"I believe...we're blessed to have been turned..." says the Toreador.
The Nosferatu looks around with a weird expression.
As a Malkavian player, I'm with you Brawn.
Somewhere Jasper facepalmed so hard.
Try being Samedi or a Gargoyle, though Gargoyle it could be true since they forget their mortal lives mostly and if you had a shit life that could be a good thing.
Same energy as Storm yelling at Rogue for wanting a mutant cure in the X-Men Movie lmao
always nice to meet another sane person. :)
@@hankhenry2555 it depends. do you know how gargoyles where created in the first place?
in the dark ages Gargoyles where created by the Tremere not very unlike to the 'fleshgolems' (gouhles?) of the Tzimiske. the main difference is the raw material. while the Tzimiske use humans to create their aberrations the Tremere use other Vampires. depending on the Gargole you want to create you need a different combination of Vampires but allways a Tzimiske. i wanted Guardians(?) so i had to bring a Tzimiske and a Nosferatu. they where cut in half, the oposite halfs where stiched together, put into a cocoon, then the Tremere made a week long some FumbalaShambala and after this week the cocoons opend and voila, tow Gargoles where created.
needles to say, to prevent the vampires from turning into ash they needed to be 'alive' and aware of what is happening to them. so "forgetting everything that happend to them before they where created" is a coping mechanism of this specific clan i guess.
I love Jason rolling for Aisling and his "why'd I even bother"
Khalida offering the safehouse space to Brawn and Brawn just going "I'm Good" and Khalida just looks like she simply KNOWS but lets it go anyway - oh, I love this coterie so much.
Love Jason working "Spray Date" into both coterie campaigns. A good pun needs to be employed often
Late to the party this time around. Khalida says Kiếm sounds like an Anarch but, honestly, she sounds much more like she's heading towards the Sabbat if they ever make contact.
right? i was just thinking the same thing...sounded much more like sabbat than anarch
That sounds right
Oh I love Coco the capri sun blood bag absolutely SLAYED ME :D I adore her xD
*sluuuuurp* 😄
@Антон Боровиков +++she totally was, I might stole the "juice" bag idea for one of my characters
00:13:00
[Brawn] drains their blood. It makes no noise-
Coco: SSLLLLLUURRRPP
😂
Mmmm people juice...
WOD should do a collab with Capri Sun when VTMB2 comes out, for a flavor called Capri Blood Moon (the name of one of the versions). Make it as red as POM but with the flavor kind of like Tropicana's Berry Punch. 🤤
With Becca's excellent portrayal of Aisling, I can't wait to see who they get to play Sheriff Qadir al-Asmai. He was by far my favorite char in the New York series
B.Dave Walters or i riot.
@@TheAzManiac Luis Carazo with a wig could be very good!
@@TheAzManiac Please no. Not him.
@@TheAzManiac I love B Dave Walters, but he'd be a horrible cast for Qadir.
@@oscarlove4394 I'm also a huge BDW fan, but he's the last mf I'd think of for Qadir. I don't think I've really seen anyone who I'd like for him thus far in the By Night series...
Love how Xander makes "you have a fascinating worldview" sound threatening. :D
Khalida: I always think, people can only that cold to a certain point before they warm up to me.
Coco: [disgusted look at Khalida]
Khalida: Don't look so disgusted
Coco: It's just my face
😆
That "resting lick face" again, like Jason put it in the last episode :-)

Well Vamily another great episode from the fletching members of the tower. The special guest for this session playing Aisling Sturbridge was Becca Scott, you can find her all over the ttrpg scene. In L.A. By Night she played the Ghoul Chloe (touchstone of everyone’s favourite sad Nosferatu Jasper), in terms of dnd she played Tatyanna in the Black Dice Society as well as a character from Dimension 20’s The Seven. If there are any moments that I missed please do let me know, have a good night.
Becca Scott specifically played Penny Luckstone on The Seven, the halfling rogue, former babysitter of Riz Gukgak, and absolutely NOT a prospective member of a mysterious rogue guild that definitely does not exist.

Anyone else think it was weird hearing a player reference Jason. "Did we learn anything else from this Jason." I was looking away when Aisling said it, then I looked at the screen all bewildered for a second and was like "Oh, She's a Tremere, makes sense"... then I realized she was talking OOC. I'm ridiculous.
