This review was surprisingly well done. Covered all the points of interest, but kept it not too long, not too short. This is the first MobileTechReview video I've seen, but Lisa, you know your stuff. Awesome.

Your reviews are always very informative and comprehensive. However, I'd LOVE to see a new feature added to them. I think you'd better sit down for this though, as I'm sure there will be plenty of dissenters. Okay, here goes. In addition to everything you cover in your reviews, how about booting the laptops from a Linux live CD/DVD/USB stick, and seeing how it functions out of the box without installing it. My reasoning is that, like myself, there are many people who prefer to use Linux rather than Windows. In May of this year (2014), I bought a HP Envy Touchsmart 15 (as you featured on your channel a while back). After making the system restoration USB stick in case I ever want to sell it in the future, I can restore it to factory condition, I then wiped the hard drive and installed Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon Edition on it. Everything worked fine, with the exception of the Beats Audio system. There was sound, but it wasn't anything like it should be, and is in Windows with the Beats Audio software & drivers. However, after installing the alsa-gui-tools applications, and tweaking the audio pins with HDAJackRetask, it now works perfectly ...and dare I say, sounds even better than it does under Windows. Not every laptop/desktop pc is so amenable under Linux. Most things nowadays work just fine, but occasionally things such as wireless network cards don't play ball. That's why I would love to see a Linux test featured in your reviews, as it would give folks an idea of what would be a good choice of laptop to purchase with a view to running Linux on it. I would suggest running a Linux Mint or Ubuntu live disc, but you can decide which one (if any) to use. I hope you'll at least consider this, and hope even more that it can be implemented in your reviews. Thank you and keep up the good work. Oh btw, I'd welcome your feedback on what you think of the idea whether for or against it. :)

Brilliant review, I have to say it's actually the best review of this computer I've been able to find on RUclips. I really wanted to see the "real" color of the UX303LN, because of people complaining it's like pink-ish aluminum. With your review I now know that its color is great as well as the overall quality, thanks Asus! I'll go for the non-touch screen because it has a mat finish, that is way more comfortable than the glossy touch screen (at least for me) Thanks again Lisa !
THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS REVIEW LISA!! I'm getting this laptop next week and I really appreciate you taking time out of your day to make this review! Thanks!!! :)
I love your reviews. I bought this laptop this week based almost entirely on this review. Its great how thorough the reviews are, and the way Lisa even shows off how upgrade-able the laptops are is a HUGE bonus to her reviews.
Needless to say, the Zenbook pwns the Air. OS X just isn't a compelling enough justification anymore, especially in light of Windows 8.1/10. And I say that as a MacBook Pro Retina 15" owner. Word is that Apple WON'T be upgrading the specs on the Air any time soon, either...
Your argument is invalid... Please enlightening us why so you might ask? - Word is that Apple WON'T be upgrading the specs on the Air any time soon, either... | There is a new macbook air on its way ? didn't you know ? - And I say that as a MacBook Pro Retina 15" owner. | invalid argument - OS X just isn't a compelling enough justification anymore, especially in light of Windows 8.1/10 | It's a lot better optimized for the hardware which you also can see on the battery time with is about twice the zenbook(look up the reviews). You won't see this reply because I've already blocked you. *plonk* Into the kill file, troll, and the Internet black hole of death, never to be seen or heard from again.
Great review again Lisa! The issue on yellow color was also discussed by a buyer in Amazon and his review, it really bothers him alot after buying the unit plus the battery life which is 5 to 6 only even without browsing the Internet...
Hi! I saw you today when you were in your car on the East side of Plano (near Lowe's and Walmart). I have known for some time that you must be in Plano because of the location of the weather on your mobile devices. I'm a huge fan, please keep the videos coming!! If I see you in person around town, I'll say "hi."
i kinda regret buying this laptop back in 2015, bc now my standards for an upgrade that also will have to last 6-7 years are astronomically high. how is it that this machine has a better port selection, better upgradability/repairability than like all of apple's offerings and many windows laptops in 2021?
