Oh boy... balloon notes are often suggested by loan officers with severely over inflated egos who work for lenders with their heads in the clouds. These lenders only care about how much interest you have in them. They would likely offer to patch up any leaking finances you may have by offering to refinance you into the ever popular Reverse mortgage endorsed by Mr Selleck. Oldsmar is a beautiful place to live (and visit) but unfortunately the Tampa Bay area isn't known for having a great public transportation system other than buses. As for the safety of any place you are considering I would recommend checking out the local sheriff's department website for crime stats because what I might consider safe you might not (or vice versa) Hope that helps :)

Florida has a softer soil than many other places and can have it's share of sinkholes. Very few are the large ones you see on the news. As long as the home has been remediated it is considered safe and insurable.

You should also reach out to the credit bureaus for a free copy of your credit report and review each report closely to be sure everything on there is correct.
