great video! next time you are sewing something that can catch in the presser foot cut a straw about 2 inches in length and put each end on the foot. it blocks the foot from catching threads, yarn and fur. again great video and i hope to give it a try.

I would use Tearaway embroidery stabilizer on the top and bottom of the knitted or crochet material to protect your sewing and serger machines from fibers clogging the internal mechanisms. The stabilizer is not expensive and can be cut into strips. It can be found by rolls in the notion section of JoAnn and also sold by the yard. It can also be ordered online in precut sheets! Beautiful sweater!

One tip on sewing this type of fabric, is to cut a straw to make 2 pieces about an inch long. And put them on the tips of the presser foot. The fabric will not get caught and slid under easily.

I wanna say I love the outcome of all the upcycles, totally beautiful.
One thing I would like to say is that you probably didn’t need to cut the side seams, you just needed to cut out the armhole and line up the side seams of the pattern to touch each other. So your sides would have no joining and no need for the tape at the sides.