Hi Lisa. Great job, as always. Love the new intro, by the way. Just like Android and iOS, you do a great job of "modernizing" your interface. Always a class act! One point of exception: the "yellow on battery" issue. I have a Samsung Ativ Book 9+ with the same screen as the 3200x1800 version of this and after applying the patch supplied by Samsung, I find the difference in the fidelity of the bright yellow to be so modest that I doubtfully would notice it if it wasn't pointed out to me, and I have not had a laptop with a display with less than 80% sRGB in 5 years - and most with over 90%. Btw, whatever mustardy look the screen may have at all is eliminated by dropping the brightness level one notch down from highest. Then there is no visible difference. As compared to the infamous "orangegate" issue with the HP Envy 15 and Sony S-15 of two years ago, I think this is a very minor aberration. Also, I get 9 hrs battery life from my AB9+ with Core i7-4500U cpu, so it doesn't appear that it takes very much off runtime to "drive those yellows." Still, fantastic review and what a marvelous piece of kit this is. If I had one thing that would be useful to add to your reviews - or at least to your site - it would be the issue of quality control. The Asus UX31A was just a superb Ultrabook - arguably every bit as good as this one - but for the first 6-9 months of production it had a return rate of near 50% (based on customer reviews in Amazon, Newegg, etc. Even more frustrating is what Thinkpad buyers have been experiencing for the past 2 years, when the vaunted TP has fallen to initial quality levels to make HP and Dell feel proud! I know you have to live off of advertising revenue, but of course you need loyal "eyeballs" to sell to those advertisers, and if there was some way for you to have a "dog whistle" to indicate that people should check user reviews to learn about the quality control especially on new models, you would be doing folks a service. Still, your work is unmatched anywhere and you are an unsung hero of tech lovers everywhere!
I was wondering what your opinion of between this and the Dell 13 7000 13.3' which I also watched your review on. I am not very savvy om this kinda thing and so unsure atm they both seem pretty good. Thank you for any help uou can provide. (oh and sorry the asus I ha e option of getting says its the 303ua-c4037T which seems to be the one you have reviewed here but I cant find what difference would be) thanks again :)
Forgot to ask a few questions, and I apologize that I'm asking so many. Have you tried any battery tests? If so, were any of them close to 8 hours? Also, how is heat management and the frequency and loudness of the fans coming on? And how would you compare the track pad to the Air's? Thanks. Lastly, I think it would be interesting if you made a video of Windows 8.1 vs OSX Yosemite. I'd like your take on those two as you always have reasonable and detailed opinions on everything.
4gb memory soldered onto the mainboard =/ if you 4gb stick is bricked -> get a new one, BUT if the soldered 4gb are gone -> ux303 RMA =/ thats the only negative point here ... anyways, thank you a lot for the great review! best on ytube and the web! PS: i bought one ... :D
When will you post the written review? I'm on the verge of buying either the Macbook Air or the Asus UX303LN. According to Notebookcheck, battery life is similar, however I've heard from many a user that battery life is only about 7 hours on average with the Asus. I need a conclusive comparison ;)
I am coming from an iMac moving to Windows. I am already familiar to windows 8.1 and looking for a powerful yet reliable (in terms of battery life) for school. I am a light gamer but use programs such as GIMP, AutoCAD and Microsoft programs. Would you suggest the Asus Zenbook UX303 LN for these circumstances? If not what other lighter and
For everyone who is considering purchasing an Asus - DON'T. You will save yourself a whole lot of trouble, time, irritation, and wasted money to fix this machine. I have an Asus. Hinges broke six months after purchase. Countless people have experienced the same problem. Actually it’s not the hinges that break. It’s the little plastic platform the hinges are screwed on, that breaks, which is flimsy. Yet, they consider it our fault. On one hand they say we mishandle the machine, on the other they throw in your face - "It's a known issue. Why did you buy" This is for you, Lisa - I asked you to address this issue. Someone else did as well. You ignored us both. You may say you review the system not the machine overall. To that I say - NOT true. You had no problem mentioning that DEll tested their machine's hinges by closing and opening it 20.000 times. Why, I ask you, are you speaking only of the positives aspects? Why are you not addressing the pressing issue of the hinges? You are supposed to do a service to the customer, not to the manufacturer. Why are you misleading those who go by your evaluation of the product and trust your integrity when reporting? I have no confidence in your evaluation. If you "missed" this problem, how many others are you covering up on any given machine. Shame - you are so knowledgeable - but decided to do a disservice to us. You should reevaluate the purpose of your evaluations and service. Who are you being loyal to? Not the customer. That is evident.