She got a lot into her role 🤣
Mr. Carl, I have loved your storytelling for a very long time, especially how you portray and roleplay your NPCs. Lizzy has truly found a place in my heart for being such a sweet and kooky character. Keep up the great work sir!
Thank you very much, I appreciate the kind words. :)
They are all so good but Khalida always takes the gold star in my books. Class and sass.
Yes Noura is playing a controlling, climbing, daddies girl brilliantly.
Khalida making a point to call Rafferty "daddy dearest" cracked me up for some reason
As an Old World of Darkness player I love watching these stories unfold. I have yet to sink my fangs into 5th edition yet but would love to be part of a story this good. Hopefully one day I can Storytell a game as well as Jason.
I'll be a Storyteller for the first time this weekend and I hope to channel a bit of him as well. Good luck to both of us.
@@InvasorJim101 Always have a backup plan. Your player WILL do the unexpected.
@@Heretic9980 Update: It went well. They liked the one-shot and want to keep playing. We have 2 malkavians at the table... yeah, some unexpected things happened.
Coco looks great this episode. Bravo Cynthia.
I loved that conversation between just Kiêm and Khalida. Each character reveals such nuanced thought and feeling-it gave us sense that each of these characters had thought about these things prior to the conversation we are seeing.
I hope Agathon becomes a regular within the storyline. He is my go-to guy every time I've played Coteries of New york.
Mine was Hope, she was just so much fun. Shame she became part of the machine in Shadows
Isn’t Agathon dead in shadows of New York?
Michelle's (Kiem) outfits are so fire. 🔥 Stylish but also slightly formal and always coherent. The style fits modern gallery artists perfectly imo 😍
34:00 LMFAO!!!
Khalida: okay, what are you doing with that? Are you making a doll?
Coco: 👈 that!
Kiêm: I just like to collect bits.
Coco: why?
Kiêm: it makes me feel "nice"...
Coco: you look like the character on Dexter.
Khalida: (whispering) I bet she's a serial killer yeah.
It puts the lotion on the Kiêm, or else it gets the hose a Nguyen
Coco's makeup is fire!
Cynthia Marie is always on point in het looks. Always.
Her pa deserves an extra pint.
Hands down my fave scenes are Kieim and Khalidas club visit and Coco vs Serif’s father!
Yo Kieim is down right skin chilling.. 😬 like, an odd, demented kind of toreador but you’d never guess, smh but the search for her site adds so much complexity to her character.
Coco has given her character so much depth with her responses and character interactions, her banter with Sirif’s father/sire was 👏 👏 👏 I’m so interested in seeing her develop.
She makes me think of the cartoon character Daria, a bit? With her sarcasm. If Coco met Nellie G.... how would that go? :)
I love how Brawn goes from flexing to fearful in a room with someone like Aisling. He was willing to raise his voice against Rafferty; but with her aura, even Brawn knows to watch himself.
1:19:02 - Edit: Oh wow even when she's talking to Jason, she's 100% on brand throwing Tremere energy at him. That's AMAZING.
Creepy/magical shit is outside his wheelhouse and he knows it. Straight up fight? Look at Airbox. Stuff that gets in your head? Fuck that!
@@JnEricsonx when the Barbarian knows the Wizard/Sorcerer can detonate a building.
@@Darkmage1293 THIS!!
@@Darkmage1293 Hey, when Lizzie threatened him, both Khalida and Coco were visibly "what bitch?"
@@JnEricsonx Lizzie (if I'm not mistaken and they're a Malk) is powerful but not wholly dangerous. A Venture will end your vampire career so fast it's not worth the effort, so backed up with a Lasombra, Lizzie isn't a problem. But the Tremere are a Fort. They operate within and without the Cam. So someone like Strauss or Aislin lookg? You fuck with a HIGH Regent of the Tremere, the ones who warp BLOOD...Brawn and his beast understood fear that night. And all kindred know when to fight or flee.
Lizzie was so excited to earn an actual boon from coco, it was such an adorable moment.
Coco should have said she's the bishop, and only treads on the dark spaces.
