Nice video - too the point. My notebook wouldn't take a charge so at first I thought it might be the cable. But after getting a replacement...still no charge. So after reviewing your video my next step will be ordering a battery and following your steps. Thanks.
Thanks for this! its always nice to see exactly how its done. My battery also was missing the top screw. I had to drill two screws, as they just would not turn and broke two screwdrivers. But the laptop is working like a champ, and the old battery was bulging hugely on one side. Not enough that it had pushed out the keyboard that i could tell, but after removing it, it was 30% thicker from the bulging on one side.
I have a really dumb question. I own this machine, I love it, and I can't find anything close enough to it that I want to upgrade to. Is there any way to put a new CPU in there? Even if the motherboard had to be replaced or whatever. I realize that's basically every component, but I love the keyboard and screen, I just want to upgrade CPU and RAM. @@crockich44
The top of my stylus snapped off too! It's hollow plastic on that part though, so superglue can fix it up good as new. I also had no top screw on the battery, and had the same bulging issue. I guess these are all common issues, thank you for the video! My battery replacement crapped out after 5 months, and the original one lasted a few years. Do you still have this laptop, and did the new battery last for a while? I wonder if I got scammed by some shady seller.
Thank you so much for posting this! i have exactly the same problem with my Samsung laptop today!! Do you mind sharing what replacement battery brand is good to purchase? any issues with your replacement battery so far?
Thank you so much for the video! I was going to pay Best Buy $60 to replace my battery when it took you just about 8 minutes to do it yourself! Thank you so much for this! How do you clean the fans in the laptop? I’ve been having some heating issues and the computer gets really hot but I’m not sure as to how to clean the fans
@@crockich44 Would I just blow the compressed air on the black fans or should I do it from the outside? Sorry for the dumb questions I've just never tried to do these things myself and I don't want to mess it up haha.

Other than removing the S-Pen is there anything else we need to do first? Like backup files or anything? I know changing the battery *shouldn't* affect things like that but is there any chance? I was going to have a professional replace it for me but if there is no chance I'm going to screw anything up too badly I'll just do it myself.
Having an issue on my notebook 9 pro running windows 11 where it will die at 20%. I replaced the battery and it is still dying at 20% charge. I did a battery calibration and a reset of the windows software and still the same issue. Battery report shows the new battery is at full capacity and is now at 5 cycle counts. Any tips on how to fix this?
Hmm. First I would check for any windows updates. If fully updated you may want to back up your data to the cloud or an external drive and just do a fresh install of windows.
Yes I did that, updated everything, made sure all the drivers and windows 10 was reinstalled and up to date. Cleaned up anything, took it apart... Im wondering if the board on the powerbutton side could be the issue. Not sure really where to start, also don't know where could get the exact part
My computer has the same problem. It only works with the charger connected while it does say it is 100% charged. Cory, did your computer turn on and worked fine after this battery replacement?
This video helped me replace my ole 2017 Notebook 9 Pro battery without calling on Samsung as of today. You are saving us old owners out here. Peace.
Awesome man. I'm glad to hear it.
Battery stopped charging about a month ago. Got the brand replacement on ebay and watched this as a guide...thanks for the vid!
Glad to help

You should be totally fine. The data is stored on the SSD which won't be affected in any way
I get it's for safety but would've been helpful to see how exactly you unplug the battery cable
You just pry it up. It just snaps into place