Thanks Lisa for such an informative review. Could you please help me to decide which one to pick for my son's graduation? Which one do you think is better, the UX302LA or UX303LN. Thanks Lisa, hoping for your reply.. :)
Dear Lisa, I'm seriously considering the UX303LN which I can still buy. However I am concerned about the screen, firstly it being a high gloss touch screen, secondly the 1080p screen is overkill and too high resolution rather than a full HD IPS and lastly the mustard yellow colour issue. For these reasons I have been considering the older & 2nd hand UX32VD. Would you be able to comment on the all around performance of the older UX32VD compared to the UX303LN? Would be much appreciated! Thanks Joe
Hello Lisa, thanks for the review, I really enjoyed all your videos. Which notebook would you recommend being a great horsepower. The Zenbook 301La or Zenbook303L
If you need horsepower- CPU speed particularly, then the Asus Zenbook UX301LA has the faster full mobile CPU. It's Iris 5100 graphics aren't quite as fast as the UX303LN with NVIDIA GT 840M graphics, but not that far off. The UX301LA does cost considerably more than the model reviewed here though.
Is this thing supposed to be tailored to compete with the Macbooks? It certainly seems like a nice little computer. I'm assuming this can handle higher demanding gaming than my current Toshiba Satellite laptop? That would be a nice experience
MobileTechReview Hi Lisa, I'm currently looking for an ultrabook and was just wondering what one of your personal favorites was or any recommendations you might have. I just want to make sure they have a nice responsive keyboard and trackpad with great battery life that can be comparable to macbook air. I like what the air has to offer but I prefer the Windows OS myself. This zenbook seems to be a strong contender.
***** Thanks so much! Yeah, I was thinking of getting a an evo 840 ssd as well because I'm pretty sure 128 is too small, hopefully 256 is enough. I plan on putting office on there and maybe a couple light games if it can handle it. I was looking at the lenovo yogas as well but I keep hearing horror stories of their network cards...the last thing I want is a laptop with endless connectivity issues..
***** Wow this sounds pretty perfect for me haha. Thanks so much for taking the time to give your input. Do you do happen to do anything that might push the laptop to the limits? Multiple chrome tabs with other programs running in the background? Or perhaps any sort of casual gaming? Oh also you mentioned going back and forth between normal and vivid settings, Which one do you prefer? Does the vivid setting make the colors just appear more vibrant?
Thanks, Lisa, for this review! I´m very interested in this ultrabook. Can you tell me please the battery life of the Zenbook LA Model? By the way, i hope you may do the review of the asus zenbook 305. Can you tell us if this ulktrabook will arrive europe before christmas? thanks Lisa! Keep up the good work!!
HeroProductions I'm trying to decide between this, the XPS 13, and www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YR6BMS2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 right now.
+Epitaph64 The UHD version of this laptop has had some yellow tint issues with the screen in the past. If you buy this, make sure you're getting the 1080p version.
Hi Lisa, Were you able to test if the msata slot is capable of handling 128-512GB of storage and can be used for additional storage for the unit? I plan on expanding the storage this way instead of replacing the SATA SSD.
Lisssaaaaa! I'm confused! This video says its for the 303 but you introduce it as ux31la so which is it? Microsoft store has the 303 but i don't think its the one you're reviewing even tho your title says yes? Please clear up my confusion- ty!!! BTC
thanx! confusing cuz the microsoft store comes up when u search the one smokey brown aluminum lid cover, but THEN the listing itself is the gorilla glass one, so i was totally confoozled! BTC
Hello Lisa, thanks for the review. Do you personally recommend the ux303ln version with dedicated graphics. I want ultra book that has the portability macs offer but has good graphics for video editing.
I love your reviews, but you are wrong when you say that skyrim will run on ux303ln with 35-40 fps on low. I own the ux303ln and I play it on full hd with high-medium setting with an average of 45-50 fps, which is really a huge difference.
You should do the HP Stream 14 notebook. It's not an ultrabook. It retails for $299. It had an AMD processor, and is an entry level Windows laptop. It also looks like a MacBook pro!
I've got a UX303ln (the 3K version) and I think there're some problems with the calibration of the display since I find that it cannot output yellow accurately (it appears brownish yellow)...Other parts of it just works fine.
Hello Lisa, I'm in the market for a laptop that will work well with photo editing and video (possibly 4k editing) and am wondering if you could make a recommendation for me. I am in no real hurry to buy as I want to make the right choice. I have been looking at everything from the zenbook to Macbook Pro. I am primarily a windows user though and would prefer not to change. I would go as high as a 15.4" screen. I do like the ability to upgrade components like RAM, SSD, and in the end would like something that is sleek and super powerful. My budget is $2000 CAN. Do you have any suggestions?
