salvage rebuilds uk I’m actually watching your channel out here in Saskatchewan Canada, you’re 7 hours ahead of me, so you’ve got a bit of a cushion time wise lol
Hi Rob - I like your way of thinking - You show great business sense and thanks for sharing it with us. The mini looks a great little car and you bought it for a good price - Also it is very handy you having your recovery truck - I know "Cars for Paul" always says how much the delivery charges are. Please keep the videos coming they are brilliant. Kind regards Clay.
Clay Walker delivery from copart to me is about £47 but then you don’t get charge a load fee so it works out about £33 so I could survive without the truck 👍
A really good informative video Rob, and I'm really happy that you are looking really comfortable talking on camera now, compared to how it was when you first started the channel. This is the reason you are getting more subscribers than a lot of the other channels that started before you. Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to the next one.
Hi Rob, great video, nice to see you won a car at the end, little tidy Mini, you do more videos like this to watch when you are bidding shows what's involved.
You took a chance on the range rover and turned out no problems, I aways take risks also some you win(most) and some you lose but always learn something new, keep going!
This is why I sub'd to your channel, straight to the point up front honesty, no bullshit and really interesting content. Copart say it'll be worth this when done and then the insurance company will say something waaaay lower when you insure it.....a car has so many values lol, but only one counts and thats what someone is willing to pay for it!
Just got the Mrs a Smart FourTwo as a runaround in the UK, reckon I might give it a go with one of them when I move back. The ones we looked at,, around the £1500 to £1800 mark, didn't seem to hang around on the market for too long. Not sure if you remember, or even knew of, the Erith Trade Centre years back, but his business model seemed to be to buy the motors from Belmont Auctions in Charlton and just stick em up for a couple of hundred quid more than he paid, without even cleaning em. We all used to get our motors from him. Cheers for another great video mate, really do enjoy them
Just recently started watching your videos and it's good to see a warts and all honest approach to buying cars from the likes of cop art. One of my old cars ended up there with a blown turbo.
On auctions weather your there in person or a online auction you have to set a price in your head and stick to it..it's so easy to get caught in the excitement and go over your budget ,,great video Rob
You wont pick it up in 5 mins. You will have some big ups and some big downs, keep at it, do plenty of research before you bid or buy and as said u will need good people skills, get a good personal relationship with potential buyers, get them to like you. Goes a long way for me
Another great video mate looks a nice little mini. I just won a car from copart sandtoft 2011 corsa 1.0 cat n 39968 miles with just very light front bumper and drivers wing car only passed it's mot on oct 04 paid £1,265 including fees. Keep up the good work.
Subscribed to your channel Rob. Very informative for a beginner like me. I have been looking at doing this for a while and recently picked up a Peugeot 207 1.4 2006 cat n with 10 months MOT for £280 to use as a runaround, it needed a front bumper headlight wing and wing mirror, I struck lucky finding all the parts in exact colour match for a bargain price of £65. I have definitely been bitten by the salvage bug. Now looking for another project.
Another good video Rob. You explain some of the do & don't mistakes people make with copart. As you said it's important to read all the information & look at the photos properly. Be nice to see the progres with the mini.
I'm so glad you won that mini I won exactly the same one cat N diesel 07 in white VERY CLEAN drives beautifully I did buy it to sell hopefully i can get some tips from you what price your selling for and how you advertise - Look forward to the next video!
Great fun to watch as as usual thanks. I live in Newcastle upon Tyne and would love to find out if there's anything similar up here. You have me inspired !!
That was very interesting indeed. Whilst understanding the appeal of the quick turnaround for these cars, I can't wait to see another bigger job i.e. another Ferrari or Range Rover - they were mint viewing.
Another great video. More like this please. Really liked the way you gave advice about which cars are worth the money and just as important the car that really wasn't worth the effort or the money. More of these please mate. As I am in the learning part of this game and am looking for a car at copart wolverhampton at the moment. Again great vid mate. Keep them coming as we appreciate your insight and honesty. . Cheers !!!
Brought / bought, say what you like Rob! You need a cheap little tripod, they free up both hands. I also recommend a folding case for your iPad. Protects it and stands it up at different angles. Doesn’t slip and slide and no need to prop up on books. Thanks for the vids fella! 👍
Great vid again Rob. Mini a bit different. So that's 3 mainstream manufacturers you can consider. Look forward to the collection vid and the lookover on the way home.
Quick question for you about the auction places. So I used to look a lot at the vehicles online auctions and they all have different categories. I'm just a diy guy and have little knowledge on any of this sort of stuff but really enjoy. watching this channel.I just would like to know about the category x and uncategorized etc. What is best avoided and what would be a good choice for starters.interested in small vehicles not for profit but purely for learning. Any info is much appreciated.
Looking for tips Copart can legally bid the item up so long as they don’t go above the reserve price! This is a hot lot means there bidding it up.Sometimes they enter the wrong figures and cars double the rrp. Which in itself does not take into account the fact it’s a write off.
Hi, ilike you showing the cars for the beginner or someone starting out, any chance you could do some content on different types of trade insurance and just give some general info on who to use, what to pay, different options, if you have any knowledge about it that is. thanks, enjoy your vids
three hours just to edit a one second clip out of the video but we got there in the end sorry it’s so late
salvage rebuilds uk don’t apologize, we didn’t think we were getting to see it at all, so a short wait ain’t too much to worry about!
Jim Wilson thank you for your patience 👍

Brilliant video 👍🏻
I have no intention of repairing a car, just enjoy watching. Find it fascinating. Can't understand the thumbs down.
Haha, I'm the same Colin. There is something fascinating about this. I love the skill Rob has knowing what's what.
Great video as always rob .Good information on bidding keep up the good work.
I just finished my first car. Little i30 from Copart in one week.
Selling is not my strong Point lol
Fabulous video as usual
👍
Selling, pricing, reading the market and handling people are all skills that you need. Rebuilding salvage is not just about spanners and paint.
You are right there lol
You wont pick it up in 5 mins. You will have some big ups and some big downs, keep at it, do plenty of research before you bid or buy and as said u will need good people skills, get a good personal relationship with potential buyers, get them to like you. Goes a long way for me
Good advice , Thanks
Nice one, enjoyed the live bidding :-)
Mini was cheap. Looking forward to seeing it. It will be an easy sale too. The youngsters still like them. Nice one. Interesting vid.👍🍻
It's no rocket science Rob is it .If the numbers don't add up don't bid.👍🚘
