I recommend converting the front to jumper plates. So that the "cheese slope panel" that the headlights sit on Are 7 wide. I’ve tried it and it sort of works. Either way you did a great job!
i think the light need to be wider and the cockpit is sitting too far back. Totally agree with you, this need a total rebuild. But nonetheless, still an entertaining video to watch.. Thank you!
Ferrari F 40 has been my favorite supercar says it came out. I was only a little boy but so excited about that car. I didn’t care that McLaren was faster and all that this car was the first to break 200 miles an hour. I’m definitely going to try your instructions to make this set look even better. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the comment! The F40 is a favourite of mine for sure too! Let me know if you have a go at converting the original set and if you upload photos anywhere 😀
19:10 You could use part 2624 - 2x2 round plate with rounded bottom to attach the plate to finish up the lip under the doors. They're pretty flat and I don't think that they would be noticeable at all. Great build.
The moment I read your suggestion I ran to my parts and tried this in excitement! Alas… there’s two issues. 1. There’s not enough space for the tile as it’s off stud due to the brackets and 2. There’s not even enough space for the inverted round tile, the wheels lift off the ground 😩 Thanks a lot for taking the time to leave a comment though!
The old 930 Turbos were wide body. They were wide in the back. If somehow you could make it 7 stud up front & 8 stud in the rear that would probably look really good. Also if you did 7 stud upfront it might help make the headlights not look so small. Good work mate 👍
Actually, the original set alrady has three pipes (left-right exhaust + westgate out in the middle), made of the 1x1 tiles with "pipe" and the central "pipe" in the middle of the 2x2 rounded plate. It looks pretty authentic.
i’d recommend extending the lights by one stud towards the center, could work with the porsche 2 although it might compromise the authenticity of the model. all in all thoroughly enjoyable vid, always wanted to see someone wide body lego cars. best of luck my guy
I tried extending them at 18:19 in the video but thought it looked worse. To be honest I might redo the whole front end at some point, keep thinking about other ways to get around it 😂
Nice, but only by upscaling the set you still keep the proportions that were broken by 6-wide limits. #2 step should be a proportions correction (windscreen is too backward mover right now) #3 step is the re-shaping. The bigger scale allows to correct all the "bulky squares" that were caused by 6-wide limits. I'm on the 3rd step now, but stuck with the rear hatch (still want to have the engine details visible)...
This guy is SOOO underrated
Many thanks for your kind comment 😊
You should do some marketing for him. Pass out some tee shirts, hats, coffee mugs, etc brah

hey theres 3 exhaust for the Ferrari f40 so make sure to add that detail back😉
Hey and thanks! I’d never noticed that before. The original set only has two so had never thought about it. I’ll have to see how to fix that 😀

I prefer 2 seater speed champion
