I have suffer with PTSD from being in the service for 22yrs. Traditional archery helps me stay centered, focused and allows me to escape. It slows my breathing and my heart rate. I love it.
Awesome man, archery really is a great tool for PTSD. All the things we forget to do with PTSD archery brings together in one package. Good luck to you
Thank you for your sacrifice, glad to hear archery helps! Have you tried ayahuasca ? My friends who also suffered from PTSD have overcome it with this ancient medicine. God bless you and God Bless The United States of America 🇺🇸👍
Amen brother, PTSD myself from Iraq 03-04. I have been blessed with the opportunity to Coach HS kids as part of my class. It really turn my life around by providing purpose.
For the last 25+ years archery has been my medicine/therapy for the anxiety and depression that I’ve dealt with since a small boy. Nothing helps more than just grabbing my bow and going out back and shooting some arrows down range. There’s multiple disciplines in archery as well so there’s always new challenges to tackle when one style becomes stale.
Glad you touched on the most important. I started in 1966 with a 45# Wing and its 57 years later I shoot almost every day. I have given up a lot of activities I love because I can no longer physically do them. I can still shot a bow. As I get older I just drop draw weight. I am back to 45# now.
Archery has been extremely therapeutic for me, it helps with my anxiety and depression. Also having been a rifle hunter for years, I wanted that new challenge of archery hunting. I just picked up a bow this year and I don't think I will ever go away from it!
Bonding time/training with my doggie Jasper. He is awesome. So are you guys! I am new to the sport of Archery and a new sub to your channel. Keep up the great work and may you and yours be very blessed.
Hi, I am living in Romania and I love weapons which is a very big problem because in Romania the laws of using and carrying guns are just like in prison (only law enforcement and ex law enforcement can obtain permit) after long years of trying and obtaining a gun licence the police canceled it because of some airsoft gun mistaken for real (not carried properly to.a airsoft game) so ... after 10000E spent on courses and licence i was right back where i started and got into a depression ... but i discovered The Witchery of Archery and fortunatrly there are no laws (yet) against owning and shooting any kind of bow ... For me it was reforging my skills ... getting to the roots of hunting and tracking , challenging my self to be better , learning the art of camouflage and trying constantly to improve my skills . I still love guns but now I love archery more and more ... it is the place where I feel the meaning of hunt, I feel challenged and I feel relaxed all at the same time.
I just started instinctively shooting in January but have shot bow since I was 11 years old with sights iam now 46 years old don't know why I never tryed instinctively before I love it
Ive just bought my 1st recurve bow...62", 30 lb Deerseeker take down bow here in Australia. Of course, as a kid I made bows to play covwboys and Indians. Last week I stuffed a cardboard box with rags for a target. Started at about 7-8 mtrs ( started close to work on form as per all the videos) and pumped about 100 or so shots into and around the target. Had a blast. Best fun for so long. Totally hooked. Ive already put felt on limbs to silence a bit, and on shelf etc. Should I look at a string upgrade to a flemish twist or other maybe. Or am I getting ahead of myself Thanks for any advice, and ... Cheers from Oz Neil
Would you guys at shatter proof ever offer a thumb ring or leather peice for shooting the thumb release style. I have been shooting a tab by you guys and love it keep up the great work👍
Friendships really can form from two people looking at something. Met a really cool dude while we were checking out the same woman. Darnell's a pretty good guy. Great taste in women too. (it was my wife we were looking at)
Archery for me is more the back thing, I have found thanks to my grandpa I have the same genetically crappy back and sometimes find that Archery is helping my back, I have had the back feel better after if the problem is not the wrong type. The other thing is it is something my brother and I share as hobby that we like to do even if our styles are not quite the same. Hopefully Hunting will be in the future for my brother and I but not right away since coming back to the sport in 2021 since not doing it in 2007--2008.

Hey! I shoot the SAS maverick too!! It’s an AMAZING bow! Worth the money! I was wondering what arrows you are using?
Archery is among the earliest technologies. It puts us in touch with our essential selves.
Tnx bro
This was awesome 😂
Ditto on what you talked about, and more, I love to shoot a bow.

After work, I can go home and shoot arrows in my backyard. The arrows are quiet and reusable and no range fees.
Great video!
What is that in your right hand?? Im new to archery so I was just curious..
That is an archery glove
its fun
Yo! Why you have a Barber Long sleeve on!? I’m a barber are you!? Just curious bc that’s be cool! 🎉
I am not a barber but have a friend named Brett in Florida that sent us this shirt:)
Me and my mate are going to a beginners course. It'll be laughs. I'll win though.

Why didn't you take away the part where you killed the deere? We all know you did it.
Archery is an activity, not exercise.
For some it may be
Tell that to my arms and back hahaha especially the heavier draws
😂
