BREAKING NEWS.... This is Wendy from I.B. Frogging news and this just into my ear drums. Crystal from BOD have us all another fabulous tutorial tonight. This is a gorgeous wavy ripple stitch never before seen by myself. Now the question for my viewers is this.... To drop what is on your hook or wait to create this beautiful work of art? 😂 😂 😂. Thank you Crystal for another great tutorial. I cannot wait to start this.
Absolutely lovely! It always amazes me that as soon as I start looking for a certain pattern BAM! There’s you with a spectacular tutorial! Fabulous!💜🧶💜
She’s got this pattern down pack! I love ❤️ it. I really like when people take their time and explain what their doing as they do it like on here. I call that being a great instructor as well as being a great Teacher. That’s how we all learn 💖💖💖
I’m finally making this baby blanket. I purchased the yarn last year but wanted to finish sone WIPs before I started it. I think it’s appropriate that I make it in the Month of BOD. 🥰 LOVE IT❣️
This is the 1st "chevron" type look that I have seen that I like. Thanks, Crystal! Willy worm tickled me. You're so cute! I love your expressions. I always expect to hear you say "just like that" in your tutorials. I think you should have Daniel dye a beautiful solid color of Brown (your fav color) and name it "Just Like That". It would be perfect for your collection! ❤️🙂🧶
Hi Crystal🎉 It's Nana in Vegas. I bought my yarn today to make this afghan. I decided on Lion Brand Ice Cream. It's soft and size 3. I decided the 3 size yarn would be good for Vegas weather. I'm hoping and praying I can complete. The color I chose is Butter Pecan. Hopefully we will be getting a new living room set and I think thst color will blend with whatever color I end up with. Send good thoughts my way!!
Crystal ❤ I tried to start a ripple skirt tutorial by another crochet-tuber. I became so frustrated, frogging, rewinding for clarification, etc… I just knew that the problem had to be me, because of the many comments praising the quality of the tutorial. So, I kept trying, never getting past the first 40 stitches on the 2nd row. Finally, I came home to you, and within 3 minutes you had me working it without any confusion. I thank you for your tutorials being so helpful to the yarn community. You were my very first subscribe, and I always end up back with you. You get me and I get you ❣️❣️❣️ Just had to share how much you promote confidence in me and my ability. Thank you so very much ❣️ Also, I am trying to make this in the round, we’ll have to see if I can do it. As always, love you Crystal…don’t ever forget that….🥰🥰🥰
You are the best teacher ever! I started one, with bulky 6 yarn and a 15 mm needle. Following your count. Then I had 6 extra stitches! But you repeated : “count your stitches “ so I did. I found I had done my 2dc together in one stitch, instead of two stitches! So I pulled it out. Thank you for saying you had to pull yours out, it gave me courage to rip it out and make it right! It’s going to be beautiful, I want it to look like ocean waves!
After watching three other chevron blanket tutorials, I landed on this one which makes sense to me. You are the queen of tutorials, for sure. Thank you!
Crystal you are truly amazing. You are the standard I “measure” other yarn-ie folks. I appreciate you very much and all that you do for the community. Don’t ever stop being you. So many wonderful tutorials, your child like joy when you get new yarns or mystery yarns that you love. And your giveaways (I am still trying). Take care. Hope you see this 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love the yarn. Another awesome tutorial, can’t wait to try this. I have to wait until I get the sweater finished. Thank you so much for making these stitch tutorials so easy to follow and do.
This was the first video I saw back in January 2023 when I decided to teach myself to crochet. I thought it was way too advanced for me. However, I fell in love with it and kept wanting to make it. I finally decided to just try it, and now I'm "hooked". Lots of stitch markers, and counting but I'm 6 rows in now! I'm using Caron jumbo ombre in Sepia and loving the results. Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge. My anxiety thanks you too, because crocheting is something I can hyper fixate on and forget my troubles. ❤
Thanks Crystal, now I have just ordered 5 balls of this yarn to make 2 seperate blankets. I have to stop watching your videos, my stash can’t keep up with my crocheting speed 😂.
Beautiful! I love that you say you tore it out 5 times! I just did a blanket that I had to tear out rows 4 times...frustrating, but is done right and worthy of giving.
I've juat found this pattern and started yesterday. I had to put more st in to get the width i wanted and have not had to count st. Working out just great thanks.
I love this pattern! For some reason I like the wavy look more then the regular pointed chevron look. Thank you, Crystal, for this tutorial. Your tutorials are much appreciated. 🤗❤️🧶
OMG! I love this pattern. I have frogged it several times. I kept reminding myself that you even said you had to undo it 4 or 5 times. I now know how to find my mistakes. I also have a mantra to help with the single stitch row so i dont have to count out 119 stitches each time. Your teaching technique is great. Thank you for sharing.
That Momenti is so pretty worked up! It may seem silly, but it is good to know that not just us beginners have to frog back work. Thank you for the honesty!❤️❤️
Crystal l going to save this and crochet it later thank you , lam so excited to get started on it but l have something pending to do beforehand, thank you sweetie so much ! 💁♀️💕🙏
