Experience does not somehow grant you skills, either way, Kong has been fighting Skull crawlers way before Godzilla was literally born, so let's not talk about experience here. The difference is that Godzilla has had fights with more powerful beings while Kong has not.
Godzilla is a lizard, he does not have the mobility that Kong a humanoid Gorilla has. Additionally, Kong is clearly smarter and more skilled in-terms of fighting style versatility. Like don't come out here and tell me that a lizard who can shoot nuclear blast is more skilled than a monkey who can wield weapons. Either, you've never gotten out of your mom's basement or you are a 9 year old.
It’s a cool hypothetical but kong needed all the buffs he gets in this movie to stand a chance. Without the things it grants him, (the axe and the sudden equality in his size to Zilla) he’d get flattened pretty much instantly
