  • There is endometriosis and PCOS - Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It's all similar, yet very different. They can be clubbed together and confused with one another yet it could be a misdiagnosis with endometriosis being ignored. Let's look to clear this confusion considering I have both conditions and many say "aren't they the same thing?!".

Thank u for this info!

Hi Kayla, if you feel so strongly that you have endometriosis, then it would be a good idea to seek an endometriosis specialist to help you out. Wishing you all the best in figuring it all out and getting the treatment you need. Thank you for dropping in a comment :)

@@FootprintsNoBoundariesByShruti I am actually looking now for another gyn and have been searching for specialist in my area that treat and diagnose Endo, I never thought I had it until this year bc I have had ongoing symptoms that have progressively gotten worse and unfortunately I feel like I am just a number at my current gyns office 😢

@@kaylagriffin-wells9242 I hope you find a good gynaecologist now - and do see if an endometriosis specialist can help you because they too are usually very well equipped in explaining the reasons why you're going through what you are. It might be worth getting that opinion. Fingers crossed it all works out.

@@FootprintsNoBoundariesByShruti I actually saw a RE today and their doing a laparoscopy soon to find out, she does think that’s what is causing my issues and she seems to be very knowledgeable and has a heart for what she does, I’ve been praying for a good doctor and I think I have found one finally! So blessed that she is taking me seriously Thank you so much for all your info, it’s sad I’ve gone sooo many years with this being misdiagnosed or just pushed off, she even said that happens a lot of the time because their training she said unfortunately not many doctors get good training with endometriosis.

I wish i could get checked and see what’s wrong with me but my parents don’t take me seriously

That's really sad. Maybe speak to your mother one-on-one - tell her you're really suffering (I'm assuming you have done that already).
Are you old enough to go for an appointment yourself? Maybe an older sister or someone you are very close to that your parents trust can help you speak to them?

i got diagnosed with pcos last year, it has been about a good 7-10 months since i have on birth control to help with my hormones and facial hair. i don’t think it is a good idea since it is only temporary and will not help long term. i am only 15 so i’m still young. Do you know anything that might help me with my hormones and fertility ? :( it made me cry when the doctor said i would have complications when i’m older

    • @FootprintsNoBoundariesByShruti
      @FootprintsNoBoundariesByShruti  2 года назад

I was told I would have complications later - many are told this but it isn't always true - we "COULD" or we "MAY" have complications but it's not certain.
You're 15 and in fact no matter what age you're at, you can work on your hormones through the right type of foods, and exercise. Please don't lose hope and it might be better to focus on doing the right things for yourself rather than worrying about a future that is still any years away. That stress in itself won't help your hormones. Please think of the now and be kind with what you eat, and your exercise. Please speak to your gynaecologist about a wholesome plan.
      Good luck :)

Im 18, got my first period 1 month before my 13 birthday (that period lasted more than 14 days) and just after my birthday (less than 14 days after my first) the pain was sooo bad. And from there on-every period = more pain, less and less days without pain. Now I've got pain EVERYDAY more or less and every symtom there is of endometriosis. Yet- since i was 13 no doctor/gynecologist has EVER even considered endometriosis EVEN THO my mom has it.. Like this is literally trauma now. I'm HORRIFIED before every period because I know it's only gonna get worse. And I live in Sweden "where the health-system is supposed 2 be great ".. Before this year is over I'm going 2 try 2 get my diagnosis because I know, and have known for years, that this is NOT normal yet everyone seems 2 think it is😑

I am so shocked that despite your mum having it and you having alll the symptoms for it and living in Sweden, this is what you're going through. I have no words. Have you tried online consultations with other doctors - maybe someone not in your city/country who is an endometriosis specialist?

      Hi Gurpreet,
I've done a video on what to expect after endometriosis surgery which you can check out here: ruclips.net/video/POKSeh724Xk/видео.html
As for getting pregnant, your endometriosis specialist would be able to tell you more as I don't have any experience in it.
Good luck and I really hope this surgery gives you the relief you need. :)
