- The two most distinguishing symptoms of Sjögren’s Syndrome are dry eyes and mouth. Besides being painful, having dry eyes makes it harder to perform everyday tasks, like working on a computer, and many patients have blurred vision. Dry mouth makes it very difficult to eat and causes burning of the throat. However, these are not the only symptoms. Patients with Sjögren’s often experience joint pain and stiffness, fatigue, and are more likely to develop lymphoma. In this video, Dr. Alan Baer, the Director of the Jerome L. Greene Sjögren's Syndrome Center, discusses the symptoms of Sjögren’s Syndrome.

My rheumatologist believes this is what i have. I'm really afraid of what thst means for me. My mouth get so dry that my tongue bleeds sometimes. I'm aching and tired all the time. And my mid section always feels so swollen that i dont want to eat. I barely sweat when i workout. And when I start to cry my eyes burn first. I've also been having alot of brain fog😔
I have it and macular degeneration .lupus primary. Sjogrens really is painful and I am now almost blind. Thanks so much

I am in the midst of having cavities filled at the gum line on most of my teeth which is evidenced by brown spots. Thank you to validate that sometimes we can be disabled because of some symptoms. And some of them are each day.
Four months ago, a psychologist thought I need to go in a mental hospital, because I was so tired...
Fortunatelly, there is a psychiatrist in the rheumatology service, and she could explain this extreme fatigue is not only a sign of depression but it’s pretty common in Sjögren.
I had the diagnosis for sure three months ago.
So fast to tell: take this pills because you’re depressed (tired) and so complaining about mysterious symptoms, and go outside, have a walk, Move!
And you are just so in pain and suffering (for losing your job, a disability people called easily lazyness...).

Any studies done on blood types and/or factor when it comes to this syndrome?
I have all of the sympoms and was diagniosed with this syndrome now i can hardly walk due to my lumbar issues i have told my dr about this but he hasnt treated me for this,what should I ask MY dr about this and also what kind of treatment my eyes are blurry and dry my mouth is always dry burning tongue and throat beyond belief,im always fatuiged have no energy.i am very concerened now since i watched yoru video cause you said joints and other things i am in severe pain with this,can you please help me thank yo uvery much.?

Sorry, I know this is an old comment but yeah I'm a male. I was diagnosed in 2014. I don't fit any of the statistics at all...I was only in my 30's when I started having really bad symptoms. The worst was fatigue and joint pain. Dry eyes and dry mouth was actually one of the last symptoms I started getting.
