Ahh ellebangs! I watch your videos too : ) You two should do a collab!
What about icy blonde touch up on very curly hair ... do you have any suggestions ?
Would you do the same process as baby lights ?
I love watching you! As some one in school it's so much fun learning different techniques! 😘
You're seriously the bomb diggity. You've inspired me so much, I look forward to going to lab and thinking about what I want to do next on my doll heads. You're fabulous, and I'm obsessed with your work! I tell all my cosmo friends about you

Amazing! Thank you needed this!
Amazing work Jessi :O
great job Jessi!
Loveee ittt!! 😍😍😍
I love all your videos! I’ve learned so much from you! Been doing hair for almost four years! How about you? 😁
Hey Jessi! I'm in cosmetology school and my question is about you planning. What is your thought process when you're determining the different shades to use and mix together and placement of the foils? Is that something you've learned somewhere or does it just come from experience? Idk about yours but my school doesn't teach things like this lol it's just not the kind of clientele we get in. We really only get the basics from school so the more customized process we will have to learn outside of school. Of course even if I did get a client like this I'm sure my timing isn't good enough yet to pull it off.
Sonja Perkins I just finished school and have been working for a few months! It’s a challenge and I’m right there with you lol. In my school we didn’t get a good group of clientele to try things like this on. I always get excited when I get something fun at work but I still have trouble because I don’t have much experience. It’s always a struggle mixing my own formulations and my timing is not the greatest. I guess it just comes with experience 😣
Logan Tatlow thank you for letting me know I'm not the only one! Currently I have 3 weekly roller sets and a blowout so I'm good to go on those and perms. I'll hit 1000 hours next month so that's when I'll be one of the first in line for walk-in colors. Hopefully that'll give me a better idea of things outside of school.
Sonja Perkins in my school we literally did pin curls and roller sets for months. And then on top of that we had to wrap these perms that were so bizarre. It’s frustrating but it gets better!!!
In the same situation rn also wish there were a class on formulation
Do you always slice the whole head like that? Also, how long does something like this take you, start to finish?
You are magic!!!!
I love ❤️ this
Part 2!!😁
Please film pt 2 I'd love to see that xxx
Part 2. ❤❤
Just WOW
She keeps lifting her head in the bowl 😐 I hate when they do that lol. I love watching your videos Jessi gives me good ideas!
Lookin good as usual! Where did you get your appliance holders that are on the wall. Iv been looking for a while for something like that but I only found on amazon and some reviews say the holes are not big enough so Iv been hesitant to buy them.
Part2 please
Hi! First off, you are awesome and I love watching your videos. My question is how long would a process like this take on average?
Allison Ekstrom I
Love the color! Also long that song...who is it?! I love some edm
Part two!!
I love this, wat colour is yr own roots hun, I did my roots the Turned orange/yellowish level 7, I don't want to lightning it anymore, justvwabtva nice light brown or dark blonde, can unhelpfully me , i have colours 8,3 gold, light ash brown, 6 natural, I just don't want it green or to lift,
O and the rest of my hair is very blonde, did it coz their was no hairdressers open here in Ireland
Love your videos. Where did you go for training/ school?
how long does it take you to do a service like this? i feel like i would have to start booking out extra time if i did it like this!! i love the outcome tho! 😍
What’s the curler brand and barrel size
Ok where do you work? I need you for my hair right now!
muzik2lob My salon JZ Styles in American Fork Utah. ❤️
How would you add lowlights into highlighted hair?
I'm confused on why you still did a root smudge if you lowlighted and rooted in between foils too
emilywinters I use this method a lot when I’m giving someone a rooted look. It just helps to blur the highlights a little so it’s a soft contrast instead of a super harsh one. I’m sure Jessi can explain it better, but that’s just my two cents!
You explained it, concisely :) Jessi's all about blending!
I was thinking the same thing. Lol but more on the lines of why did she root smudge between foils if she’s going to root smudge everything at the bowl? ... I understand lowlighting in the foils but isn’t smudging between foils and then smudging again at the bowl repetitive? Might as well just do it at the bowl, no?...
Joseph Grajeda 5 min at the bowl is more of a toner than letting the color sit on the root for 35... so it would be lightly diffusing a harsh line between the blond and the shadow root
Plus it makes for a more expensive service ;)
How many years of hair styling studies do you need in the us to be able to have a salon ? In France ( where I live ) we need 4 years. Without the diploma called brevet professionnel we can’t have a salon legally
Kywest you don’t. You just have to finish school
what a beautiful baby
Dante Velasquez thanks (:
The before and after looks exactly the same. Then it looks brown in the very last pic. I think you screwed up, went to re-do it because the color didn't take originally, then posted the brown hair pic at the end. It definitely wasn't brown when you were styling it. hmmmm
N. S. Nice theory 😂 when i was drying it, we were next to a window with lots of natural light. When we took the picture, we were by a brick wall with zero lighting. That’s why it looks darker. Hope that makes sense!
WHY is there ALWAYS at least one hater that will leave a comment about these videos insinuating basically that you screwed up or dont know what your doing but trying to cover it up? That is so CRAZY to me. I graduated in 2012 and since have continued over the years to continue my education & keep current with refresher courses & new certifications when needed, but i think any stylist will agree that you will get the majority of your knowledge/experience from actually doing clients hair day in & day out & techniques you master on your own or by fellow stylists. My point is that to me it is OBVIOUS this stylist knows what she is doing!! In her technique, her explanation of her steps & color formulations an of course the results speak for themselves!! This is an amazing stylist & excellent instructor! Thank you!!!
