ay, im ass at zen but i am climbing ranks by discording someone and just calling it out and then getting like 7k damage and 6k heals with the worst zen ults possible.
I only hate Zen when I'm playing Rein (sometimes Brig but not as much) if I get in Zen's face he should be SCREWED but that kick messes me up so bad.
if i'm playing (in qp) lucio and i see the enemy has lucio, i only wave hello at him and don't shoot him. he is too precious.
The thought of you wall riding past eachother waving hello as you go to troll the enemy backlines

I don't think citing the experimental tank Mei patch from a few years ago is a good argument for why she shouldn't be a tank tho, they put in barely any effort in to converting her to the role, plus it was for an April fools patch. All they did was increase her hitbox and health, plus it was still during 6v6. If they put actual effort into making her a tank I think she could work far better than she does now as a DPS.

the funny thing about toxic duels is that sniper duels are some of the most respectable fights. since nobody interrupts them, and they only go after one another, the victor of the duel gets to prey on the enemy supports almost uncontested.
like, if your in a widow duel, a lot of the time the enemy widow will ONLY target you until you die, even though its technically better and safer to just snipe the supports. its like a weird unspoken rule.
That phara flight one is actually useful for some new players because I’ve been teaching some of them phara and they instantly gas the boost every time

Funny how that guy commented "average age of a sym player" but just about every single sym player I see dominates the games and gets POTG
she takes very little skill though. it's insanely easy to play well as sym, hence the average age being a child, who wouldn't be able to play the other heroes

@Jack Eltrich yeah she's easy too although I feel like people would go for torb if they want turret kills. Yes her turrets are good but most people (not me) can survive her turrets pretty easily while torb turret lasers people from the other side of the map.

I have that for characters I genuinely play, Sig, Hog, and Symm for example. But if I am just chillin and playing a character I don't usually play then I don't try to make a mirror switch.
What I find funny is my friend a zen apologist, played one game of tank on a long los map, he swapped his opinion on zen real quick.
just wanted to say this but pharah 1v1s are pretty sweaty too. the mental damage you deal when you kill the enemy pharah mid air is addicting.

Pretty much any sniper matchup, Rein, Hog, Mercy, sometimes Lucio, Zen, and the more niche DPS are like this.
I literally had a dream with a sojourn for some reason and i cant say if she was nerfed into the ground or balanced she basically had no headshot multiplier and if she hit some one with full charge it did splash damage with a fraction of what the actual target took like a small explosion i wouldn’t say its a buff bc lucio exist and it usually wasn’t life threatening unless u we’re already below half

Can confirm for the second one, at least with some heroes. One of the worst forms of disrespects to deliver to another Pharah is to kill them and/or their pocket first.

What about like a decay time on Discord?
Where it only lasts 3 seconds on 1 target before wearing off but takes 8 seconds before being able to be applied to that target. Like Sombra hack. That way a Zen can still time a discord on a flanker and 1 v 1 them, and has to coordinate his discord on the tank with his teams burst damage while still being able to rapid swap targets.

So many matches of me and the other sombra just hunting eachother looking for our translocaters while poking and hacking the tank for some semblance of usefulness to hide the fact we are trying to ego kill the other sombra.

On the cass point, the whole point isn't to necessarily hard focus them and force them to switch off, but if I have an opportunity to kill the mirror match im going to kill them as fast as possible, with the most impressive shots possible, and the most disrespectful way possible to make sure they 1) know they got shit on and 2) im the better cass and they should switch.
Most people switch but very rarely people like me use that to fuel themselves and turn the diff around.

The second i see a Genji as Hanzo i switch to lore accurate mode. One push game it was a 4v4, i bagged there Genji twice after elimming him and we spent the rest of that round 1v1ing in a corner. Still play with him to this day.
I main zen and OW2 caused me to stop playing because... man, even when he's broken he still feels so baddddd

I almost got blasted to bits last night playing competitive mystery heroes in a Plat lobby because they had a zen but I manage to keep barely surviving even if I got stunned. My dumbass would even charge in if I didn't have full health and no adaptive shield. Just depends on the zen player. If they are good then run. If they are bad then run them over

Playing Pharah, if I get into a mirror matchup (especially a pharmacy mirror) my whole goal is no longer to win. It’s to force them to swap to a hitscan, bonus points if the other DPS swaps to a hitscan first to try and help the other Pharah.
I swear to god, if I ever see another TikTok tell me to animation cancel my reloads, I will punch a kitten.
NONE of the reloads are done faster by a well timed melee because the moment your ammo counter jumps to full the reload animation only takes as long as one melee animation anyways. The only reason to animation cancel your reloads is if you are in melee range of a target anyways to get a bit more damage out. Apart from that you are not gaining anything from doing that and could potentionally even harm your gameplay with that by either canceling too early and thus having to go through the animation again, or by canceling too late leading to your reload taking longer.
Pharah AOE slam damage?! Do they not know her whole thing is staying away from everyone else?

But for real. I know about feathering and I do feather but I still end up on the ground for a few seconds. Watching him I realize I need to hold down space for .01 seconds not just 1 second. Sounds dumb but watching someone else do it is nice. This is why I'm a gold tank not DPS. XD

As a zen main, I agree he shouldn't have a flat dmg buff with discord. But I also feel that if what he gets in return isn't good enough he'll kind've be gutted as a viable pick. The only reason people really put up with zens is because of the dmg boost.
For real. Ppl complain about damage orb but zen has the lowest healing output of all support and is the easiest hero to kill in the game. If I had to change it I would make a cast time to make a bit vulnerable or make the orb an actual projectile that you have to aim cuz it is kinda crazy that the orb is instantaneous and can be weaved in while shooting. But I think he’s fine as is.

Been flamed and seen others flamed while were are literally in slow metal ranks and MFers are out here thinking that their hand is not going to have sex with them that night and they will have to settle for their off hand (which is the ugly one) because they lost a close match because the painfully bronze support did not switch to Lucio at the end of the game to touch the point. Also screaming that their 7k damage across the whole 3 rounds on Sym against an Orisa with a "pocket healer" was absolutely carrying the team and we are all trash and he hates bronze lobbies.
Would it be better if discord orb was changed to another ally orb that buffs damage for that one teammate?
As a mostly outside observer who just plays on occasion, the overwatch community is INSANELY toxic. My last game yesterday I just happened to have an amazing game, played out of my mind and everything worked out for me. But instead of saying "oh that guy played well, nice" this dude on the other team was flaming literally everyone of his allies for being terrible. Like damn.
All this talk about how Zenyatta is busted because of one ability he has in his discord orb, but then the only discourse is to just neuter that ability without any other changes
You'd think tank players would understand how just making a character irredeemable and unfun for the sake of it wouldn't be good either after Doomfist
