-Mart shows both in stock.
I have many pump, and battery sprayers. I try and make videos for normal people that don’t make detailing their life though. But I appreciate the advice.
@@DetailingBreakdown pretty much anyone that has a home is going to have a sprayer, and anybody that picks up detailing as a hobby is very likely to have a pump sprayer or two.
On top of that I'd say $10-$15 bucks for a pump sprayer is definitely within reach for those that may not want to make detailing their whole life, especially when it can be used for several different tasks around the house.
@@muchachogrande2019 absolutely
@@DetailingBreakdown hey man I'm not completely altruistic here, maybe I just love your content and I'm trying to save you from the future arthritis pain in the hands to make sure we all get more awesome videos from you to watch. Haha 😉
@@muchachogrande2019 nah, I appreciate you brother
Tesla has a special option self-cleaning mode it's an extra 10k
😂
I’m using ONR more and more with the UBS and one bucket and getting fantastic results . I’m still trying to train the bucket to follow me around the car for more efficiency
Haha
Funny never was into rinseless wash until u made me try it.love it.saves me about 45 minutes when detailing. Seems like ok product. Fenylab and uber rinseless wash. Love the sickness and cleaning ability. B well brother
I hear that a lot.
I enjoy watching your rinseless and waterless wash video's, Great job. an you please provide a link to the orange and purple towels you are using, they look very nice quality. Thank You

Okay I’ve got something you’ve gotta try. I found on old forum posts ONR can be used as a waterless wash at 16:1ratio, I’ve tried opti-clean and it’s a good product but not nearly as economical imo as ONR.
But what you gotta try is ONR Wash & *WAX* at 16:1 for your waterless wash for light dust. I found this to also be much slicker than blue ONR 16:1 ratio, idk if that’s because of the wax or what not.
I then took some of those plush towels like you have, not the eagles but the ones that have the tighter nap that are like 600GSM and was able to honestly go around the whole car with one towel folded, I used an AutoFiber amphibian with the plush side to buff dry and the twist side for windows. I used tap water as well
The product flashed amazingly once buffed, even on windows! This may be my new way to wash a car. It did take the whole 16oz bottle to do my Civic but that’s still about 50¢ a wash or so. It was also windy which made spreading the product evenly difficult at times.
I then followed up with Sonax BSD and didn’t experience any of the awful streaking BSD is famous for. Im not sure if they reformulated recently because it was a new bottle of BSD, if the wax in the ONR helped, or that the amphibian towel was slightly damp from drying.
Im sure you could use Valor, or any spray sealant to add that extra pop.
So: ONR Wash & *WAX* 16:1, a plush towel, and a plush drying towel. Follow up with a spray sealant of sorts and you’ve got the ultimate waterless wash hahah! Video coming soon on my detailing channel I’ll link when posted.

