    the comments and attitudes towards this sister is truly disheartening. She has the best interest of Nigeria at heart and is keen to present many points about the ups downs and what could be, the potential as well as solutions to current problems. Instead of supporting there are many people on this thread bitching and complaining but have not presented a SINGLe solution to help Nigeria actualize its path to become a thriving modern state.

    I'm a Bahamian. I've heard my parents and others talk about the "good ole days." When things worked, when the economy was booming and people found jobs, and achieved a lot more, even without a College degree; but that seemed to have mostly been when we were under British rule or a decade or so post-independence with being in power. After that, things began to crumble, corruption increased, funds were misappropriated, and we have not been doing a good job managing/developing the country.
    I appreciate your discussion. I am happy for IVM but I think you're also referring to areas of improvement, like the possibility of you all being able to manufacture more through the proper use of the steel plants. I think it was a fair take on the situation and the cars should be made affordable for more locals to enjoy.

    Hi Adeola, I enjoy some of your videos but i have some objections to some points you raised here.
    1. There is rarely any car company that manufactures all of its parts (you can ask a Professional).
    Most car companies have suppliers in various parts of the World that supplies them Auto parts.
    I have worked in Daimler (Makers of mercedes benz, etc), they also buy/order car parts from other companies/ countries.
    Porsche also does not produce more than 50 percent of their car parts.
    2. The fact that one does not produce steel does not stop one from importing steel. Many countries import steel.
    3. No matter how affordable the cars are, not everyone can afford them. The civil servants can also not afford the used cars with the 18000naira salary. Therefore, the issue of minimum wage is a different topic.
    4. They dont neccessarily have to produce the cars with generators. Most big manufacturing companies have their mini powerplants.
    I think the new car policy in Nigeria is actually very good.
    Rome was not built in a day.
    Lets support them, buy made in Nigeria. then we can criticize and give our feedbacks/ complains to the companies.
    With the Revenue they get from our purchases, they can improve, make better and more affordable cars.

      She is right, for it to compare to established brands like bmw at least the body hull and engine must be locally designed and made, thats what u call car manufacturing.

    • @chibyk2008
      @chibyk2008 5 лет назад

      @@cedriceric9730 what made guy ou think the did not design it themselves. If someone needs part he would have to design it and tell the manufacturer how he wants it to be. My uncle import some thinks he tell the manufacturer how he wants it design so his own is different from others. I know innoson don't have enough wealth to buy machines that build car bodysuits but I have seen quite enough documentary to say they are manufacturing the cars. Meanwhile Nigeria dont yet produce enough energy to power big industries.

  • @danikovdanikov4903
    @danikovdanikov4903 6 лет назад +4

    Adeola you are not familiar with the way manufacturing works. Research more and see the inter connection of many companies. No company manufacture all its parts. in fact the company that designed a product and sort many others to supply them parts to meet their design is said to be the manufacturer. they are not the manufacturer because they manufacture everything but because the idea and design is unique to them.

    The Tax on imported takumbo is good because it limits pollution and encourages local business.
    Also, there are no companies that make their own parts as well as assemble the cars. Not even BMW. Doing so would not make economic sense. Every company outsources their parts.

    EVEN BOEING IMPORTS MORE THAN 50% OF PARTS ITS CALLED SPECIALIZATION ...IT INCREASES EFFICIENCY

    You speak well, But some of your point are incorrect. No one is perfect But i Acknowledge the fact that you try to make us see some of our wrongs. Many people here are ignorant. You are a visionary, you see things and understand things that our leaders are blinded by. When ever my Mom Speak of the past Nigeria to me. It kills my spirit and i often ask were did we go wrong. When i watch that old age Video you play it put joy in my heart and at the same time sadness in my hearth knowing that this was an old age Glory. WE WILL RISE AGAIN I KNOW THAT AND I BELIEVE IT WITH EVERY BIT OF MY HEARTH. But for us to rise again all Nigerians need to work together like we did back then. Support and Encourage each other to bring back that old age Glory. Nigeria, Even Though you are in your bad days I am Still proud of you and always will be no matter what condition you are in. I have seen many Nigeria made innovation and today i am moved and Encourage by your words. Let us help Nigeria Rise again.

