- After ranking all the lego games based of reviews and other peoples opinions it was time for my list of the top 10 best lego games before the release of lego star wars the skywalker saga this list is purely my opinion

i thought lego star wars the complete saga would be 1st! it wouldve been if i was making a list. but at the same time he did say that nostalgia wouldn't affect his rating so i can see why its 10th.
I would’ve just said “LEGO Star Wars TCS is so good but too obvious that it’s number one on the list so I’m putting it on the side to get you curious what number one is”
Ironic, considering how TCS still largely holds up to this day and super heroes 1 absolutely does not

Not putting Lego City Undercover on this list is a crime against humanity. Honestly, it’s not quite my favorite but I genuinely believe it’s the best lego game TT has ever made and I wish they‘d make more original lego games.

Lego pirates of the Caribbean is so underrated
Lego Star Wars 3's biggest weakness is its theming, not by any fault of the game, though. It just so happens that the first two seasons of Clone Wars are the most boring, and therefore all the memorable arcs of later years got left out.

I wasn’t that big of a fan of ground battles either. I remember as a kid I use to get stuck on them.

I remember seriously struggling with the clone wars minkits but there was a something so rewarding about finally getting them all, especially because they expand the roster. Fantastic choice.
And also I’d just like to say that you are by far one of my favourite RUclipsrs, I think your content is so witty and funny and I genuinely take into consideration your views and opinions when in regards to Lego games. I love what you do and think you should keep at it because I’ll be with you till the end of the line.

I agree with many like complete saga and LEGO marvel superheroes and dc supervillains but I would have definitely had LEGO city undercover in the top 3
I agree with you on all of this except my favorite is lego pirates of the caribbean because of how perfectly they nailed johnny depps mannerisms
I first played Lego Lord of the Ring when I broke my leg back in 2014 and it was just so good because it kept that magic Lord of the Rings had but also managed to make it fun for all ages

11:24 I knew I wasn’t just dumb! Flying in this game is hardest thing i ever did in gaming! (And I did no hit deathstroke on hard mode in origins, flying was way harder)

Honestly, replaying TCS in 2021 wasn’t bland…but 100%ing it was.
@@borkwoof696 facts during 100% tcs i liked the bonus levels and the minikits because there were seperate and unique rooms for them but playing through the superstories, the blue minikits and the bonus missions where you collect studs.. it's super repetetive
Na TCS is easily top 3 just behind years 1-4 and marvel superheroes 1
I have it as number 1 always because of my nostalgia but I know deep down that my favorite would be DC Supervillains if not for nostalgia.

TLOTR at number 1 by a mile. No doubt at all for me. Perfectin in level design, excellent open world, great characterisation and of course phenomenal story and music.

Kinda sad you didn't put The Hobbit Lego, because I find it really great aswell. But tbh, LOTR, SW3, The Complete Saga and HP1/2 are my all time favorites lego games
Maybe if the battle of five armies was finished, but the way it was done? I'm sorry but lego Hobbit isn’t top 10 by far. It’s sad because it was enjoyable.
Well maybe some day in the future they will make something like lego Middleearth: complete saga with giant open world Middle earth and all 6 movies (lotr + hobbit) that would be great if done right
@@Wolltazar yes, they should have waited and included the 3rd film. I think they were going to add it as DLC or something but backed out for some reason. It does stink because it could have been so much better.
Your videos got me to finally, since i played Indiana Johns 1 when it released to play through all the lego games. Steam had a bunch on sale so I got like 9 for like $70 and I am having so much fun.

It might be Lego Hobbit I guess.. since he like it just like the lotr, but it doesn't have the third movie. Which is disappointing

It's a banger
As someone who got 100% on LEGO Dimensions, TWICE (once for year 1, then again after year 2 ended), it definitely cost me quite a bit (nearly $1000 on all the packs I got, plus an external hard drive because the year 2 updates took up that much space on my Wii U)
Been watching a few videos on your channel recently and have to say gunship cavalry is something I completely forgot about, brought back some memories of raging on that level lol

I like it when people really confident with their opinion, but never make a fuss about other opinion, even when it's completely opposite from their opinion.
Dude love the content man have been watching all your videos so many times, I would love to see a series where you review a single game in detail, or another idea is ranking all levels from worst to best in one game. Love the content my guy!

In my opinion, Lego marvel superheroes (the first one) is my all time favourite. It’s so nostalgic and I’ve been playing it since I was a kid
They need to make more Lego games are Lego transformers, Lego fast and furious, Lego 007, Lego the hunger games, Lego the mummy, Lego men in black, Lego Ghostbusters, Lego DC games, Lego he man and the masters of the universe, and Lego tmnt, and Lego Jurassic world 2, Lego Indiana Jones 3, Lego fantastic beasts, and Lego marvel super heroes 3, and Lego avengers 2, and Lego pokemon, and Lego the legend of Zelda.
My views on this differ wildly, but that's probably because I'm a completionist. Lego Batman 2 is really infuriating to complete because of the imprecise flying mechanics. Lego Dimensions isn't a problem with time, it's a problem with actually getting the characters. Lego The Hobbit far trumps Lord of the Rings in a 100% playthrough. My personal (completionist) list:

