Great job, I'm doing also a 8-stud conversion, the only thing I am struggle with are the headlights, the look to small.

First red Ferrari, Lamborghini countach, and the Quatro looked official to me.

Somehow you made a way better looking NASCAR Camaro than Lego actually did. It looks so much better compared to the newest Speed Champions NASCAR Camaro. The new one looks ok but is completely off. This looks fantastic.

I don't mind the turn signals in the car. They are turn signals and indicators. Not the actual headlights. The headlights of an F40 are pop up headlights. They are the stickers after the turn signals. What makes me angry about this car is the side of the car. From certain angles you can see right through the car to the other side.

What your opinion on the 10248 f40 ? Got a new in box one of eBay for stupid money but I can’t wait to build it. I’m not a fancy pants that tried modding thing I just like building the sets.

I have this Lego car set, but I’m gonna convert it like you did that😎

the 911's front and rear bumpers are supposed to be exposed and stick further out than your new interpretation , so your model doesn't look correct , and the rear slope of your 911 is also slightly looks a bit off . I never liked those top plates for the 911's top of the wheel arches , they don't make the 911 look good or sleek above the top of wheel arch lines , neither that triangle slope 2x1 at the rear of the front wing near to window line . I myself changed my speed champions 911 slightly , and got rid of flat plates above the wheel arches , and used the standard arches with no plates above the top of the wheel arch lines . Instead of a triangle at the rear of the front wing which doesn't look right , I myself put small side mirrors on my 911 . On the rear front bottom of the top of rear arch I used the small 1x1 flat round triangle there on both sides . On the sides of the rear roof slope behind the drivers seat position , i used a 1x1 black brick with the hole in the center , and behind that i left the little tiny gaps as was possible when laying down that rear slopes on the sides . That 1x1 black brick on the sides of the sloping roof simulates a real 911 targa turbo's black side strengthened pillars that are on a real 911 targa turbo , and some of the little tiny gap of a hole on the sides behind that black pillar with the hole that I could achieve get simulate some sort of small side window . I left the bumpers as the original , and on the rear bumper I added the triangle brick in white one brick hole in on the rear bumper . The widest part of the triangle brick sticks out at the top with the slope going inwards at the bottom of the rear bumper . As with the original real 911 turbo , the rear bumper has the two big rubber crash protectors on the rear bumper . So the miner changes i have made to the original size speed champions 911 , the slight changes I have made to mine , make it look better than it originally did . The original 911 turbo though needs those stuck out bumpers as is on the real 911 turbo , and targa turbo .

I have no doubt that between the Lego community, the 'errors' on Bruce will be rectified, because this deserves to look the best it can, just surprised they didn't wait until next year to release it, with 2025 being the 50th anniversary!

Here my solution to fix the headlights, get 2 2x1 brackets facing up only 2 studs on the side put them on the 2x4 tile the get 2 2x1 tiles and put then on the brackets.

I feel like Lego was trying to make the shark look “fake and mechanical” like it does in the movie.

At the end of the day people it’s LEGO !! They have done a great job with it and I will be adding it to the collection. The only beef that I have is there is no rifle for Brody, yet quint has the machete. In a world where knife crime is rife it makes you wonder why they would include the machete and not the rifle 🤷🏻 Pixar did it with Woody, let’s create a cool cowboy character but we won’t give him a gun because it’s for kids. These LEGO kits are aimed at adults. Has LEGO gone woke as well ?

People are too judgemental of this. I want to remind you, we went from blocks, slopes, and even new peices designed for these cars. It doesnt look pitch perfect, yes, but for lego, this is a amzing build.

Agree on the figs man they look so good! Even though hooper doesn’t wear his beanie often, i think the inclusion makes his figure really stand out. And i think the awesomeness of the orca design made me overlook the downsides of the shark design because i didn’t think about these things at ALL at first😅 Great video!

The cuteness of the shark doesn't bother me. Did anyone complain when Funko made a cute version of Bruce? The tail and dorsal fin do need to be fixed though. The original ideas submission had those designed better. That is the beauty of Lego though, it is easy to MOC parts up, especially when you can already see how the original Ideas version of Bruce looked.

The Tan version was the designers first submission. It received 10,000 votes but was not accepted. The white version was the revised (second) submission.

Well TBH LEGO makes almost everything look cute

You talked about its pectoral fins but not the most iconic fin from the film--the dorsal. The original design had that down perfectly. Lego chopped the top off of it and made it flat. An easy fix but it just shows how they weren't really paying attention when they redesigned it. I'll be buying the set but I'll MOC my own Bruce.

I very much like this set. It looks great and has a nice look for display. Minifigs are perfect imo. About the boat, i kinda prefer the ideas submission, idk why but it just looks better for me. Shark is fine but i prefered the tailfin on the original submission. Overall i will get this set 100%, good build and i do not mind the cuteness of the shark. I love see puppies. Waiting for review <3

I'm just happy that lego is using fully transparent blocks for the engine cover and windshield, I think they look better than the trans black pieces for Ferrari cars.

I was quite excited for a new F40, but look how they've massacred my boy. It looks like one of those Pontiac Fiero kit cars.

I think it looks pretty good overall, it's definitely got better proportions than the original and the rear assembly looks interesting too, really want to see how that was achieved. The headlights are certainly an interesting take although I'm still not too sure about them personally, so I'd say I'll wait until I have the set before passing judgment. I have seen moc builds utilize 2x2 slopes or that curved 3x2 (part 80177 I think) that has been used on other SC sets like the AMG 1 with a custom F40 headlight print, so it's quite peculiar that the designer didn't take that route. I have seen some comment on the lack of popups, but on a model this scale I can excuse it since while I have seen some mocs do it, they end up trading overall stability for the function. Since these sets are typically aimed at kids while also subtly adults, Lego as a company tends to value the stability more, thus causing the restrictions that make pop ups in this scale hard to achieve without compromising that whole "playability" aspect. So far I like it though, I think this is a huge upgrade from the 6 stud set and is a good display of how the shift positively affected the series, although I do wish this car had the same gimmick the original one did where you could change the ducts, spoiler and so on to make it the competizione. I feel that would've been both a fun callback and a nice way to make the model a kind of 2 in 1 without _too_ much extra effort and a price increase.

Maybe you could use a 1x1 corner panel in transparent and put it on its side with snot. Like they did with the mclaren F1. Or just simply use prints😅