This time on Jason Carl's World of Darkness ASMR channel..... 😋
I would pay money to see Nellie react to watching a vampire drink blood from a juice box
Great episode! I think this is the first time we've seen Kiem use any of the clan Toreador powers, namely Auspex, but my doubts that she is actually Toreador remain. I've been getting distinct Ministry vibes all season.
...or Malkavian?
I think she may be a toreador antitribu, but she also seems to have some very tzimisce like tendencies with her habit of collecting hair
Everyone's wardrobes are spectacular. Especially Kiêm's.
Panhard bait was too good :)
Michelle has to keep up a bit. Loving Brawn as always : 3
I love how the Camarilla Coterie actualy gets along so much better then then Anarch one. I expected the opposite.
maybe because the anarch coterie were more emotional
The Anarch coterie was kinda doomed from the jump. The characters had long term goals that were directly at odds with each other. So they naturally had more interpersonal conflict. Also the players in the Anarch coterie were pretty happy to use their powers against each other, which doesn’t really foster trust and camaraderie. The Anarch story was a blast to watch, but that coterie has an expiration date.
These comments are pretty funny in hindsight.
Kîem’s obsession with collecting souvenirs from people and her overall obsession with the human body is quite close to the tzimisce, I can’t help but see her have a tendency towards the sabbat
This episode has been very interesting. Cynthia definitely seems to be trying to push things forward with her sudden web of promises. This is the value of having a veteran player with the newer crew(yes I know Ib and Xander were well involved in LA, but the characters weren't theirs and they often appeared as guests). Cynthia is starting to make individual moves, reminds me of Alex as Isaac.
I enjoy all the characters though and can't wait to see how the story progresses. Kiem reminds me a bit of Serif, we haven't really learned all that much about her yet, but when she does make a move, like crushing the guards hand to make a point, it's always a bit unexpected.
All of these feels so short! It is agonising
While I still miss the first season's coterie, episodes like these make my heart ache less, because damn that was straight fire ❤🔥Not literal as the Beast wouldn't like it, but you know what I mean. The layers, the nuanced interactions, an excellent guest, small bits of lore being fed to us over time, Jason's impeccable skill, what's there not to gush over? Keep being awesome!🩸
they might lose Kiem, not to the anarchs, but to the 3rd major faction
"She´s like a character from "Dexter"." "I bet she´s a serial killer." *cue Kiếm pointedly trying to NOT look like a serial killer* 😀
The NY characters keep popping up! Totally didn't except Aisling here (played by Becca) but I'm glad we're seeing her.
Legendary performances.
Let's see. A lasombra with a preference for "meal prep" vitae? And a Capri-sun reference? Sounds like a certain Washington State vamp. Time to re-watch Seattle by Night season 1 again!
burrito blood centrifuge
The game kinda weirdly incentivizes players to make Lasombra characters who have the bagger hunter type. It’s one of the very few hunter types that lets players pick up a free point of oblivion (the others being graverobber and grim reaper). And if you’re gonna start with Arms of Ahriman, you gotta get two dots of oblivion and two of potence. Also the bagger type gives you an extra dot of humanity, which comes in handy cos oblivion powers can cause stains and the extra wiggle room is useful.
I think it’s kinda weird that the game pushes Lasombra (one of the most ruthless clans) toward some of the least violent hunter types. In the games I ST for, I let my players pick any discipline for their hunter type dot as long as they tie it in to how they feed or they blood resonance they consume most often. Oblivion would be useful to alleycats, extortionists, sandmen, blood leeches, etc. But the creepy abyss powers are a bit of a stretch for making a cleaver’s family or a consentualist’s herd feel more at ease willfully giving up their blood.
"You're not Lasombra, I trust you." I may be offended, but then again the sheriff in my our current game feels the same about my character
"Or even on... love... ugh." Valentine's day is gonna be rough for brawn.
LOVING Kiem! Just her attitude and the way she talks plus her love of imperfection.
after playing coteries of new york I have more respect for becca scott she did an amazing job portraying aisling
😕 You know Lizzie's threat to Brawn was such a great moment and opened up a really interesting storyline. I know she said Ricktor didn't let her but I hope they're not just closing that storyline.
Best Episode this season! but overall great Season, cant wait for the eventual meet up with 1st season characters? hoping!
I just love that they fast forwarded the screechy interval part, it was intolerable.
