I just replaced the CR1616 with a CR2032. Removed the connector from 1616 and fixed it in the 2032 with electrical tape (care with polarity and not to short anything). This should last a decade... Red is + / Black is -
@@2106jmc What do you mean? He replaces the CMOS Battery in the video. It is the same thing. I just changed it to a bigger battery (with same voltage). Laptops tend to use wires with plugs, but some will use the plastic retainer (more common in desktops). This is NOT the main battery of the laptop. Some laptops do not have a CMOS battery (Macbooks for example).

Have a question plz. Have the same laptop. It turns on , shows the logo and turns off again and restarts. Wondering if its the battery issue? Coz i have done all the other ttroubleshooting except bios. Ram is on board and i haven't touch that either

Did it ever start shutting off by itself on you? I can't figure out what's causing it. It would turn on then shut off after 5 minutes or so