Yes, I’m a fan of ONR WW and have done what u said. It’s a good combo. Appreciate the feedback
Why more people haven't gone rinseless or even water rinsed into a rinseless solution wash is beyond me. From what I've viewed, it seems more efficient than the traditional 2 bucket method.
It’s hard for them to believe it won’t scratch the car
I wonder if by protection, they mean UV protection as there is also ONR rince and wax formuler for those who want a bit of protection. I have both and compared to N914 and have to say N914 was better.. Smelled better and felt slicker and flashed/wiped off easier.
I don’t think this would do anything for UV protection. Lots of products claim that but I’m not sure how effective they are so I just always take that with a grain of salt.
I agree with u about the 914
Try it for the first time this winter wow!
Nice, did u feel like u would scratch the car?
Its a no brainer to pre-treat the car with a spray solution before using the wet towels IMO. ONR, Mckee's N914 etc are very cheap.
Yessir
How do u like this compared to mckees 37 914
Very similar, but I think McKee’s leaves less if any residue
Very versatile that's for sure!
Definitely
I've known about ONR for a while... I tried it for the first time this Winter. I have the new version. It's excellent! smells nice, great lubrication, good cleaning power. I love it!!
What is the new version? Do you have a link?
@@RaylinAquino_ Rinseless Wash is the way!
Thanks for the video, as someone who has made a living off detailing and swears by the 3 bucket, prewash, foam etc, I'm gonna have to try it out.
Still, lot of my customers cars get really dirty and I just don't see myself washing them like this without marring the paint.
Just rinse or pre spray first. Loosed that dirt up n try to get as much off the car
ONR is the king.
It’s definitely a name to be said
Great video, was looking for the new formula review.
Thank u
Awesome video and product review brother.
Ty
Another good video. Glad that you revisited it. One of the original rinseless washes and the reformulation has it competing with the best options even now.
I find it encapsulates better than N-914. ONR is affordable and works and smells great.
On the protection you are right, it does leave some protective polymers behind but not really much. (All the rinseless do leave some sort of polymers behind in the end).
I’m glad I got the New formula as well. Really nice product
N914 doesn’t leave any protective polymers behind.
@@qwikss4469 they all leave polymers behind. It’s marketing saying they don’t leave any. It’s not possible chemically for these products to flash off 100% leaving nothing.
The only thing that matters is if the polymers left behind affect your next step (and with both N-914 and ONR they don’t seem to have a problem with that).
@@qwikss4469 we know
@@jayhoughton558
No sir, Feynlab rinless ito me microfiber wash detergent & no problem....
The main difference I’ve noticed between the new formula onr vs mckees is that onr leaves a polymer layer behind whereas mckees doesn’t.
How can u see or feel this?
ONR is fine… def not the slickest at all. Their improvement wasn’t good enough IMHO. Many better ones out there.
Definitely not the slickest.
Can’t go wrong with ONR.
Ben, can you do a comparison between Adams Wheel and Tire Cleaner and Turtle Wax Hyperfoam Wheel and Tire Cleaning?
Everyone is hyping the product but no one has done that comparison yet.
I don’t have the Adams Wheel and Tire cleaner or the TW stuff. Sorry
I've just started using onr to get some winter washes done on my daily. Not bad. Somehow removed salt easily with this spray on wipe off method
Ya, just be liberal with it and work clean. U should have no problems
Those panels are looking flat... need more protection... lol... that gyeon coating is creating some serious beads
Love it, and that’s the old formula. Imagine the EVO line up.
GREAT VIDEOS. WHAT IS THE BEST RINSELESS WASH IMYOU HAVE USED IN YOUR OPINION? ONE THAT DOESNT FOAM. I AM CURRENTLY USING WOLFGANG THE PINK ONE
I like American Detailer Garage Wipeout a lot. Just got another gallon.
Great cleaning power, great in a spray bottle, even better for washing your microfiber towels!
Hmm, I don’t know about using this instead of a microfiber soap. But, if it works for you that’s great.
Get a pump sprayer! Lol great video though, Thank you!
I have many but not always available for videos. Ty for watching!
compared to wipeout is it equal in performance but better duty due to price?
It’s pretty equal but I actually like Wipeout far better. Seems to be slicker and shinier in my opinion
I’m a mobile detailer and I have a 65 gallon water tank and a pressure washer but I love washing a vehicle with ONR easy n faster and no water spots I only use my pressure washer if the vehicle is really filthy I’ll pre Rinse but after that ONR in my 5 gallon keg sprayer I have a bucket filled with towels soaking in onr so I’m always ready

I like how RUclips detailers use these products in a climate controlled situation,as a mobile detailer I would love to see you demonstrate outdoors...
I’m not mobile. I use most products in the same way. Should I rent a van as well?
I do occasionally go outdoors. Here is one just a few days back.
ruclips.net/video/CB2n4WZILPA/видео.html
@Detailing Breakdown didn't ask you to rent a van but whatever, my point was to use it outdoors to show us mobile detailers who aren't as fortunate as you how it works outdoors...
@@thedetailcompany3091 I know what u mean but ur condescending with the “RUclips Detailers” comment. Do we have to do 2 videos for everyone? One video for mobile guys and one for guys who have a shop? Can we just use and demonstrate a product and give people ideas and they can implement their own process from that? Should we use polishes and coatings outside as well? How far should us “RUclips Detailers” have to take it?
@Detailing Breakdown condescending? No, now if I woulda said "you RUclipsrs that detail" I would absolutely agree but I didn't, I called you a RUclips detailer bcuz you're a detailer that's on RUclips, but yeah maybe a half inside half outside demonstration would be great bcuz there is a lot of mobile detailers that could benefit from a product like ONR if it could also work in outdoor conditions...
@@thedetailcompany3091 ok, I have some more Rinseless Wash products I’ll use outside
Great job waterless wash miigwetch

