I still lack tools for working with masks and their layers in "Develope Persona". I was surprised by the lack of the ability to turn the mask layer on or off, invert the mask, refine the edges of the mask, select only dark or light parts in the mask. Let's hope for what they do in the updates. 😊

I'm planning on buying it but since it's just a hobby I may just stick to open source software like rawtherapee. Very informative video 👍🏻

Luminosity Masking is a subject of its own. Thank you for posting this excellent tutorial I have never used Luminosity before and now find it invaluable. Also thank you for your previous tutorial on the subject. I have found one problem when selecting Mask in AF2 I do not get a drop down menu like you do but, it adds a mask as per ver 1 AF?

The various "live masks" are similar to ACDSee's Pixel Targeting feature where a mask is created through interactive manipulation of specific pixel types. This has been a problem for me since I am looking for alternatives to ACDSee Ultimate.

I compared file size of pic in raw and when saved afphoto , the afphoto format is actually larger than the raw format. Does this mean that by saving in afphoto, more detail is extrapolated?

I am bit disappointed as still bulk raw edit is not included. I feel as I do bulk photography bulk edit option is really important. That’s the only reason I m using Lightroom. One more option I miss affinity is open multiple pic as later in same file. For which either need to stack or will have to place it with no auto alignment option.

Misleading video. They should have worked on raw development instead of adding camera raw with no real updates to the raw engine.

There's a difference between an update and an upgrade. Updates are free. Upgrades are not.

Your video is funny. When you said enermous dynamic range of raw. And when you edit on rgb. The dynamic range is still there and you just ignore that.
