Xander is one of my favourite RPers. This show is going to be so much fun with him in the team =]
He always puts a lot of effort into his character for sure. Saw him first on the G4 RP Scoundrels of Waterdeep with B Dave. Found LA by Night because of that.
Xander and Noura have both been a favorite of mine so I’m very excited by this. Between them and Alex Ward in the Anarch game (with great new comers) I think we’re eating well

I think Yev’s actor deserves some credit. I’ve never seen someone so good at acting super normal in the most boring yet simultaneously entertaining way
I don't know how everyone kept a straight face when Xander broke out the double penetration line and Cynthia followed up with the backdoor situation.

I've lost count of the amount of times I laughed out loud during this episode. Manspreading, Fight Club, etc. Xander as Brawn was such a change from his X personna that it actually took me aback. Well played, Sir. Can't wait for the next episode.

Almost didnt recognise Noura with the blond hair and the contacts, she looks absolutely stunning. Seeing Cynthia and Xander back warms my heart. I know nothing about our new toreador but she doesnt seem like a traditional torrie and that alone intrigues me.

I don't get the hype with her tbh, like what was she trying to do by telling a random person she hasn't even talked to to "walk" - how? to where? and why??? Coco's getting carried in this.
Coco seems too much like Nelli G in some ways. I like seeing people play characters who are much different than previous characters.

Brawn is the most 'look at me nosferatu' I've ever seen. Not complaining though. I'm sure he can be sneaky when the circumstance demands it xd

If any character Cynthia is playing ever asks for a phone, do not expect it to work when you get it back. We have a pattern now.
I can’t wait until the casts combine. After the Jasper/X bromance, Alex and Brawn are going to be oil and water.
I'm very interested to see what Kiem is all about. She plays it close to the chest, and I never thought she would be as strong and aggressive as she was. Her delivery of "that's too bad" had me cheering. Very cool! Of course, it's incredible to see the vets back in action with amazing performances.
What an story! Looking forward to the inevitable showdown between Brawn and Rey.

Well Vamily we finally have season 2 of New York by Night and I must say I have missed the By Night series tremendously, for those veterans of the By Night series you will instantly recognise Noura, Xander and Cynthia as Ib, X and Nelli G respectively however the newcomer this season is not unfamiliar to the world of darkness and has played in a game known as Denver By Night with Storyteller Meigh Leigh Damage (sorry if I misspelt any of that) and Shane Easten who you all recognise as my fellow member of Clan Hecata. If there are any moments I missed please let me know and have a good night.

Very different vibe from season 1 but loving it as part of another side to the story. Missing the Amarchs, but very interested in watching the Cammies and what they are bringing to the table.

Just started Chicago by Night with a Camarilla coterie. Cant wait to see how Jason and the players tell a Camarilla story!

love that this coterie looks sooo intimidating while the other look like a happy-go-lucky bunch can't wait for both to meet each other!!

Idk, Isaac is still the most intimidating of them all. Coco has the Lasombra thing going on wich is always intimidating, but I grown used to the Lasombra. Rey and Brawn are actually the most friendly of each group, it looks to me. Serif weaponized her cute girl act. Khalida and Fuego are sisters actually. Kięm is rather not what I expected, hope to see her fleshed out first. I think overall this new cotterie looks more intimidating but still the biggest threat of the eight of them is still Isaac.
I love this two-coterie dynamic in NY by Night - we get to explore both sides of the story, now!
And I see that things are starting to boil, too. With this approach by the Camarilla coterie, they are managing to piss off the Anarchs and potentially coming to a big clash with the Anarch coterie - with Serif now being dead-centered on their sights through her parents. She's likely to be identified as Ravnos pretty soon, and the Camarilla hates them...
I suspect that the Cam don't care as much about the Ravnos in modern nights. They were almost completely wiped out so they're not really a power on a clan basis so it likely comes down to the behavior of the individual. Serif's sire, for instance, seems to be pretty established without having aroused any wrath targeting him (until Coco at least....)
@@SvenTSexgore Not a bad argument, but the truth is that the Camarilla never liked the Ravnos in the first place, who in turn have always been independent and never cared to join. They are almost Caitiff, and will be treated as such.
Excited to see Cynthia back as a Lasombra, she is playing very different character from Nelly and I'm enjoying it. Xander has great energy, if not a bit odd for a Nosferatu, I'm sure we'll find out more about that in the future. Noura is great as a Ventrue and I'm interested to see more of Kiem, the newcomer and odd Toreador. Seeing the veteran actors play different clans and characters is fun to watch. Miss Alex, but this crew is awesome as well.
I'm pretty impressed with Xander. He is really playing a completely different character.

