Yes, you don't want to skip the home inspection. You also want your representation, your agent, to be at the final walk through. Many new builders tell agents, "oh, you don't need to bother, we do the walk through with the buyer. You can go sell another house." EVERY new builder has said that to me as a selling point as an agent. To me, that's a red flag!