I just bought some ONR and still not sure what is the dilution for waterless. I found some post from ONR suggested 10 oz 1 gallon, which is about 2.6 oz in 1L spray bottle. But in your video, you're only using 0.5 oz into the spray bottle. That's about 5 times less. What is the appropriate dilution?
For waterless, use a half ounce to an ounce in a spray bottle. U can always adjust how u like
May I know what sprayer is that?

I’ve only ever used the newest formula and I love it. One of my Frankenstein creations is 1oz of ONR, 1oz of Sonax BSD, and about 16oz of water. A fun little waterless 2 go spray.
That’s cool, does that mix mess up your towels since it has BSD?
@@DetailingBreakdown I’ve never noticed it, I also have way too many towels so it is possible I just haven’t noticed. If my towels are super dirty I use Optimum Power Clean 3:1, about 1oz of it, as my detergent and I’m pretty sure that kills any hydrophobic issues.
I doubt this Frankenstein adds much in the way of protection but it’s plenty slick and is a good little gloss boost if I’m out in a parking lot or something bored lol.
I’ve also seen guys on the OPT forum adding in opti-seal for a similar waterless sealant Wash.
@@stephen1503 right on! So u out Power Clean in your washing machine by itself or mixed with another cleaner?
@@DetailingBreakdown by itself! Dr.G said it’s all they use to wash towels at OPT lol. I have a suspicion a lot of microfiber specific detergents are a form of natural citrus APC anyway. But yep I just measure it out in a little cup and pour it in on its own. Sometimes I’ll add a little free&clear detergent if I feel I need more suds but I’ve also noticed just adding a little more power clean works just as well.
I’ve also noticed using power clean makes even my cheapo Home Depot towels feel softer and fluffier after a wash.
You also don’t need very much at all for a load. 1-2 oz for a small to medium load. Super cheap since you can’t dilute actual detergent
Oh and I always select “deep rinse” or whatever it’s called on the machine just to assure I flushed the APC. But since I use ONR I don’t have to worry about any light amounts of residual power clean because of the synergy in the line.
Gotta love those dual action spray bottles
Seriously, after my video on them, they sold out. Haha
How do i know if i have the new or old formula? I bought a gallon of ONR last month from Amazon...
It has a gold sticker that says new formula. I’m not sure about gallons

Does ONR Wash and Shine contain any form of wax or polish? If not, why do they call it Wash and Shine?
It doesn’t as far as I know. It’s called that because it has polymers and wetting agents that suspend dirt so u can clean and then dry the panel to a nice shine. It’s not called wash n polish. Know what I mean?
@@DetailingBreakdown Yeah I guess so but I believe ONR might be stretching it a bit with that name. I’ll bet there are more peeps out there that think they are getting some sort of an additional benefit by using Wash AND shine.
@@MrBritrider it’s just a Rinseless product. Ur thinking too much into it.
Should I get ONR or Duragloss Pink ??
Duragloss is fire so whichever is cheaper
@Detailing Breakdown Thanks forbthe help sir!!
Do you use distilled water?
I use reverse osmosis because I have it here but I also use tap. Distilled works best.
Love ONR feels great so slick but one big con is the steaking it leaves :(
Hmm, you get streaks on paint?
If you have streaking you're overusing it or something, onr isn't streaky. One capful (from 32oz bottle) per gallon of water.
On black paint I've noticed it ..n I am doing everything correctly frm distilled water to measurement n the best microfiber towels around.
