I love this correction! I also loved how you didn’t bash the original hair stylist. It’s important to understand that everyone makes mistakes and are human ☺️
Ok, but you don’t want them to make mistakes on your hair and also I hate when I need to tell them they did a bad job. I hate to go back to them after, though they might be great in haircuts and I really appreciate their other job. I wish they’d be decent enough to tell the client they’ve made a mistake.
i know! i hate when people come to me and i don’t mind fixing other’s mistakes but they go on and on bashing the previous stylist, everyone starts somewhere and some people are stronger in areas then most. should she have been upfront about not being 100% on highlights yes. but i also know i’ve been there before where you really do need a real living head to work on to truly understand the technical aspects of highlights
Just imagine if this lady had strips spots snd orange and yellow before a big event like a 21st or even her wedding day. I agree it's important not to bash the hairdresser that messed up the hair but also people should be warned on Google reviews in a subtle factual way. I have yellow hair with bands and dark roots after the terrible job the hairdresser did last week. Toward the end the hairdresser told me she is cutter. It was very obvious by the end result. 1/2 a head of foils took 5 hours and $285. I'm stuck trying to find a good hairdresser to fix it before Christmas, new years and my birthday on the the 5th of Jan and all the hairdresser are booked out.
I’m a licensed hairstylist!! I did highlights & they didn’t turn out well!! I was searching for a video by another professional! This really helped I fixed my client’s color with no problem! She was relieved & happy! I actually just did a root touch up with Chi Color & I toned the highlights!
It’s like you just preformed a miracle right in front of my eyes. 😍 it end result looks amazing! I’ve been thinking about going to beauty school to do hair.
Wow you did an awesome job at fixing her hair. This happened to me before. I noticed it the next day after I got my hair done when I was straightening my hair and I text the cosmetologist photos. She correctly it a week later when she had an opening but she also charged me to fix it. I didn’t believe that I should been charged for her to fix her mistake, however, I didn’t want drama and I payed and never went back to her.
Wow, the end result is stunning! I start cosmetology school Monday and I'm sooo excited. Can't wait to learn how to do hair and learn formulas and get my creative juices flowing! Love all your vids. Just discovered your channel this week and I absolutely love it
You are so so good Lauren and your explaination is 10/10. I came here to see color correction to fix my own hair. But after watching your work, i feel like i should become a hairstylist. 😅😅😅
Thank you for this!! I literally just got highlights done 2 days ago and I've been so stressed because they came out looking just like that girl's and I've been miserable thinking I'll be stuck with this
I've watched this video several times and I think I'm going to try to do it on myself...because my hair looks like the before! How long did you leave on the last step?
This video is exactly what I needed. I am a barber so I just cut hair, but starting to teach myself how to highlight and color my own. My struggle is I have probably 50% gray hair mostly in the top and timple area and I like my hair light but my natural color is about a level six so when I color my roots, then it looks too dark to me because I like to be more blonde. Should I use a higher level than shadow root with shades? I have finally been here so I like dimension. My hair does tend to pull brass what are your thoughts to cover gray have dimension yet still be more on the blonde side. It can be tricky.
HELP! My hair has spots of bleach on it and then spots which are untouched :( I wanted to red colour correct my hair and then apply light brown dye all over. Should I put corrector only on the bleached spots or all over? Thankyou! Xx
I haven’t work a lot with Shades, but I’m always amazed that you can still see blonde in the top of the hair! I always expect it to be all brown!! Is it not all brown because of Shades being translucent?
Hey Lauren, I almost forgot, love your work!! I’m an older stylist and using Redken is new for me. Hope you can help me formulate the lowlights for my client with a natural level 6/7. Keep the vids coming!
H really loving the tutorials, I’m a hairstylist in the UK and work alone in a salon I have at my house, so these videos are amazing to keep me up to date! I just have a question about shades eq, I can’t seem to find a wholesaler that stocks it so would a regular demi-colour do the same thing? Thanks in advance 😍
Great correction! Beautiful job. I am not to familiar with all redken line. What processing solution did you use?. It looks thicker that I am use to. Thank you
My new hairdresser (who works out of her house, so I can't just show up there) messed my hair up 3 wks ago. It's not platinum like I have had my foils for yrs, but rather brassy with spots at the top. Plus the foils appear to have slipped so that they are not uniform. They don't go to the top of my hair strands... they are crooked. I sent lots of pics to her but she replied with the b4 & after pics & to say the toner will wash out eventually & I could use purple shampoo. I told her I could use the whole bottle & it's NEVER going to lighten the amber color of the baby, baby foils. I can't fix it myself due to the super fine foils. I would end of turning the darker strands brassy while the original brassy pieces wait to turn platinum. I washed out the toner she put on a best I could & applied a gloss that's light opal blonde & the swatch showed it as a violet platinum. BS! Now my hair is worse & there are NO highlights. It's all a brassy dark dirty hay/ strawberry color. The hairdresser wouldn't even offer to look at my hair. What a waste of my money!
+Alix Palacios good question. It will fade, but it most likely won’t fade enough to completely reveal the underlying pattern. However if it does, it’s an easy touch up. And a client who needs a color correction of course should be warned beforehand they may need maintenance ✌🏻 thanks for watching!
I just came across this video and it's amazing. I seen that you used redken, but are there any other product lines you would recommend using for color melts?
Janette Jack Generally speaking, yes that is a perfectly good rule to follow! However in this case, I am working with so many different porosities because the hair was over processed so I wanted the canvas as even as possible. I would not do this on wet hair. But this is completely towel dried to the point where you can ring out the hair and no water falls out. That way I have evened our the porosity without the water really diluting the product. Hope that helps! Good question!
@@LaurenFrancesHair I do this also when doing a perm. After putting the rods in I spray water all over the rods again before I start processing with the solution.

how did your 6 formula not turn the whole head dark??? your finished product is gorgeous!!!!
