  • I traveled to our local Walmart to see Hulk Hogan.
He was promoting his new beer. “Real American Beer”
He was only scheduled to be at this location for 1 hour….way too short in my opinion.

You are probably right. I saw it was being advertised as a light lager . Not one of my favorite beer styles. I’d be interested in tasting one, but I’m not going go out of my way to get up 12 pack.

I pretty much knew as I was driving there that there was a very good chance that I was not actually going to be able to get a picture with him or his autograph. I had heard rumblings that people were lining up three and four hours ahead of time. If there is any blame to be given here, it’s with the promoter of this event. The Hulkster was only going to be staying one hour at each of the locations. From what I was seeing on social media, he wasn’t rushing people through that line. He would take his time and answer questions. Take multiple pictures and sign multiple autographs. I’m thinking if he got through 200 people, that would’ve been about it. Hundreds more were in line.

Sad that the Hulkster couldn't even be bothered to roll down his window and wave to all those people who came to see him! I'm also surprised at that turnout on a weekday. There's one RUclipsr I watch who often says that no one wants to work anymore, so maybe that can explain it. Doubt the beer is worth the price anyways. Can't wait for the next video!

I guess that’s the thing I was most disappointed with. It would’ve taken zero effort to have the windows rolled down and just wave at the people lined up in the sun trying to get a glimpse of him. Every place he is stopping is only capable of letting a couple hundred people through in that hour. Hundreds of people left our Walmart without ever seeing him. Oh well… Life goes on. And you are probably right about the beer. If somebody buys me a can one day, I’ll drink it.

He’s a goof anyways. I’d prefer to have your autograph hah. Great video regardless, Rob!

He definitely is an animated… cartoon like character. I’m guessing I wouldn’t be able to take more than a couple minutes with him before I would be say… well, I got to run…

Hulk was such an icon back in the day. I've heard accounts from other wrestlers that don't paint a great picture of him which is sad to hear. They say never to meet your heroes, I guess.

Yes, back in the day he was the man. He was on everything and had lots of endorsements. I can imagine a person in that business needs to really put on an over the top public facing persona but behind the scenes I bet they are absolutely terrible to work with.

Dang…that’s honestly unfortunate you didn’t get the chance to meet the Hulkster…
But all things considered, glad to see it didn’t put a damper on your day Rob!

Yes… when I left my house, I was hopeful I would get to meet him but was thinking I was getting there too late. At first I wasn’t going to make a video but then thought… why not. It’s still a good day.

I've heard of this bbq sauce called "the best bbq sauce you'll ever taste" being carried at Walmart, did you see any while you were there?
Btw, I know some RUclipsrs would get angry and blame others for missing out on the Hulkster. Even I need to remind myself sometimes that things just don't go your way. Glad to see your positive attitude.

Nope, didn’t see any of that sauce. The main blame for not seeing the Hulk is with me. If I REALLY wanted to see him, I should have lined up at 8:00 am. It is too bad that his visit was only scheduled for one hour. The people organizing this had to have known hundreds and hundreds of people would show up.

Yes, they had a very large turnout there that day. I think the Hulk went to one or two other Walmarts and also another big grocery store called Woodmans.

Oh no, is Rob a MAGA fanboy like Jack? Bummer

Much of my youth was spend enjoying Hulkamania… nothing to do with MAGA. I had no idea Hulk was a Trump guy until the Republican convention. Great thing about America… you can support the wrong person and no one can tell you that you can’t.