+Cupo java I am look for a similar laptop for myself and weight/size important for me as well since I am done with my 17 beast. I also like the UX501 but the 3.2 pounds is crazy lite. What did you end up going with by the way?
I was thinking of getting that also, but I don't really like how the keyboard is off-center. But the battery life isn't great. However it has a great keyboard and is crazy lightweight. Did you go with a 4K screen or one of the others? Right now I only can do 1080p with my GH3. Can you tell me your configuration?
Calvin Lewis Got the 4K. I knew full the battery life was not good but I'm OK with having it plugged in most of the time. It's the GS60 Pro, 16GB RAM, Intel Core i7-4720HQ CPU @2.60GHz? He Force CYX 970M, Windows 10. Good luck!
Hi! I bought the ASUS Zenbook UX305CA but I plan on returning it. I was just wondering whether you had some insight on the differences between the UX305 and UX303. Concerns with the UX305 for me include: a horrible trackpad, very stiff and doesn't register my finger taps. Also, the sound quality is very poor + quiet, the graphics cant keep up with the processor and often crash, and overall performance is laggier than my 5 year old $400 Toshiba haha.Does the UX303 improve on any of these concerns? I love the look + build, and its also very lightweight. That being said, I'm not willing to spend $1200 and sacrifice so much performance. THanks!
How does the keyboard, build quality and battery life compare to the Zenbook ux32a? I'm tempted to get another but I was kind of disapointed with the last one.
Hey guys or Miss Lisa of MobileTechReview has the *SCREEN'S yellow tint* been fixed yet in this line? Will they ever? I am on the fence on getting this or MacBook Pro or Air...
hey lisa, just a quick question? I have an alienware 14 and I wanna trade it in for the asus ux303ln because I want something more portable and I don't want to sacrifice too much on my gaming, but im a bit worried . I keep hearing and reading about problems with the ux303ln, in terms of the resolution and colors. Some say that the games play in a window mode at the center of the screen due to the high resolution on the laptop. Couldn't I just change the setting on the screen to 1920x1080p to fix that so I could use the whole screen. Also with the yellow colors turning out mustard green, could that be fixed through some software update in the future provided that asus takes that to consideration? anyways thank you for you channel. you have great reviews and I appreciate them very much!
+Aria Hajiaghabozorgi There is almost no difference. The U303LN, LB and UB are almost the same. The only difference that the LN uses a Haswell processor, while the LB got a Broadwell and the UB got the Skylake. There is little difference between these processors in the Ultra Low Voltage category, only 10-15%. Also, the LB and the UB uses the 940M instead of the 840M, but the performance difference is very small, 8%. The actual difference is power consumption and heat. All of these processors (GPU and CPU) are identical (except Skylake), but the LB and UB ones are using the 14nm proccess, so they produce less heat and they consume less power. Overall, everything else (screen, hinges, touchpad) are the exact same.
I want to know if it is possible to set a simcard inside the lapton in order to make and receive calls? It would be a really great function I hope you can help me on this, thanks
Do you really have to remove the rubber to upgrade? and if you do do you recommended i upgrade now or later since its a new laptop and what is the safest way to remove the rubber and the safest way to put them back on? Thanks in advance.
I think I will get this as soon it comes out, but one Question... I have a 1TB SSD, is it hard to open it up and change it? I've never done this before and I'm noob, the 1TB SSD is from my brother who doesn't need it anymore
Its kinda funny, in denmark, i got the Ux303 ln for 1500 usd, which is much cheaper than the yoga at almost 1700 usd. Plus there's the higher specs and stuff. Dedicated graphics which is just awesome. In denmark prices of pc's is muuuuch more expensive, than in the us because of taxes and such, but a dane do generally get a bigger paycheck, in case the high price seemed weird. To set things in perspective a Macbook pro with similar specs costs 1950 usd
Its an awesome computer, especially the ln with the 3200*1800 display. Very pleasing to look at, and a nice build quality, which haven't let me down since I got it half a year ago
Does this machine tilt when you fold back the screen? Meaning the laptop rests on the edge of the screen when you fold back the screen? I know for certain that some zenbooks do, and this is a dealbreaker for me.
i was thinking of buying the ux303LN version but i have read some reviews saying that the colors are off , is there anyway to fix it , or should i just wait for the ux305 (maybe an LN version too that has a dedicated graphics ) ? i am not in a rush i just want it before july .
