@@lourlopezsk sure maybe we make more, but also cost of living here is much higher so it pretty much cancels out. this video literally couldn't have been better timed! I've been putting off travelling to wait for australias borders to open back up and go over on a whv but that's not happening for at least six months so decided I'm going to head off around Europe for the next six months instead until borders open up. leaving in a month and just handed in my notice for my jobs, about to book my one way flight to Greece! this is literally all thanks to you, found your channel about 4 years ago and you were my introduction into backpacking and whv etc, my life would've been so different had it not been for this channel (probably would've gone to uni etc) and I really will forever be beyond grateful for that! ❤️
Perfect timing! I just arrived in Tulum after landing in Cancun a few days ago. Planning to stay here and then travel through Central America. Been pushing up this trip for over a year and it feels unreal to finally be here. Have been enjoying watching your videos and taken a lot of tips with me. Thank you so much for all great advice! 🤩🤩
I am currently going through this process myself! I leave for Spain and Portugal next month and have my list of hostels/restaurants/beaches to explore but not much booked yet haha. Also I love exploring the big city I fly into the first couple of days to acclimate to the culture in the easiest way possible with everything I need right at my finger tips. This video is so accurate and helpful!
Loved this video! So helpful as always:) my country is finally getting a hold on the current situation and I have my sights set on spring 2022 for a solo europe trip
Hey Christianne, this video made my inner organisational nerd very happy haha! I find that planning is just as fun as the trip itself. Hope you’re doing well!
Thanks! I think this is what I need. I'm not starting my new job until august, and I have plenty of time (and money) to travel. First day of planning: I'm thinking of Portugal and Spain because of the language, culture and cities. However I also want to scuba dive, and keeping my budget down if I can. In that case Indonesia would be a great choice. Now I'm stuck between the two but I think writing all of my thoughts down will help me. I'm going to start with the questions and then follow your video step by step. Edit: Okay, two days later and I've figured out that Europe is too expensive for the things I want to do. Indonesia it is! I just ordered my backpack! :D Edit 2: You know what, this summer aint the one. Weddings and grad parties... and deciding where to go within a month, when my gut tells me something's not right. Nope, I'll wait and save the money. This summer = relax and have fun at home.

Dear @Backpacking Bananas Christianne, I finally was able to travel with my own EagleCreek Companion Backpack and it was great! Hey Christianne I am planning a trip to Central America and was wondering if you still use/recommend the grayl waterfilter? I love that it also removes viruses but my concern is how bulky & heavy the waterbottle is for only 710ml and the 250l filter life. Have you tried or seen anyone use a sawyer squeeze, katadyn befree or steripen?
