    Is there a way to ensure duplication does not occur? For example, I have selected and deselected completed twice within the first bucket which then moves the task twice into the second bucket?

    I can't believe Microsoft made us make this stuff. This should be like one tick box at bucket properties.

    Is there a way to sort tasks based on when the due date is relative to the current date? For example: could I have power automate put tasks with due dates within a week of the current day into a bucket called "To Do This Week" and put all other tasks into a bucket called "To Do Long Term"

    Hi! Is there anyway to add checklist items when you "Create a task"?

    • @ThatOfficeGuy
      @ThatOfficeGuy  4 года назад +1

      Unfortunately not, this is something that is not currently in Power Automate. You can use the update details etc. just not checklists. Maybe this will be added in time, if it is added I will let you know.

    Hello! I use Tasks as a help desk for my employees and have created individual email notifications for each bucket (all in one i use 3 buckets).
    However, the notification is only received by the "creator" when moving from Bucket 1 to Bucket 2. This is because I close Bucket 1 as the "processor" and I am recorded as the "creator" in Bucket 2.
    Is it possible for the creator of Bucket 1 to also remain the creator of Bucket 2? Or is it possible to notify the "creator" of Bucket 1 when Bucket 2 is closed through a different flow? Thank you!

    Wondering is there a way to have Power Automate send an email when a task moves between buckets?

    • @ThatOfficeGuy
      @ThatOfficeGuy  4 года назад +3

      Hi Kerrie, you can use the “send email” action within each switch event. If you add this after the update details you will be able to send the email for each different switch scenario and use the data from previous steps to customise the email sent. You might also want to add the send email action for the last bucket and on the default switch event to send you for any errors etc.

    Im losing my mind. How do I carry forward the task assignees? Im using this to build a Kanban, but if it doesn't carry forward the assigned users to the task, it creates more work for someone to maintain this. HELP!

    In my case, I just want to move completed tasks to "Archive" Bucket's completed list.
    Currently, we are just drag and drop from other bucket completed list to "Archive" Bucket's completed list and I would want them completely gone from other's bucket completed list and only show up on "Archive" Bucket's completed list.

    Fine as long as you don't get caught thinking about how you have to become a programmer to copy a task in a task tracking application. There is something truly Kafka-esque about what you can't easily do with microsoft.

    Whenever I choose “value ID” or “BucketID” for get task details step, it always defaults to “Apply to all” How do I get rid of this?

  • @littleghost82

    Great idea, However, we use a bucket per a two week sprint with the week numbers in the bucket's title.
    These buckets get reused every so often.
    This means that the whole bucket id will not work :(
    That plus I wanted to "move" a task based on the filled in start date, not on a status.
    So I wanted to move a task that is in the backlog bucket and has the current date as start date, to the In progress bucket automatically.

  • @0tiii

    overcomplicated as fuck, just update the bucket id via graph API and HTTP