Dont ever fucking put a laptop on top of a towel if you open it up and tinker with it. It can build up static electricity, something like a mousemat would be more recommended.
got this a few days ago and yellow issue is just as serious of a problem as 3k scale ratio, i5 had a grey screen problem and switch to i7 while those issues above still exists and noticeable battery life reduction....lol
Thinking to buy Asus ux303ln or Asus uc302lg. I'm going to use it for common internet-browsing and some gaming. Which of these two asus ultrabooks is best? Thx :)
You shouldn't be making assumptions like that...no fanboy intended but you don't now what the new MacBook Air will be like, it could be amazing or it could suck.
Denton Dietz The upgradeability alone puts it ahead of the Macbook, in my opinion at least, I already own a 1TB SSD so the idea of paying Apple's crazy premiums for storage doesn't appeal.
i would like to get some opinions from people. i have a 17.3 inch hp envy that i would like to replace (its quite large and im a student who would like something more portable). I would like something with dedicated graphics and enough power to handle casual gaming and stuff like solidworks. i would choose between the asus n550jk or the asus ux303ln. any suggestions / thoughts?
I understand the LN version needing to be thicker for the gpu but if only they slimmed down the LA one :( This looks thick and doesn't give me the Zenbook feel
Does anyone know where I can find this model? The ones listed on amazon only list the 303la with intel HD graphics. I checked Asus' site as well and they list the 303la as having intel HD graphics as well. If anyone could provide me with a purchase link that would be great.

As for the rest of your comment, well, judging by your grammar and whatnot, I can see I'm dealing with a real genius here; but who am I kidding?
Got the UX303LN matte screen, worth every penny. (even though its crazy expensive in DK). Love your reviews!!!!
i kinda regret buying this laptop back in 2015, bc now my standards for an upgrade that also will have to last 6-7 years are astronomically high. how is it that this machine has a better port selection, better upgradability/repairability than like all of apple's offerings and many windows laptops in 2021?
I kind of wish they would've kept the lid glass, it looked absolutely beautiful, though this one is great as well.
have the same design on my UX32VD and i can only say positive things about it. Even dropped a massive ikea glas on this, not even a mark.
Nice review. I'll go for the Asus :D
Great review! Especially liked when you should us the internals!
at 5:27 you didn't mention its thicker than the older versions (i.e the black ux31a touch)
Well done! you're amazing
I have one question what are the difference between the asus zenbook ux303ua and 303la and wich is better?
Forgot to ask a few questions, and I apologize that I'm asking so many. Have you tried any battery tests? If so, were any of them close to 8 hours? Also, how is heat management and the frequency and loudness of the fans coming on? And how would you compare the track pad to the Air's? Thanks.
Lastly, I think it would be interesting if you made a video of Windows 8.1 vs OSX Yosemite. I'd like your take on those two as you always have reasonable and detailed opinions on everything.
4gb memory soldered onto the mainboard =/
if you 4gb stick is bricked -> get a new one, BUT if the soldered 4gb are gone -> ux303 RMA =/ thats the only negative point here ...
anyways, thank you a lot for the great review! best on ytube and the web!
PS: i bought one ... :D
Has the 2015 model if this been changed at all? Not in terms of 5th gen processor and the expected stuff, but design/functionality/etc.?
Thanks for this awesome review Grandma
Is it great for professional video editing, does it support 4K videos? and how is the battery life?? thanks a lot.
Thank you for the review. Makes my life much easier to decide on one.
Ever since I got the Yoga, I can't imagine a laptop without this feature!!
When will you post the written review?
I'm on the verge of buying either the Macbook Air or the Asus UX303LN. According to Notebookcheck, battery life is similar, however I've heard from many a user that battery life is only about 7 hours on average with the Asus. I need a conclusive comparison ;)
Thanks. Very useful review (Especially the insides bit)
:)
Thanks man, good to know tbh.
The hinges are a little flimsy, but I've had mine for 2 years without much of a problem.
You are one of the lucky ones. I wasn't, nor were hundreds of other people.
I've been using Asus for 4 years and it has not given me much trouble :)
but there are another hunderds of lucky one also, like me.
U got a new subscriber over here!
