Agree completely. The large casters are a game changer. I've had an old Craftsman round seat for decades that has put me on my back many times. A few years ago I got a new one from Adam's Polishes. It has a large thick plastic seat that looks like an old Ford 8N tractor seat. Very comfortable. I stay away from the padded seats just because they are more easily damaged in the shop. I see Vevor is now selling a seat for $75 that looks just like the Adam's seat. Needless to say it's about $40 less than what Adam's is charging. Even with the large casters you have to be a little careful with all these seats when you have them extended up. If you lean forward to pick something up off the floor they can squirt out from under you and leave you staring at the ceiling. :-)
I've been through so many shop chairs over the years. I'm a big guy, so I'm admittedly hard on them...but they all suck and eventually break. This is a copy/rebrand of the Traxxion gear seat...I also had that one and the ball bearings started falling out of the caster swivels, the hydraulic cylinder failed, and eventually the seat frame broke. Then the Vyper Chair came out, and I started saving up some cash to buy it. It costs as much as a nice La-Z-Boy recliner, but man is it worth every cent that it costs. Its built like a complete tank. Super strong and smooth rolling 4" casters, powder coated steel frame and tool tray, acme thread adjustment rod (they also have a solid steel quick height adjustment option now), thick leather seat and perfectly sized/positioned backrest. I have no doubt that this will be the last shop chair I'll ever buy (I'm only 42)...and my son (14 months) will hopefully get a lifetime out of it too. Best of all, they're USA made in Green Bay, WI.
I relate with being a heavy guy and busting regular roller chairs. I broke three at the shop I worked and finally said screw it and re enforced an old roller chair with flat steel and some bolts and took off the crappy flat top seat and bolted on a seat I got off a cubcadet tractor. So far it's been the most comfortable shop chair I've ever had

I have the same one, it’s awesome. Excellent as I grow older AND as my tummy gets bigger. Recommend.
Being able to spin the tray around for parts is actually a good buying point for me.

I could not find a HF chair with large wheels.

You can put larger castors on the one with the smaa castors.
I wish they had a version with these wheels, and the other vented/low-sweat seat. Central TX is hitting 85F today y'all!