Amazing 1st episode for this season, and a great cast.
I love that it seems like our two coteries have parallels to one another that I'm interested in seeing play out. Brawn and Rey are either gonna be drinking buddies and/or amazing rivals, Khalida and Fuego obviously have blood daddy issues they need to sort out, and having a LaSombra and Tzmitiche on each side makes for an interesting dynamic.
Xander killing it with every line. A joy to watch. Great troupe, can't wait for the next installment!
Nothing but respect for The Scene at the end, where the focus split very democratically and everyone got to do their thing.
I don't know Michelle's history with VTM or tabletop in general, but she more than held her own alongside Xander, Noura, and Cynthia (who I all recognise from the LA series).
I am already constructing my list of connections between the two seasons!
(Also, the dice truly were with Xander for a bit there in the fight, and we can all hope the dice gods let everyone else shine like that as the series goes on)

I saw Michelle before in one of Becca Scott's games (D&D in this case) and it was good, her character was pretty impressive. She is certainly experienced, though I don't know in regards to VtM in particular.

About par for the course for first missions with newbie vampires. Go in to do what should be an easy mission and "accidentally" start trying to break the mascaraed at every turn. Definitely an eclectic batch of characters this time around. Should be fun. I wish these seasons were a little longer. It always seems like you're just getting into the characters when they wrap one up.
Loved S1 with the Anarch coterie. Can't wait to see how a Cammy coterie gets stuff done.

Great to see Noura and Cynthia back at the table! All three ladies in the coterie are looking amazingly 🔥 with their downtown NY fits. They have the city attitude down too. (JC please bring the cast to NYC for a photoshoot and live action session). Xander's character work on this is brilliant. Funny and accurate with his old school NY accent, he is really stealing the show. JC let Coco off easy with the bestial failure, but the gallery drama was intense story telling. Can't wait for the next episode.

I am really enjoying Xander here. Playing a brute with poor social skills who knows he lacks them, and is respectful from that wrong angle.

I've just started the episode, and I immediately like the juxtaposition between how this chronicle starts in the last one. In season one, the coterie meets outside of a dingy nightclub that made its home in an abandoned factory. This season, the coterie meets at a fancy high-roller kind of party at the top of a skyscraper in the heart of the city. In season one 3/4 of the coterie are lower class. In this season 3/4 are seemingly upper class. And I know that this probably wasn't intended, but it's still kinda cool: The outlier in both tries to intimidate the first boss they meet. (Rey with Richter and Brawn with Rafferty.)

I love this episode so much. I enjoyed the first season and I just have a feeling with each season it’s gonna get even better because this looks like it’s gonna be a fun ride just like the first one was. I seriously don’t know how Noura, Cynthia, Michelle and Jason kept a straight face and kept from laughing at Xander being hilarious at time’s during this. Much love!

I think it’s the other way around. I think he got permission to sire Feugo, but she rejected him and fled. So he sired and presented his second choice to save face.

Great episode. I have a little history with the game and with the other seasons. Having said that, I had no idea that there were Nosferatu that could just be out in the open like Brawn. Love his character.
That was often true in previous editions of Vampire. In the newest, 5th Eddition ("V5") presumes that while Nosferatu appearances are disturbing, they are not necessarily so shocking that they automatically break the Masquerade. :)