Thanks Lisa for such an informative review. Could you please help me to decide which one to pick for my son's graduation? Which one do you think is better, the UX302LA or UX303LN. Thanks Lisa, hoping for your reply.. :)
Dear Lisa,
I'm seriously considering the UX303LN which I can still buy.
Thanks
Joe
Let's be honest in 2014 this was the best choice for Windows variant. This was the perfect ultrabook. Nostalgic
You should review the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro soon. It looks amazing!
MobileTechReview thanks!
why were the keys backlight flashing?
joshua parker It has to do with the refresh rate of the camera and led strobing, it isn't noticeable in real life.
It was quite long for a review but I liked it!
***** Thanks for the input! How are you liking the keyboard and trackpad so far? Also do you feel like the 128gb of ssd is enough?
***** Wow sounds great, thanks a lot! Are there any issues or some things that you haven't liked so far about the laptop??
Hi, any chance of a look at the 303UA and newer skylake zenbooks?
Thanks, Lisa, for this review! I´m very interested in this ultrabook. Can you tell me please the battery life of the Zenbook LA Model?
By the way, i hope you may do the review of the asus zenbook 305. Can you tell us if this ulktrabook will arrive europe before christmas? thanks Lisa! Keep up the good work!!
Sorry, Lisa! Its not the LA Model, but the LN Model, ok? Thanks
This vs new xps 13?? :)
***** don't spam
Hi Lisa,
Were you able to test if the msata slot is capable of handling 128-512GB of storage and can be used for additional storage for the unit? I plan on expanding the storage this way instead of replacing the SATA SSD.
Lisssaaaaa! I'm confused! This video says its for the 303 but you introduce it as ux31la so which is it? Microsoft store has the 303 but i don't think its the one you're reviewing even tho your title says yes? Please clear up my confusion- ty!!! BTC
Definitely the UX303, as it has the smokey brown lid and the 1080p screen. Don't worry, she probably just recalled the wrong name.
thanx! confusing cuz the microsoft store comes up when u search the one smokey brown aluminum lid cover, but THEN the listing itself is the gorilla glass one, so i was totally confoozled!
Would definitely like to see a smackdown between this and the air
Calvin Lewis Hey Calving, got the MSI GS60 Ghost Pro. Zero regrets and an amazing machine
Good luck!
Looks like they shared the design with the Lenovo U430!
THanks!
What do think of the reliability of this laptop? I heard that there is some problem with the hinge in the long run. Is it true?
Are you gonna do a review on the Skylake refresh of this model?
How does the keyboard, build quality and battery life compare to the Zenbook ux32a? I'm tempted to get another but I was kind of disapointed with the last one.
How is the trackpad compared to a macbook?
Lisa! Please review the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro :)
Can you do a review of the asus n550jk 2014?
Lisa from MobileTechReview, Simply The best reviewer
deciding deeply between this and the yoga 3......thoughts?????
Hey guys or Miss Lisa of MobileTechReview has the *SCREEN'S yellow tint* been fixed yet in this line? Will they ever? I am on the fence on getting this or MacBook Pro or Air...
hey lisa,
just a quick question?
Can you please do a review on ASUS UX303UB? thank you so much
+Aria Hajiaghabozorgi There is almost no difference.
+Zoltán Magyar so, are u saying that the UB model is also touchscreen? because in my country there is no explanation about that :')
Why haven't they used the UX32VD Display? :(
almost complete sRGB.
This one also has near complete sRGB coverage- with less light bleed that typical for the UX32VD.
thought it was like 78% compared to 93%. It's quite a difference. Just a bit bleeding here, not viewable @ everydays work.
Echtvergoldet This has 96% percent of sRGB. About as good as it gets for high end laptops and Windows tablets these days.
That's impressive! Glad to hear that. Read the 78% somewhere else.
Thanks for the answer!
+Echtvergoldet Have you any idea whether the UX32VD display will swap over to the UX303?
I want to know if it is possible to set a simcard inside the lapton in order to make and receive calls?
It would be a really great function
I hope you can help me on this, thanks
Great review!!
Do you really have to remove the rubber to upgrade? and if you do do you recommended i upgrade now or later since its a new laptop and what is the safest way to remove the rubber and the safest way to put them back on?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Lisa can you please make a review of asus k series ultrabook? Thanks!
Hi! Do you know when the ux303LN model releases in UK?
