Hey flats just letting you know that if you cancel slam by pressing slam again there is a delay so you get higher by cancelling slam with a different ability.

@@animegirl4209 He plays widow though and got to GM. So it’s not that he has bad aim, though he says that he does, he just doesn’t have aim comparable to a T500 DPS player does. It’s not that bad though.

Even outside of role queue, it's about 75% of the heroes. I'm not one for open queue, but friends are so it is not a fun time

@@nitrothekid2323 It matters because when new support mains come around who haven't been playing for long, saying "healer" can be misunderstood as "your only job is to heal" when that's not really the case. Obviously in a normal match no ones gonna give a shit, but if you're doing educational content or trying to coach someone it's better to say support.
had a Ramattra constantly cry about not getting healed despite the fact he rushed in every fight in nemesis form and would get mowed down by the enemy team meaning I had to play tank as brig while healing the rest of the team yet he kept going on and on and on about how we were terrible at support and the most important part of this story was that this was in box standard quick play.
Thank you for explaining that main/flex support difference! I'd heard 'main and off healer' used to refer to healing output and was always confused about the distinction.

Best way to make a distinction:
Soldier is an off healer. He's not a flex support.
On cass grenade its hella annoying playing doomfist against cass cause damage from it doesn't charge your block so you recieve the full 120 damage

@@cavelstone9545 Tracer stick makes sense since that’s an ult that takes actual skill to land, but Sticky Nade/Shots doing full damage make 0 sense
@@LaiLai-2111 Even then with Tracer's ult if she ults my face I KINDA think it should count as blocking it logically. Especially since Zarya's bubble somehow negates it. But logic aside, it is fair if it's her ULT doing it but Cass' auto aim bs is unhealthy for the character
I just find it funny how the character based around precision and quick reaction time has an auto-aim ability that deals 130 free damage

Had a blasting game on Brig with ~70ish Whip Accuracy and ~40ish Inspire uptime
Got told to switch so I replied "What do you mean I'm hitting this many shifts and my inspire is that"
The answer I got was "That's really bad, good inspire uptime is around 70% and how do you miss on a melee hero?"

once we lost a game when i was playing brig with 20K mitigated damage, 23K healing, and 11K damage. our other support was a kiriko who had 16K healing, 4K damage...guess who got flamed?

@@weshansen7892 Just feels like it's a matter of "only his way is the correct way", when there are millions of players globally. His way of "talking to devs" is making youtube videos and streaming. It is a bit tiresome when streamers feel like/act like they have the upper hand over everyone else. The majority of Overwatch streamers/RUclipsrs don't act like that

Cassidy nade is pretty much a death sentence for doom as well (by extension rammattra but he has a higher hp pool and has armor ontop of it)
Hell sticky nades in general are a massive threat to doom and ram when you think about it

You can only play cover for so long before you need to get onto the objective. Any character that can one shot from far away will always be strong, if not the best character in the game.
It's gotten so bad I've forced myself to grind Widow myself. Simply to deal with the other Widow. It's not like I walk out of spawn as Widow. But if I hear those shots I'm straight up just walking back to spawn and switching to Widow these days.
@@aeloh6921 I mean, what else are you supposed to do, leave her uncontested? The presence of any character who can just click on your head and kill you turns the game into a "Am I going to die for peaking this corner?" game.
@@TheOneWhoReportsForDuty Add to that the Mercy buff that is picked almost every game and Widow pocket becomes a real strategy and Îm a Mercy player. The fact that the devs still think that widow is in an okay spot just makes me wanna lose it, even Hanzo is more balanced than her. She really needs to get that fall off damage nerf where her effective range is cut in half.

@@TheOneWhoReportsForDuty My take, Snipers should be balanced like their antonyms, the Shotguns. If Reaper can't oneshot you, then Widowmaker shouldn't either. Matter of fact why allow snipers the ability to headshot at all. If Widow and Sojourn's fully charged Railgun, did the damage Ana does when sniping, people would probably consider it far more fair.
how much I laughed when Kiriko died in a mid-air jump while climbing up the payload and Cass flash just flew after her - it was 4 meters high XD
Another example is when I threw a flash at Mercy and she flew after Pharah, the grenade flew 6 meters and stuck! it was the coolest "corkscrew" I've ever seen =)
The instant teleport trick works with Sombra's translocator too.
Flats if you slam cancel it stops your momentum but canceling slam into punch carries the momentum from the slam that's why you use them differently
first doom tech is useful. slam upwards and immediately blocking or charging punch cancels slam much faster than you can normally and it allows you to get much more height
The guy talking about the Cass nade at 1:40 showing us a perfect recreation 😆 Sometimes it's either that or it just goes forward and is a dud when you're looking right at someone. It doesn't know what it wants to do.

When I started ow1 I started in plat coming from paladins top ranks. I dropped really fast down to mid gold because I had no idea what the fuck was going on. Good times.