Hand prints in VTM usually means something reeeeeealy bad.
Btw what is it with Tremere Regents and red trenchcoats?
It comes with the position, like Brujah and leather jackets. ;)
@@suntiger745I’ve got a player at my table whose brujah is a political science professor in his mid-fifties. He wears a lot of tweed and wool. I don’t think his player’s ever put him in a leather jacket. Any other brujah I’ve seen on streams or at a table, though yeah. Standard issue leather jacket sounds about right.
Coco is looking good!
With the right moves and foresight, a pawn can become a queen
I really love the cold ruthlessness of this Camarilla coterie in contrast to the other Anarch coteries
I hope they run into the werewolves of Central park, or a Mage in the high towers of New York.
I have a theory that Kiem is not really a Toreador. I don't know why, but I can't stop thinking about it.
That exchange with Argus at 1:45:00 was a nice bit of banter though a bit of a slightly missed opportunity in terms of rhetoric when he asked Coco what Chess piece she was , when he said Queen , she should have said “how about a Bishop? “ :p lololol - as a wink towards the Lasombra’s history with the Sabbat.
Much as I love the show I wish the sound quality or the subtitles were better. Right now I feel like I'm missing the dialogue whenever anyone lowers their voice.
Please keep the content, Your adventures are so well done, and displayed, that is interesting to watch, even as a VOD, since La. By night, and it is many times better than Seatle by Night. Jason Carl make's a wonderful performance as a storyteller, that i wish i was up to his level, as a player with about 20 years of history with Vampire the Masquerade. I no longer have my physical "Coldery", but i've been playing online , when my life gives a little undead time, but in the meanwhile, you guys fill's me with both the extase and nostalgia .
Aisling my beloved favourite VtM character yasss
Actually I loved that Coco mentioned Dexter hahaha, that was sweet
If there is one thing I can observe and possible predict. Both Anarch and Cam groups will meet. Possibly some PvP can take place, and emotions will conflict.
I can see a POSSIBILITY of defectors for both sides. 2 that come to mind for Anarchs is Rey and Isaac.
As for cams I can see the possibility of defectors from Brawn and Kiem as they seemed very curious last episode and this one from the little sprinkles here and there. I'm not saying it WILL happen, but I love the entertainment of the possibilities!
Since they've said from the beginning that season 1 is the Anarch coterie, season 2 is the Camarilla coterie and season 3 is going to be the two coteries together that's a pretty easy 'prediction' to make XD Also see Rey defecting to Cam and either Kiem or Brawn defecting to the Anarchs (highly doubt it would be Isaac, Tzimisce would be even less trusted in the Camarilla than the Lasombra are. If anything I could see Fuego defect since being Ventrue she's already 'supposed' to be Camarilla anyway)
@@margisama I don't think Fuego joining the Cam unless heavy manipulation, ofcourse the Tzi's are heavily discriminated against but doesn't mean the cam wouldn't want to have one be an enforcer, I only floated the Idea because of how he responded to Anabelles call to action, Isaac has rules, respect and boundaries. He likes order and control. What does that sound like? Ofcourse this may be a common trait for the Tzi's but when push comes to shove I think he will go for control and power, once he has it he won't let go. It's only a theory ofcourse tho 😁
PS. The prediction was more about the defectors, the observation was the PvP aspect which will be fun to see how Jason curriates it!
@@leonardogonzalez5016 Isaac does like rules and respect, but as he views/gives it. It's one thing to have self control and enjoy that, vs someone else having to impose it on you.
@@JnEricsonx Yes, absolutely. It's very much Old Tzimsce courtesy. A lot of the old schoolers got purged when the Sabbat came in to being so it's really nice to see Isaac as a modern member of that form of the Clan.
Might be crowded to squeeze all 8 of them to the table, and that many would be a challenge for any DM.
Hmmmmm
Okay so i just had a thought as I'm listening to Jason Carl's portrayal of Argus. With his accent. His mannerisms. The blonde hair (if I heard that right).

Her Jubliee electronic boom power probably would go through the pen.
It's a ripe opportunity to throw Yev into the mix. I was very resistant to the whole "Yev is cannon" thing because I felt like it was being pushed onto viewers.
But Coco isca prime opportunity to do that in a very natural way.