Thanks Crystal! I am making a baby blanket for my friend's first grandbaby. I am using 2 colors in blocks of several rows each, and working the 2nd color from the "wrong side" so there is an alternating texture as well. So far, so good!! Thank you for all the great tutorials!
Definitely the cashmere! My faves are the pink & silver😍I think the pink would make a gorgeous summer top and the silver would be beautiful as a small shawl to even wrap around the neck. Coordinate those with a nice skirt or dark pants and heels and 💥 you’re the talk of the town!!!
You know I'm learning alot of new stitches watching. all your tutorials. I liked to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm a beginner, sometimes don't feel that way with the stitches I'm doing. I'm just so happy. Right now I'm doing the primrose blanket for my living room. Luv ya
Girlfriend I was just looking at that yarn in my Herrschners Catalog!! Now I'm going to make this Blanket and use this This Beautiful Yarn! Thank You Chrystal!!🧶🥰🙋🏽♀️
Thank you for sharing this stitch with us. I just have to remember to count the stitch’s one row is dc and the next sc in every stitch. Thank you for sharing us again. Be careful and safe how is your family!
Crystal, Thank goodness I found your channel. You bring 😊 to my day. Beautiful stitches from a beautiful lady, inside and out. Gracious thanks,. Carolyn S
What a gorgeous combination of stitches. It’s very elegant in appearance and is perfect for ombré or self-striping yarns! I do LOVE those chain spun yarns as the don’t tend to fuzz and are often so very much softer.
The colors are beautiful as well as the blanket. I have a ton of yarn 🧶 and really need to make my newest beautiful little granddaughter a blanket from her Nana!!!!! I’ve got a lot of blankets to make, but just can’t decide which blanket pattern I want to use for each one!!!
I will never be able to get everything I want to make done. I did make over 200 crocheted hearts for valentines day , my daughter took them to the school where she works. Currently I am making clover for next month. My daughter wants more for st Patrick's day. Crystal you taught me how to make the heart and flowers and the shamrocks and clover that will be passed out next month. Thank you.
Well leave it to Crystal to come up with awesome stitch combos…..this is gorgeous and so is the yarn, which I am ordering! It works up beautifully with this stitch pattern! Thanks, Crystal, for always keeping us in (unique) stitches!! xx🤗💕
Finally got started on this blanket. Half way through the second row I realized I forgot to chain 1in between the stitches 😂😊, here we go again! It's a beautiful blanket. I will get this!
Absolutely love this tutorial! So easy to follow along! I’m trying it out with red heart Roll With It Melange in color Curtain Call. Working up beautiful! Thank you for sharing your amazing work! 💕 🧶 💕
I so love the look of wave/chevron patterns but there are SO MANY chances of goofing up=that it makes me way nervous about trying to make one. I can't swear or promise that I'll try it anytime soon...but I wrote the directions out lol. 🤩😄
Crystal, I absolutely love this blanket! But--i have gotten 14 rows done and I think I have re-done every row at least twice! I am sticking with it. I am using caron simply soft speckle, color, Vintage. Thank you for the tutorial😀
Very Pretty wave look 🌊 I had to color control. You asked if I used the same yarn you used…No, I don’t know the yarn nor brand name I used. I’ve been practicing this pretty wave stitch. It took a couple tries…I think it has to do with my tension but practicing made all the difference. You were right counting the stitches is so important. Thanks for sharing🙏🏻
Great pattern! Just a suggestion, for the SC row, I worked out a way to keep the stitch count correct: Instead of counting the whole row of stitches I count 1-6 over the "six 2dctogs" & then I count 1-11 for the "ch 1 & 3dctog" section. (It's "1, 2, 3" for the beginning and ending three 2dctogs.) If my count is off, then I know I missed a stitch and can fix it before I get all the way to the end. Thanks for all of your great videos! Stay well.
Hey Crystal! I love the soft wave of your Everlasting Innocence blanket, and the yarn you used is perfect for this pattern; it makes it come to life!! I've had some Caron Baby Cakes in Rose Tartlet, and when I saw this I thought it might look cool to use for this pattern. I'm not good at choosing yarns or matching up colors, and I'm anxious to see how it turns out. I can't wait for you to see it. I started on it this afternoon and I'll send you a picture of it when I'm finished. I appreciate you so much and am thankful you designed this pattern and made this tutorial to share with all of us. Take care and stay safe!!! ✌️❤️
Just what I was looking for..clear instructions for a wavy pattern! I am using your video to make an afghan with an ombre teal. Lovely! I could call it Ocean Waves but, since it is for a lake house, I will call it Waves on the Lake.
I remember when you unboxed the Momenti Meadow. Such gorgeous colours in it!! Your pattern with this colour way is perfect for it!! Makes it look like the blanket is rippling!! I’ve never tried a ripple, wave or chevron stitch yet but when I find the right yarn, your pattern is definitely the one I’m using!! This is going to be such a popular pattern!!🤩😍👏🌹
Beautiful stitch... can't wait to make smthg soon.I've done chevron earlier too... but this one is different. Thank u crystal for this amazing tutorial. Stay blessed. 👍🌹