I think I will get this as soon it comes out, but one Question... I have a 1TB SSD, is it hard to open it up and change it? I've never done this before and I'm noob, the 1TB SSD is from my brother who doesn't need it anymore
Picked Yoga 2 Pro over this because the i7, 8GB, 256GB version is so expensive.
Its kinda funny, in denmark, i got the
Ux303 ln for 1500 usd, which is much cheaper than the yoga at almost 1700 usd.
I know for certain that some zenbooks do, and this is a dealbreaker for me.
mrbizn bizn well the screen probably weighs less than 300 grams, which will have no impact on the metallic hinges.
I just bought the 303LN. It better be good, or I'll be notifying my solicitor!
Michael Herman so, is good?
Israel Moreno I just got my LN and it's great! (Except for the yellows)
i was thinking of buying the ux303LN version but i have read some reviews saying that the colors are off , is there anyway to fix it , or should i just wait for the ux305 (maybe an LN version too that has a dedicated graphics ) ? i am not in a rush i just want it before july .
Dont ever fucking put a laptop on top of a towel if you open it up and tinker with it. It can build up static electricity, something like a mousemat would be more recommended.
I'm pretty sure Lisa knows more about you in keeping static electricity away from computer components.
Apparently not.
NviForce cotton= no static, polyester=static. Natural fibers for the win ;)
Haha, that's funny.
May I ask if you plug in the charger, is there an indication that it is charging when the laptop is off?
Yes it does
got this a few days ago and yellow issue is just as serious of a problem as 3k scale ratio, i5 had a grey screen problem and switch to i7 while those issues above still exists and noticeable battery life reduction....lol
Justin Chan yup, yellow issue is terrible, I had to return it
are you guys getting the yoga 3 pro in soon?
+mobiletechreview where did you buy your touchscreen version and how much was it. please reply soon. thank you
Thinking to buy Asus ux303ln or Asus uc302lg. I'm going to use it for common internet-browsing and some gaming.
Which of these two asus ultrabooks is best?
Thx :)
anybody have any reviews on the hinge for the UX303UB?? I heard it literally pops out after close to a year of use!! :S
+moontanmy1 Try aliexpress or ebay.
I want it! better than the upcoming macbook air
***** 1TB ssd? those thing exist?
akshay rathore Yup, Crucial have been selling them for over a year now, I think Samsung have some too.
akshay rathore Yes they do exist
im thinking between this one, the lenovo yoga 2, or the lenovo y50, which one should i get?
So in the end, can you use the half sized mSATA SSD as a regular drive or is it for cache only?
ilaserbia it should be a usable SSD drive.
i would like to get some opinions from people. i have a 17.3 inch hp envy that i would like to replace (its quite large and im a student who would like something more portable). I would like something with dedicated graphics and enough power to handle casual gaming and stuff like solidworks. i would choose between the asus n550jk or the asus ux303ln. any suggestions / thoughts?
oh and how much space does windows 8.1 take up on the ux303ln?
This, actually the 6th Gen i5 CPU version UX303UA vs the HP Specter X360?
+Whatatay T Stick with Asus one. It's better
+Hoàng Vũ I did and it has been great. I saw the HP at Best Buy and it looked and felt cheap. More like a $250 laptop.
Nice. Hope you enjoy your laptop!!
I understand the LN version needing to be thicker for the gpu but if only they slimmed down the LA one :( This looks thick and doesn't give me the Zenbook feel
No Yoga, no tablet, just good old traditional ultrabook-looks like we live in quite nice time for laptops.
I LOVED THE BROWN series D: !
I mourn their disparition...
Are they gonna be releasing a new version of this soon?
Can you do a review on the Asus ux305?
Does anyone know where I can find this model? The ones listed on amazon only list the 303la with intel HD graphics. I checked Asus' site as well and they list the 303la as having intel HD graphics as well. If anyone could provide me with a purchase link that would be great.
What do you suggest? Asus Zenbook UX303 or Inspiron 13 7000 Series 2-in-1 Special Edition Laptop?? Can you help me for i7, 1 TB & 8 GB
what about hardisk? any sound from it? same tik tik
Lisa: Does this model have an Ethernet port?
No, but there is a USB-->Ethernet Adapter in the box
Review the Dell Inspiron 7447 please!
When we are buying a laptop, how will we know if its the ux303la or ux303ln??? Is it written on the box?
Can you do a review on the alienware 17?
God no
I have this & I like it a lot !