That support video reminded me of a time I was getting cussed out in QP for "dying too often" as tank when they were running zen lucio xD
I was waiting for Flats opinion about carry potential between Supports, & the rest of the roster
Support is without a doubt 1000% the least impactful role in the game (besides mercy cause her dmg boost can carry games just by putting it on the hitscan)
I say this as a top 500 support main, We don't do anything CLOSE to what the other roles do in terms of changing the outcome of the game.
@@Eerebus Facts, Ana and Kiriko have high potential as well but sadly we can't carry. Obviously a garbage support will be noticeable but you can play around it. If you have a garbage tank you lose.
@waitwhowhat2474 STRAIGHT Facts it's extremely rare for me to see a Tank get carried but Tanks carrying the whole team can be quite common
if you didn't know, every ability can be buffered if its not actionable at the moment by holding the button for the ability. same thing with jumping out of Rein charge by holding jump and canceling with charge button.

Me who just started playing OW2 as a tank main, S1 Silver 1, S2 Plat 2 and current S3 just hit diamond 1 just need 5 more games of winning to hit master 5 or 4, I play with people that I’ve found that are chill as in ranked and we just have a good time even if we loose.
The ranks are heavily inflated.
Yeah Brig Zen is really good RN, it's really painful when the enemy has a Zen but your team doesn't.
Because it just means they are probably gonna win like every "tank" fight just because your tank is going to be taking way more damage and would have to be a lot better than the enemy tank to compensate for that. So even acceptable picks like picking Moira when I'm Brig, (Moira heals close up while Brig can compensate for Moira's lack of range), are now a pretty awful pick simply because if they have Brig and Zen we'll be destroyed. Neither Moira nor Brig can deal very well with Zen at all on long range. On top of that when the brigs fight each other the Zen is way more likely to just delete brig when she drops her shield compared to Moira's relatively slow DPS.
Of course DPS and Tanks can compensate for that but if you compare just the supports you are already starting off at a disadvantage.
I played a Reinhardt duel the other day against Sombra Zen and only won because I'm better at the character but it was pure suffering the entire game

I think a problem with ball being meta is that now Sombra and tracer are now being played a lot more with the ball dive comp. Very hard on supports this season, but still can be fun haha
i can confirm since season 3 i have made it to places i never thought i could get to in overwatch 1 (i was hard stuck gold) but since finding good team mates, refining my skills, learning techs, and ive grown a lot. enough to place diamond and masters so when i dropped to diamond again i was pissed cause i was on the biggest loosing streaks and id get really toxic and sometimes voice it at my team mates who i believed were dragging us down. i think whats made me get really tilted when im on a loosing streak is cause one of my friends told me that my skill level isnt that of someone of the rank i met him in (i met him in plat and now hes a gm rein main) he told me that my skills were probably diamond or masters so ig that boosted my ego a tad and also made me feel more pressure on myself. but yea can confirm those ranks get extremeley toxic and its easy to get tilted.

The most painful thing I heard in silver comp, was when I picked kiriko, that Mercy and Kiriko were literally antis to one another and would lose us the game if we played that combo. So when I switched to Moira, they were happy about it. Was so cringe, I think we barely won that game. Just glad I'm not deep in that anymore.

Man spoke the truth about rank toxicity. Had to play with no chat at all to focus only on my tank gameplay and got to GM that way. Now I use comms for call outs and coordinate plays and have not seen nobody getting mad yet in GM lobbies.
I thought Main/Off Support depends on your team comp. Main support is the one who is necessary for the comp, for example mercy would be main support when you have pharah/Soujourn. But would be off Support if you had an Ana and Genji, so you could easily switch out mercy for Zen for example. Well, another day another lesson I guess.
Main supports and flex supports kind of confuse me because in OWL you will still have someone like Jjonak on Zen (main sup) but he also flexes to Ana/Bap (Flex sup) so I always wonder if those players have to relinquish their callouts when they swap off of those roles. Or if they have a main shot-caller as the tank that leads tempo etc. Idk how specific it can be but i find it interesting to ponder.

Best support comp is supports that know when to use a ability
When you mentioned "there's no added issue with printing ASA and ABS". Isn't the main issue the Stryene off-gassing? Not necessarily small particulates? You hear different info everywhere, as someone who prints with ABS a lot I often wonder if my ghetto enclosure setups help
Ok, first off, zenny mercy is a wonderful combo depending on what tank is being used. Orisa, jq, sig. Doom, ball good. Dva meh.
Second, a good mercy should be swapping both beams and firing into the backlines whenever possible. They need to keep their heads in a constant swivel.
And lastly, living the content dude. Keep that positivity flowing.

4:35 As someone who has been in bronze all the way to Masters, the most toxic was by far in gold-plat, this is where most players believe they are being held back from their team (and sometimes its true). And as someone who has played in every kind of lobby, elo hell exists, and its in gold. It was harder breaking out of gold than it is for any other rank imo.

Ball is a nightmare to play against as a support main, i mean all roles are a nightmare to play against as a support but ball is literally the worst. Grasp into disabling shields may seem like a waste, but you get hp and can cycle through your shield better. Its just more utility, you won't do that every time anyway

I gave up ranked once I established myself at diamond in overwatch one. Plat to diamond is almost elo hell. Once I got into masters, I realized it wasn't just being good, you needed discipline on top of that. It just wasn't fun anymore for me. Today, quickplay with diamonds and plats is the best I can have

She already has falloff, but it starts at such a distance that it rarely matters.
it's a map issue not a hero issue. she is way too good on those maps because there is so much open sightlines, but there are also maps that are really bad for widow, like 90% of the koth maps.
