Tbh I just really love the design they gave Godzilla in GvK. It's not all soft and rould like in KOTM but it's not like the trispikes of G14 either. It's a nice balance they've struck between the two to make for a ferocious Big G. Also like Kong's design, as it fits his personality in the film, being plenty old, grizzled and proud, and yet having his fair share of intelligence.
Also good to see Kong finnaly shred his Prince status for King, n stand alongside our Big-G against Mecha-G. 3 of my most beloved in the Monsterverse, n if all goes well, we're only just getting started into the re-invented monsterverse.

It's debatable,but how Kong matches against Godzilla perfectly is that he's got a gateway to higher intellect in making weaponry(even though Godzilla has the same,but in his own variant).Let alone,the monke's built to punch jaws off inferior kaiju and has incredible grip strength.
Also Kong is more agile than Godzilla and will use that to his advantage. Whilst Godzilla is slower but is a heavy hitter with a range attack.
You’re forgetting about Godzilla’s durability. Kong can’t break skin that Nuclear Warheads couldn’t scratch. Kong has no hope.

Godzilla isn't walking armor either,and both can vary. You cannot tell me that a giant relative of the ancestors of homo-sapiens,who was a growing monkey killing off horrific skullcrawlers like The Big One that were as big as him in the 2017 Kong movie,can be beaten by a massive radiating short snouted lizard.Let alone,Kong isn't stupid enough to go guns blazing if he needed to come back for a second round cause if you looked closely enough in *his* movie,you'd actually see that he went apeshit with massive turbines like as if it was Kratos using the Blades of Exile. So idk where in your mind do you think Godzilla's a clear winner for just being a walking reactor,but his composition in evolution is different in comparison to Kong's.Kong is fortunately blessed to have intellect,so he'd find a way to crack him open without getting mortally hit.Then again,what do I know?They never won a fight against each other in '62,and neither will there be a clear victor. It could be anyone's win,and that is what makes this upcoming movie a seller.