Yeah, I rate Jurassic world much higher because it was the first game I ever platinumed. I never got bored, the walkthrough guide I used was really good and chill.
When I was like 12 I was always trying to 100% every lego game but I only got 2 done which was lego Batman 2 and lego lord of the rings it was so fun

My fav part of Lego Batman 2 is the fact that you must fight the villains to buy them I used to think that was so awesome
Yeah I love free roam boss fights and this one had a lot of them so I hope next superhero game has the amount of Batman 2 and the quality of DC Supervillains.
The avengers Theme playing in the background just make this list more and more awesome

When I was a kid I wasn’t allowed to play video games that cost money, so we didn’t have any consoles. But we had Ipads, so I played the first level of the complete sage thousands and thousands of times.
My top 5 is lego batman, dc villians, star wars complete saga, and ninjago, and the last one is probably star wars 3 clone wars.
Ninjago is super overlooked, the roster is a great blend of the show and movie, it has tribute bonus levels and has probably the best lego combat so far. Plus i love the kinda open map free roam blend going on
Nice video. Of the 10 games I have played 7 of them. 0f those 7 my favorite is probably lego batman 2 just for the hours I played of it.

I just recently relayed Lego Harry Potter 1-4 and even beat 5-7 for the first time. It's really revitalized my love for Lego, and I definitely want to replay Lord of the Rings. Glad to hear you think it's the best Lego game. :)
Thing with the complete saga for me is why as an old guy in comparison to most lego fans, I like looking at the complete saga separate, for me the vehicle missions specifically were more fun in Lego Star Wars 1. The stuff the did with the vehicle levels in Lego Star Wars 2 and the complete saga some of those were not as fun, as you mentioned some of those were kind of annoying.

I loved Lego Scooby Doo in Lego Dimensions. I wish I could still play it and that they would rerelease it in a similar format to the digital edition of Disney Infinity.

In my opinion Lego Batman 2 is absolutely amazing until you try to 100% it. Getting the overworld gold bricks gets really long and repetitive and often requires abilities that, at least without DLC, only Batman and Robin with specific suits have. And the custom characters have very limited preset abilities, so you can't even use those to mix up and/or speed up getting gold bricks. The acrobat custom character doesn't even have the acrobat ball, just stuff that can easily be bypassed by any flying character, including the flying custom character if you can manage to get it to fly.
I know this comment is over a year now but I 100% the game for some reason and getting the gold bricks was what made me not like playing it at all yet I still did it but the 1 million stud challenge was the icing on the cake

Alright, maybe you guys can help me here. So, I have so many great memories from Lego SW and Lego Indiana Jones games on original Xbox and my PSP back in the day. They were basically the only games I played for a good bit, but after a while I kinda started focusing on different things other than video games and just drifted away from them.
So fast forward to a few months ago, me and my roommate decided to play all the way through the first Lego SW on his GameCube and I kinda fell back in love with the Lego games. The only Lego games I've ever played is the SW and IJ games, and since there are soooo many other great Lego games out there these days for for modern gaming platforms,I am looking to buy a current-gen gaming device in order to play them. I just wanted to maybe get some reccs from you guys on what might be the best system for me.
So like I said, I first got an original Xbox and loved the Lego SW game for that console, then when PSP came out, it became my favorite system to play with because of its portability. I still want a portable option like a Switch, but what might you guys think? Would a Switch be good for Lego games or what else should I look into?
@@LorddOfChaoss I did have a DS Lite for a while but really wasn't the biggest fan of that one. Whether this is actually true or not, I felt like the graphics of the ds were never as good as the psp. DS always just felt like just a notch above a Gameboy to me lol.
The newest console I got was the 360 back in like 2012, which was pretty much when I stopped playing games too. So anytime now that I see a friend playing a new game on ps4 or xbox one, the graphics always really stand out to me since my last frame of reference I really have was a less-advanced console like over a decade ago lol.....damn, i'm only 23 and sound like a dang boomer over here lmaooo
But yeah, my top priorities are probably graphic capabilities and portability, so how do graphics compare bt 3ds and switch? I'm leaning towards Switch, but just curious about how the two stack up. Also, are there any other portable gaming devices I should look into other than just those two?

I ABSOULUTELY LOVED lego marvel superheroes it was probabaly one of the best games ive played as a kid but now since ive beaten its story mode and overall the entire game i switched to lego marvel superheroes 2 currently on story mode and its pretty fun. No regrets buying it

I like it but I doubt Lego would go for it due to the nature of the "hunger games" concept... I could be wrong though.
I kinda disagree with you on Lego Batman 2 flight mechanics though. I recently just started DC Super villains after recompleting LB2 and I kinda miss the old flight since it looked more natural and organic. I also wish custom characters had all parts have 2 customizable colors though still great. Also feel like the custom Lantern rings aren't as good as Lego Batman 3

LEGO DC Super Villians is my favourite but I am a bit older than you it sounds like, so I was 12 years old when the very first LEGO Star Wars game came out. Those were the only ones I got to play as a kid, I got into the others as an adult or older teenager. I grew up watching Mask of the Phantasm so having that as DLC for LEGO DC Super Villians was a huge plus for me, felt like the game was made to appeal to the older comic book fans like me.
