I had on VHS, and then DVD "Live at Pompeii". I bought he surfie documentary "Chrystal Voyager" because they use Echoes (complete) in the soundtrack
And the studio version as all of Side 2 of "Meddle" makes that my favourite Floyd album.
yes, all one song. my favourite version of this is the live at Gdansk, 2006, version. David Gilmour as a solo artist, is joined by Richard Wright. the 'conversation' between guitar and keyboards is strongly highlighted, while the drums are not quite as strong. it's 25 minutes long, but IMO, it's a lot better. the transitions are stronger, and the emotional journey is more of a roller coaster. a lot of PF fans agree with me, too. you should react to it, as one piece. it's also the last time Richard Wright performed live, before he died. it was a great concert. not many people are reacting to David, as a solo artist. he has a lot of good songs. the song, In Another Tongue, live at Pompeii, 2016, is one of my favourites. it's an anti-war song. you should react to it, too. i'm sure you'll like it

the last part with the duet by David and Ricky is a "flirt" between them, David has never played anymore this track after Ricky deaths

The wobbly sound is the bass guitar, being played with a metal slide and a very long delay... the Seagull is David's guitar plugged into a wah-wah pedal in reverse.. sort of a feedback effect... very innovative back then
Nice reaction. I pretty much only watch Pink Floyd reactions and I can tell your setup has improved since I last saw your channel last year. The audio sounded a little muted last time and your background now looks more natural.

Once you start, listen to the entirety, ESPECIALLY Pink Floyd which is meant to be enjoyed from start to finish of an entire album.
Also, there is one universal law and that is you do not pause a David Gilmour solo. Now you know.
Echoes is the whole 2nd side of the Meddle album.
Yep Echoes is that long, its the entire Side 2 of the album Meddle
I always interpret it as the creation of life in the depths of the oceans, the long period of other life before man and a reminder that we all share a common ancestry and by helping others your also helping yourself😊

Haahhhhh!!!! (Huge sigh). That Floy effect. There's no escape. Just a song or two and suddenly the world is a perfect, trouble free place to be.
Recorded in 1972. The footage from on high was filmed from a crane, and then zoomed out a bit to give that view from the Hubble telescope.
Not every Floyd song will sooth the aches away, there are some more aggressive, and heavier songs, out there.
If freaked out is what you're after, then the very early stuff will give you that.
Much of Eloy's music has the same effect on the mind/soul as the space type song as Floyd..
Fabulous seeing you getting caught up in the Floyd effect, your face lost about 5 years as the song got into your soul.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times...when you world turns to shit and you've had a crappy day, you come home, pour a scotch (or similar), or glass of red, drink that offing it down. Then, pour another, woof that down too, then pour a third one and go turn off all the lights. Put the AUDIO recording of ECHOES on. Go find a bean bag or deep leather couch, put your headphones on and sink down into your chair, close your eyes, sip away the final drink, and let the music sooth your soul !!! Yes you'll have to sit through the creepy section, but just let it wash over you without thinking too hard about it. Your patience will be rewarded! The beginning of the Audio version is far better with more of the ambient section starting slower and more disjointed...Awesome!
