Thank you so much for this! Two days ago, my Samsung Notebook 9 that I've had for almost three years wouldn't shut off when unplugged. When I'd plug it, I could finally turn it on and the battery would read 0%, no matter how long it was plugged. After doing a bit of research and running a battery health check (LION battery had been through 900+ charging cycles), I was able to determine the battery was past it's lifetime and I needed to get a new one. The problem was I had no idea how to remove, much less reinstall a battery in a closed computer like mine. Worse off, it a first glance, an untrained eye like mine thought the battery was sodered to the motherboard. As a student, I don't have much money and the new battery was already a $42 weight. Thanks to this video, I was able to replace the dead battery with a new LION battery of the same model, and now my computer is working perfectly again! Spending $42 dollars on a new battery was definitely better than hiring someone for $100+ or even spending $1200+ on a new computer.
Sir I have a samsung laptop from 2012 and I've used it for 10+ years. It is not charging for 2 days i checked the battery and the charger there is no problem in the battery or the charger. The adapter receives power but it doesn't get in the laptop I don't know what happened to it. It would be a great pleasure if you could help me out, thank you.
I bought a supposedly new battery replacement on Ebay for an old Samsung Notebook Pro 9. It charged up full - the first time. When I did the the charging a second time, the charge indicator light began flashing and alternating colors from green to red - and the charge level stayed stuck at 20 % after hours of charging.
@@lapfix yeah, it always loosens after atleast 1.5 years using a new mobile phone device, and i have to order a new charging connector board from ecommerce site to replace and make it like a new one.
@@lapfix laptops which do not have a dedicated barrel changing port shouldn't be bought. At least barrel ports are double durable than smaller USBs. And charging pin can be rotated 360° if it is 90° angled.

There can be damage to the DC Jack area (where you plug in the adapter) or can be a board issue