    Insults, unguarded outbursts, i know pass you, you be mumu is the very reason why we giants live like ants. Do you not know, that growth is a process of rising and falling and rising again? We all have cogent points however, the way we put it across is a bit too harsh. Interestingly, we all want the same thing, a Great Nation, we are just not aware of how to get there. But insults and show of brain power will take us no where. If only, if only, if only we can join hands, we can lift this mighty stone. Until then, brothers and sisters, we can only dream. The lady raised some good points of where we used to be, and how difficult life is today, she spoke about abandoned projects. Those are food for thought. Lets ponder on that first before we react in anger and defence.

      well said, I think the major setback with nigeria is tribalism, and jealousy. people in the southeast have been deprived of the oil money that cones from the southeast and the presidency for almost 60 years now. you don't see them complaining. they are the one generating most of the nollywood music soccer and entertainment sector. now they have a car manufacture that's from there too and this girls was jealous here. I'm glad that your are following what's going on there from Mexico and I'm glad they got El chopo. I'm from Houston but I'm also nigerian and I understand the consequences of corruption. hopefully our 2 countries come out on top. thanks

    That's true what she said in the video. Nigeria should invest in getting those steel mills up and running. Imagine how many nearby companies can use the steel to manufacture all of Nigeria and other African demands for steel to build cars, buses, trains and plains. Most important, these mills will be needed to maintain infrastructures. These steel mills should be very diverse and capable of manufacturing all kinds of metal products It will not be good to have to keep paying China to send in laborers and import steel everytime a bridge, railroad or building or roadways needs to be repaired. Nigeria could become run down in about 15 years without self sufficiency. What would happen to Nigeria if China broke off relation. Where would Nigeria get the steel to maintain infrastructures? Self sufficiency is of the utmost importance. In america it was the steets mills that were driving the bulk of the industrial revolution.

To me innoson is good at what they are doing .Now we need many local entrepreneurs to venture in producing auto parts designed or suggested by innoson .From plastics parts , braking system ,seat or even dashboard or car crash testing .In nutshell innoson cannot make everything they need in their products.Nigeria of during the cold war is and will be a puppet nation if applied today

    A simple Toyota product has about 3000 parts and over 1000patents. This means you would have to apply for authorization to use this ideas from their original inventors making it almost impossible.
    You can't manufacture every part not even 10% no factory does. Its always cheaper to out source.

Even mobile phones television etc. innocent motors designs and build the body skeleton and import engines. America does the same thing. China and even Japan.

    Get the steel mills working, invest in some development in major precision machine shops, milling shops and electrical wire and cable manufacturing and shops all run from local and private business and Nigeria will be a lot better off and independent. Start a industrial revolution from within and there will be thousands and stousands of good paying jobs created out of this action. I'm afraid that Nigeria is about to loose it shirt to china spending all of this money on infrastructure with no long term plan to keep it up and running. The government should be more inclined to invest from withing and grant all kinds of business loans to educated business minded citizen to start up these private businesses.

    Your judgement is false. A fashion designer does not produce the cloth matarials, sewing machine, tape , thread: all she does is to buy good materials and cut and sew whatever she designs. Then who do you call a fashion designer since no item for her expect design is not manufactured by the fashion designer.Best shoe makers but their materials , only cut and sew up the shoes.Are they not shoe makers.zzBetter praise people's effort not just condemm.

    Yep...Innocent is re-branding north korean and chinese cars in nigeria. No problem, all car manufacturers do brand cars for america in america. Though the parts are still imported from china and other countries but that decision is based on cheap labour not bcos they couldn't manufacture the parts in america. So, if you are going to push back on this you better be able to prove to me that labour is cheaper in china than nigeria which is not. The parts are being imported to nigeria bcos we lack the raw material and power to run the plants. While I commend innocent for at least being able to convince these foreigners to come to nigeria but the government sucks. The dumb ass government officials are walking their walk of shame bragging about what this man has done. The government and its official should be ashamed of themselves. How about they fix the roads and let people bring cars from wherever they like without having to listen to Nna Innocent brag about the "luggedness" (ruggedness in igbo) of the suspensions that are good for nigerian roads. Come back and brag to me when the leaders have fixed power and have begun encouraging manufacturing of parts in nigeria biko! Fix Ajaokuta steel plant, fix power and roads. Not impressed folks, I'm sorry. Again, more power to Innocent, I commend him. But you will never see enough of ivm cars on nigerian roads bcos they are not affordable or sustainable. Would anyone rather buy the entry level ivm car for 1.5M or import a bigger, more luxury, easier to fix toyota or honda or nissan tokunbo for 1M? The answer is you will do the latter.

    Ajaoukuta complex/Delta steel complex can provide Nigerian companies if not other African nations with the steel needed for any manufacturing automotive, building, bridges or any work that steel is needed. but guess what those in government built it promoted it for a while and killed it hahahahahahahahahaha VIP'S like Fela said.