I would love that blanket in blues because of the waves. Very pretty. Thank you for sharing!
My grand daughter had her 1st child 1/23 born over 3 months early. He is doing good. I have got to do this in blues as you suggested.
Beautiful blanket. My neighbors daughter will love it!! Thanks Crystal 🧶💚

Momenti is a fantastic yarn. Multiple of 17+1. First row is single crochet. 6:03. 18:38 (single crochet all the way). 22:38. Same as first row

I’m going to make this using the same yarn and color. It’s a gift for a special person who has a Utube channel. Thank you Crystal
Love this! Thank you for making this one and telling us that to take our time and not getting flustered. You make everything so easy to follow.
Absolutely gorgeous but I love the fact it’s simple n not pointed.
Thanks Crystal for clear n precise instructions.
I love how the colors changed up.
After watching three other chevron blanket tutorials, I landed on this one which makes sense to me. You are the queen of tutorials, for sure. Thank you!

Thanks Crystal, now I have just ordered 5 balls of this yarn to make 2 seperate blankets. I have to stop watching your videos, my stash can’t keep up with my crocheting speed 😂.
I agree sometimes you gotta pull it out in the beginning many times to get it right. I’ve done it.
Beautiful! I love that you say you tore it out 5 times! I just did a blanket that I had to tear out rows 4 times...frustrating, but is done right and worthy of giving.

What a gorgeous combination of stitches. It’s very elegant in appearance and is perfect for ombré or self-striping yarns! I do LOVE those chain spun yarns as the don’t tend to fuzz and are often so very much softer.
Gonna start this today in a throw size for my mom. Thank you again Crystal 💕🧶💕

Great Chevron blanket tutorial.
Loving this pattern! Using it to make a baby blanket with bernat blanket stripes. Can’t use smaller hooks at the moment as my hand is injured

Love the blanket even looks good in solid color
I agree!! Love the curves over the zig!
This is definitely a pattern where you have to count and pay attention…as with most chevrons…but the finished product is so worth it!🥰

Oh my Crystal I love this pattern. I am for sure making this blanket. I am going to use a 4 weight blue and gray yarn, Red Heart.
Such a lovely pattern…thank you Crystal 🧶🙂
I like using a dk weight for my blankets, but cotton or cotton blends are always a favorite. I like the way these colors blend!
Crystal, I absolutely love this blanket! But--i have gotten 14 rows done and I think I have re-done every row at least twice! I am sticking with it. I am using caron simply soft speckle, color, Vintage. Thank you for the tutorial😀

I love this blanket, can't wait to make it for my granddaughter
This yarn is gorgeous. The colours are fantastic! This is my next blanket pattern!
