Stephanie Mills is a powerhouse! She is very underrated as one of the best vocalists ever!
Stephanie literally rocked the Apollo, not her first time, she's "home" when she's there, her stage presence is amazing, her vocals are stunning/mesmerizing and this song is in her dna, it can never be duplicated.
That woman is phenomenal... great voice, texture, and tone, and she really knows how to use it!!!

Yes Stephanie is gonna always be Stephanie., She never tried to be something she's not, she didn't play the "Hollywood" game and tried to "crossover" . That's why we love her and hold her in high regard.
Thank You for reacting to this she is truly amazing. Home is her signature and people know not to ever touch that song. Some songs are just meant to be kept untouched and Home by Stephanie is one of them.

I definitely enjoyed your reaction. I am 56 years old I have been a fan of Stephanie Mills since I was 10. Think I was like around 14 when a complete spell came over me listening to her. She belts without sounding like she screaming which is something that I really do like even though I love the screamers too. One of the things I appreciate about her is that she really takes care of herself for the most part she can still sing most of her songs the same way. Which me being a fan of hers is a wonderful gift which is why she still sells conscience out because she still sounds the same. Thanks again man you need to see her in concert if you haven't already. Even though she's like 60 something she's still doing the damn thing

Absolutely live for this live performance! I travelled all the way from the UK to catch her at BB Kings in NYC & then again on The soul train cruise. She’s one of the greatest & I am glad you think so too! Have you heard Angela Winbush version of ‘I have learned to respect…..’?

Stephanie Mills is the original Dorothy in the Broadway production of the "Wiz." Home was the signature song of from this production.
I miss programs like Showtime At The Apollo. She sounds awesome live…if you ever get a chance to see her please do.
I really miss it too nothing like hearing The voice live and getting the audience reaction in a professional camera way.
This is my girl from way back in The Wiz days.

This is what's wrong with your generation. This was common in the 70s and 80s. Music became beats and barely fit for human consumption. No exercise for the heart and soul
What did he have to do with the change in music?? He is literally paying homage to the great sangers of yesteryear and presenting their works for all to enjoy. What more do you want him to do? If you feel theres something/someone he failed to mention that you felt needs to be glorified then you should do what he did, get on YT, make a video and try to make it better 🙄😒
@@carameldiva5131 first, it's not necessary to bailout everyone when a critique is made. Second i made an observation. Our young are getting sanitized of legends. They are being made to live in a blur and our history forgotten. You could've side stepped the dart if it didn't fit.
