    How do you manage your endometriosis? Do other conditions hinder your treatment plan?

      Exercise really really helped me. It has at-least made my condition painless. But you are right, you have to be consistent. Plus, dietary changes. Great video!

      I was just now diagnosed with endometriosis. I started losing my hair, my skin became suddenly dry...extremely dry, itchy skin etc. My doctor said that unfortunately there’s nothing they can do about my hair. I have done nothing but cried all day. I’m so devastated.

    • @FootprintsNoBoundariesByShruti
      @FootprintsNoBoundariesByShruti  3 года назад

      @@womanwithtoolbelt9171 that's so so tough. There must've been an explanation from the doctor as to what exactly is causing the hair loss and itchy skin? Is it a hormone? Is there something that he/she sees in your blood results that is off and can be balanced out to at least stop more hair fall and the itchy skin?
      Is there a diet issue too? Is there another condition along with endometriosis that could be contributing to this?
      Please don't lose hope and question the doctor and if they're no help, then look to see an endometriosis specialist.
      I have endo and lost a lot of hair from it and from medication. Plus I have MCAS (which I've spoken of here: ruclips.net/video/M6ikBHIWWGw/видео.html). MCAS irritates my skin and contributes to endometriosis as well - that's what my doctor explained to me.
      Also, I tried a few things for my hair loss, and I've written about that too here: allthingsendometriosis.com/reduce-medication-caused-hair-loss/
      But honestly, it's best that the doctor guides you as to what is so off with your body that is causing such a symptom from endometriosis and look to first work on that. Like for me my hormones were off for many years and as that started to improve, so did my hair and skin. I'm trying so hard, not to send you too many links, but I just started a section of videos for skin and hair care - I'm gonna keep adding to it, so hopefully one day you may find something that helps: ruclips.net/video/j1hlUtHqmmg/видео.html
      Please take care.

      There are certain exercises that just make my pain worse. Fibromyalgia and ADHD definitely hinder me as well. And my severe anxiety. Im always scared that people will think im crying wolf or its not as bad as it seems.. or now that im finally getting my surgery.. im scared the people who didnt/dont believe me are going to be correct and theyll find nothing. Thank you for this video! Its definitely calming some of my anxieties.

    Very well done! I agree on all your points. I have been suffering from bulky uterus due to Adenomyosis, for the past 4 years. I by myself did research on what to eat and what not to eat to keep the heavy bleeding and pain in control. I am still doing research as some of the food aggravates pain and bleeding although some websites say safe to consume. You are correct about diet which should be customized for each individual. Because of heavy bleeding I became anemic. I go for iron infusion every 5 to 6 weeks. Had blood transfusion once. Yes, I lost lot of hair, my skin is dry and I always look pale. I try to consume healthy food to boost my energy. Some of the food to boost you: Dates (only 3-4 a day), Pomegranate (seeds or juice). Alternately, I drink Ensure to bring back my energy. Keep up the good work! Thank you

I have to go for frequent blood test to check my hemoglobin level. Every time I follow up with him he asks me if I want to go for hysterectomy. I have told him that I am trying different things and I don’t want to think about hysterectomy for now. He listens to me 😊

    I have fibromyalgia (diagnosed at 14) and endometriosis as well! Ive had awful periods since the day it started. Ive finally found a doctor that has listened to me and my cry for help. And now in 2 days im finally getting my diagnostic laparoscopic surgery to find if i do have endo and take it out if i do. Im so nervous.. and excited. Since no one has listened to me since the beginning.. its so nice to finally be heard. But im scared im crying wolf to myself and its not endometriosis and theyre going to find nothing in the surgery.. hopefully some one can relate to this. Sorry for the long post xx

      Hi Kelsey,
      I have had two laparoscopies - in one they did ablation surgery and the other was in 2019 when excision surgery was done. Despite the horrible pain and knowing my history with endo I still felt like you where I hoped they'd find something so that I was continued to be believed and that there was a reason for all this pain.
      I'm assuming you've now had your laparoscopy and I really hope they find what is causing you the problems and remove it.
      Hope you feel better very soon.
      Good luck.

    Bt then in Indian diet & for the middle class Indian its not feasible to go gluten free. As an East Indian it is hella expensive & u cant afford those fancy foods all the time. I wish more dieticians from India spoke about better & more economical food replacements based on research on the Indian Endo population (serious lack of research there). Good video btw

    • @FootprintsNoBoundariesByShruti
      @FootprintsNoBoundariesByShruti  2 года назад

      Hi! Thank you for raising this question/concern - it's one I used to have a problem with too.
      But over time, I have found Indian food provides me with helpful vegetarian and healthy options which are gluten free. In this video I speak of not eating whole wheat rotis/chapatis, instead having a mix of three gluten free flours which are easily available and way more economical than the expensive gluten-free bread out there. Yes, it requires more effort to think through it all, but there are economical options out there.
      What I'll do is put together some of the foods I make for myself which may help.
      But yes, I do feel Indian dieticians do need to be better aware of economical options out there rather than leaving it to their patients to do a lot of the research.

      Hi Ranjana,
      I'm so sorry to hear that you're mentally going through so much because of endo.
      The things that help me are: having a good doctor that understands endo well, an endometriosis diet in place, exercise, menstrual hygiene, relaxing the mind as much as possible, but I think what helped me very early on is also going through counselling - I did this as a teenager.
      I feel all these factors are very important in helping maintain mental health.
      Good luck with it.

      Once I'm all set with my diet, I am usually very very good at following it.
      I also have some favourite places that serve gluten free and dairy free food - from burgers to pizzas to pasta - it's so delicious that I don't miss the authentic junk food flavours that come with some of these (although pasta isn't junk food but it's gluten).
